STAY AWAY. put $24 in gas, but this place put a $175 dollar HOLD on my card. This place is the ONLY PLACE AROUND who holds THAT MUCH, and tries to pretend they didn't do it purposefully. THIS AMOUNT is NOT COMMON ALL. No car on EARTH can hold that much gas, STAY AWAY from this place unless you want them playing with your money for DAYS AT A TIME.

A $200 hold for $30 in gas is outrageous. This is the kind of business practice that can cripple a family, especially the week of a major holiday. Bought gas on Monday and the amount didn't process until Thursday.
Edited to add: This is not standard. A hold of $50 is standard. If $50 is spent, then $100.

A clean and well stocked Shell! Friendly staff too. McDonalds next door makes it a good quick stop off I-64.

The Toano Shell station is my go to for a quick bite to eat. I tend to stop by about 2-3 times a week to pick up lunch since it’s so close to my work. I want to personally give Jackie 5 stars, she is so friendly, very helpful and always smiling.. I notice often she is the only employee working and does an excellent job keeping the store running.. There are times it can be very busy being so close to the interstate and Jackie handles everything smoothly.. Thank you Jackie for great service every time I stop in.

This is my go to gas station. Everyone that works there is so helpful and friendly, especially Jackie (morning staff). She is always a friendly face, working hard and keeping the store in check. It is really nice to have a place to go, where you feel at home and trust the staff. Thank you Jackie for being so kind and helpful, even in the rush of things and when customers aren't as patient.

Becareful when the white big lady with black hair is working. She's short and very rude. I tried purchasing a instore made cookie and I pointed out which one I would like and she said that "you get what you get". I as a paying customer would not stand for that as it's my hard earned money I should get what I choose for. She then proceeded to state that "she didn't care" if I spoke to the owner about this horrible customer service and cursed at me. She said she gets complaints all the time and the owner doesn't do anything so Goodluck. And that looks to be true as she still has a job there!

Manager is real rude. She is a racist. She referred to me as “YOU PEOPLE”. And I’m a professional African American Man. She had an attitude with one of the workers whom was also an African American male. But was real respectful to the Caucasian woman. WOW. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

My husband said the service was nice so I give it two stars for that. The women's bathroom smelled like strong pee and trash was overflowing everywhere. My husband said the mens was filthy as well.
