This is the worst place to go. Firstly, they never showed me a contract. Nothing was ever signed, with no terms and conditions. When giving my credit card, I asked one question if I would be able to pause my membership at any time? I was told, "Yes." I paused 2 months later, and they charged me while paused 5 additional months. I returned to the country but no longer worked in the area nor lived there I told them to cancel and spoke to their head Manager Joe out of the DC location as Anthony at tysons just didnt want to reason. Joe said no problem, they will discard the 3 months for free. Joe asked me what it would take to bring me back. I said when i asked for pausing the service when traveling and not paying. He said they could not do. Per EQUINOX new policy, they still will charge customers while pausing the service. I said that doesn't work for me. I never signed a contract, and I was never given one to even read the terms and conditions because had i known this, i would never have provided any credit card information. Not only this, i was told they only way to come EQUINOX is that i must work or live in the area. Well, i dont live in the area, and i lost my job, so i no longer work in that area either. Joe said he was sad to see me go. I asked him to look at the contract that Anthony sent me as i have never seen that before, and it has none of my signatures anywhere. Now i received a call from the collections they want me to pay for 3 additional months sent me to collections. I asked the lady from collections to see that contract and show me where it has my signatures she even said that without a legally binding contract, they should not have sent this to collections. I added her, Joe, and Anthony on the email. 2 days have passed, and there no honorable response from any one of them. I had to tell them that by law, there needs to be a contract in place. So now I must take this in small claims court as without any contract I shouldn't be paying. They should have told me their terms and conditions when they asked for my CCDo yourself a favor and DO NOT attend Money Hungry Gym with no morals. I wrote to Joe, their head manager, as he told me they would waive and call it a day when he too saw no signatures, no legit contract was signed. In the state of VA, a contract has to be signed to be lawfully binding. Now I will have to spend my time in small claims court to show that I am not legally liable to pay when I was never given any contract to sign from March to July they collected enough money from me while I was not even in the country. They seem so money hungry that they don't honor their words!!!! And what happened to Joe's a Head Distract or was he Regional manager who said he would waive the last 3 months to now get a call from collections without any legitimate contract on file how does this gym have a reputation???? I have saved all my emails, and I know I didn't even see a contract. Never mind sign one.Ok they have contacted me since and swore it was a mistake that I didn't owe them any money and will take care of collections so I will do my part and take this down next week as soon as I get a confirmation I will delete this post just awaiting confirmationOk update I just received another letter from their collections so they still haven't kept their promise. Silly thing is the collections lady Sally is saying they sent her a contract I asked her to check for signatures and she was dumb founded. So the battle is still on going when is equinox going to do the right thing? They told me they would take care of this error the question is WHEN????

THEY HAVE A SPA!!! A hidden secret you must try! The massage I received today by DELEIGH, was amazing! Her magical ability to find the tight spots and work all the muscles is spot on. DELEIGH's training, knowledge and experience combined with her soft-spoken professional manner, care and concern, always make me feel at ease. She takes the time to ask all the right questions up front and during massage, ensuring the pressure, heat, aroma, etc., are right for me. The spa is beautiful and inviting. The room was clean, appropriately lit and music was relaxing. The heated massage table is luxurious! They have a nice steam room and showers including towels and toiletries providing a nice way to end the visit. My skin so soft and smooth now, an added bonus! I feel new from head to toe.ASK for DELEIGH when you schedule your massage, she is trained in many techniques, will treat you with respect and take good care of you. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing gym! Life changing classes and instructors. Gym and locker rooms are always clean. Covered, free parking. Tysons corner mall and Nordstrom rack right next door. No idea why anyone would rate less than 5 stars!

Erika Ambrosino has such a nasty attitude. I hope that my first time interacting with her was almost my last... It really sours an otherwise decent club. The trainers all seem nice and the facilities are decent.

