“This isn't my church. But the light I see coming out of there is amazing. I see Christ through the way their works are in the community. And it makes me smile. Keep spreading the word and the love. I love you guys”
“I walked into NovaHub in Woodbridge, Virginia expecting nothing But to be spectator. I was simply there to support a friend who was being ordained. I thought I would slip in and out quietly, unnoticed, untouched. What I did not expect was to encounter the presence of God in such a personal and healing way.
To be honest, I was not ready to be in a church. After losing my father, my heart had been in a place of quiet mourning and spiritual distance. Though I have been a believer since I was fifteen and a faithful member of my home church for over thirty years, I had not yet reconciled my grief with the God I have loved and served. So when I realized I had walked into a full church service, panic overtook me. My body froze. My chest tightened. I had to step out.
And that is when God met me.
As I turned to leave, my eyes locked with a woman wearing a name tag so I figured she worked with the church. I asked her to step away with me and asked a few questions. I had never done anything like that before. But something about her spirit was so calm, so grounded, so full of grace that I found myself pouring out my heart to her. I told her about my grief. My fear. My hesitation. She did not flinch. She did not try to fix me. She simply embraced me and asked if she could pray.
In that moment, something broke open in me. The tears came freely. The weight lifted. For the first time in two years, I felt peace. I felt seen. I felt held by God through the arms of a stranger.
I later found out her name is Deaconess Katrina. I will never forget her. If Nova Hub is led by people like her, then it is more than a church. It is a sanctuary. A place where the broken can breathe again. A place where the Spirit of God does not wait for the sermon to move but meets you in the hallway, in the foyer, in the moment you think you cannot go on.
The ordination service was beautiful. The worship was powerful. But what changed me was the love I encountered before the service even began. That love reminded me that God is still near. That healing is still possible. That maybe, just maybe, I am not as far from home as I thought.
NovaHub is not just a church. It is a place where heaven touches earth. And I am grateful I walked through those doors.”

“I love my church and every pastor and leader that serves in it and I thank you for it, remember is the Lord who gives the reward.
Pastor Bob and Wendy I pray the Lord guide you in this time and I know He will just as He has done it before. The Lord is with you.
It’s unfair that a handful of people voted on such an important decision without considering the entire congregation; how about letting us “vote” on matters that will affect the entire church?
I’m disappointed at the people that did this.
Unfortunately the image of the church seem unstable where at any given moment a handful of people might “vote” you out.”

“I went here in 1978-80. My sister and I stopped in reminisce. It grew! But what stayed the same was God’s love was everywhere. His presence was felt. I can’t wait for Covid stuff to be over so we can fellowship again. ??”
“The Mount has changed my life. Pastor Adam is an incredible orator and every message has an impact. If you're searching for a church that makes you feel welcomed, seen, and loved-no matter where you are on your journey-look no further.”

“An SBC church with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The church is very friendly towards visitors and good about following up for prayer needs. The music is mostly aligned towards the traditional Hymn singing, with upbeat songs sprinkled in.The church seems to have a heart towards missions, evangelism, and spiritual growth, which aligns with the tenants of the Christian faith. The pastor appears to be very knowledgeable in the Word, and his sermons flow nicely and align with sound biblical doctrine. He is obviously very experienced in ministry work. The congregation is mostly over 40 years of age, but there are some younger families and youth. The church and its leadership are racially diverse, which is a very good thing to see.I like to visit here when I need a break from my pentecostal church.”

“Been searching for a church since I arrived in the DMV area. The people are amazing. Feels like home. I really love this church and the pastor is serving the Word. May God continue to bless Ebenezer Baptist Church!”
“I use to attend star many years ago before I moved away . It was one of the best churches I’ve ever attended. The church was filled with so much joy and good vibes I didn’t miss a Sunday attending the service. I plan on someday soon visiting . Such a good church to attend. The word from the pastor is very clear”
