Beautiful Place and great staff!! I was here for a 10 day school trip for wildlife studies and this was the best place I could imagine to go. Trails all around it and so many activities to do! If you're in the area you have to stop by.

Such an awesome place. I hope this old girls school turned event center lasts for generations to come. Its such a perfect spot to hold large gatherings. It would be interesting if it were turned into a boutique hotel too. Perfect setup for that. But for camps, absolutely perfect.
Blue Ridge Discovery Center draws on a rich vein of local knowledge to highlight the enormous variety of flora, fauna, geology, and habitats that make up the globally-unique Blue Ridge ecosystem. We believe that hands-on experiential learning the best way to have a lasting impact. Our aim is to provide opportunities for ages 0-99 to discover the Blue Ridge. We do this through a variety of programs, all of which revolve around either getting participants into real context or bringing that context to them. Our programs allow for activity to be interest-driven and are focused on inquiry. This develops critical thinking skills, responsibility, and personal value, the keys to building the next generation of stewards.
