Abmar, Marysia and the rest of the coaching staff are awesome. They foster a very family friendly and welcoming environment. The coaching level is also very high, so you will learn a lot from them. Could not recommend it enough to anybody in the NOVA/DC area.

Luckily found this gym 2 years ago to try out BJJ and have been going ever since. The instructors are excellent and the students are all great people and great training partners. This place has changed my life for the better. They also have an amazing kids program.

First time trying BJJ and Abmar Barbosa Academy couldn't of been a better spot to start out! The Instructors are phenomenal and everyone is welcoming. Highly recommend if you're looking to get into BJJ!
