About Fluvanna County SPCA
The Fluvanna County SPCA is a small, rural, open-intake shelter with a life-saving mission to rescue domestic animals in the county from cruelty, neglect, and abandonment and to place them in good, loving, permanent homes. It works hard to maintain a "No-Kill" philosophy, meaning it does not euthanize for space. The staff and volunteers are described as incredibly friendly, efficient, helpful, professional, kind, compassionate, and absolutely incredible. Their love for animals shines brightly and they are laser-focused on animal welfare. The adoption and foster processes are consistently reported as effortless, efficient, easy, pleasant, and stress-free. The facility offers a well-kept, shaded walking trail and a play area for meetings. Many reviewers utilized the foster-to-adopt program and received excellent communication and support throughout. The experience is summarized as exceptional, wonderful, and the best from an animal shelter. Reviewers highly recommend the Fluvanna SPCA to anyone considering adoption and encourage supporting their efforts. Please note the shelter can only accept strays and surrenders from Fluvanna County.

The staff and volunteers do an amazing job of taking care of the animals here. It is encouraging and heartwarming to see how well these animals are loved and how hard they work at finding them homes. We fostered to adopt a cat and would recommend Fluvanna SPCA to anyone.