I too moved from LA to the VA area like the other lady who wrote a post a few months ago. I've been spoiled on what luxury is at the Equinox locations across LA. At this location, you have to bring your own padlock for the locker; the locker room is worse than that of a high school locker room. This place is depressing. I just found out I can buy an entire year of membership at 24 hour fitness for 1 month of fees at Equinox. This place is a dump - does not represent the Equinox name at all. I have the Century City- Destination membership and they didn't even know what that was and tried to upsell me - when I told I already had the Destination Membership - everyone was so confused. This is basically the YMCA - I agree with the other comment.

I have been a member of Equinox for over 5 years, and I must say, my recent move from the Hudson Yards Equinox to Tysons last year has been a disappointing experience. This Equinox should seriously consider rebranding itself as a YMCA because the quality has severely declined.Comparing it to other gyms, like the LA Fitness in Herndon, which costs a fraction of the price, this Equinox falls far behind. It's shocking to me that a gym at this price point lacks basic amenities like a sauna or hot tub.My concerns have been brought up to the management, but they are absolutely terrible and unresponsive. I highly doubt they will make any improvements in the future, leaving members like me feeling frustrated and unheard. The experience with a small portion staff, especially with Hesham, has been absolutely terrible. It's not just my opinion either; other reviews mention the same issue. The trainers here have an annoying habit of hovering over you with their clients while you're working out, which creates a sense of anxiety and discomfort. It's hard to focus on your workout when you constantly feel like you need to distance yourself from them.In conclusion, I strongly advise you to protect your hard-earned money and explore alternative gym options or consider a different Equinox location instead of this one. The glaring lack of essential amenities, unresponsive management, and unsatisfactory staff experience make it an establishment best avoided. While management may respond to this review with promises of improvement, based on my experiences, it seems more like a deceptive marketing tactic rather than genuine efforts to address the issues at hand. Proceed with caution and choose wisely for a better fitness experience. In good health,Leo

Great gym and wonderful staff (Hesham Nadri). The gym is clean and upscale. The staff is knowledgeable and professional. This location exemplifies the high quality that Equinox delivers.

This review is the last thing I want to do. Going to Equinox in Los Angeles for the last couple of years indeed did the job of setting the standard for what to expect. But then I had to relocate to VA for a year, and when I tell you, this is more of a YMCA version of Equinox than the whole luxury experience you are supposed to get. From the dated bathrooms and equipment, you won't feel the price tag is worth it. So let's get to the point of my review. Yesterday, I had the worst experience I ever had at an equinox. A trainer and her client approached me. I was asked how much longer I had, even though I just started. As a trainer, you would think they would be able to do the same workout with free weights, but no. They stood in front of me until I could no longer move the machine. I couldn't believe it, so I ended my workout early because I was in such disbelief that I needed to distance myself. This is the culture of the Equinox Tysons that can't compete with better locations. Trainers are flooding the floors while their clients talk to each other rather than completing the sessions they pay for. The bottom line is that the gym's culture is a YMCA with pushy trainers, not the plush/ luxurious gym you want it to be for the price tag….

After dealing with a horrible experience at Anthem Row I tried this location and the manager Saolo was very genuine and understanding. He made me feel at home and at peace in the gym. I really appreciate his kind heart and genuine care and love for the members. The trainer Arbab was great he was very helpful and kind.

I was a previous member of Equinox (Bethesda and Tysons) and after trying different gyms decided to rejoin. After the stay-at-home orders were lifted, I joined a gym closer to my home and it was going pretty great until they opened the class sizes back to full capacity but without the same cleaning standards that were previously in place.I gym hopped a bit and decided on whim to look back at Equinox - Tysons. I filled out the online form and wasn’t expecting a response till the next day since it was closer to 4:00 pm when I submitted it.Hesham, one of their membership advisors reached to me to see if I would like to schedule a tour. I figured let me see if theycould see when me at 4:45-5 the same day. Hesham said that would be great and off I went after work.My tour with Hesham went great and even being a previous member, I was truly appreciative that he didn’t just “go with the motions.” Yes, I know membership advisors are about getting people to sign up plus at the end of the day; they have sales goals to meet. However, in any situation that can be a hard-sale environment. I become hyper-aware of certain tactics and body language.Hesham did not do a hard-sale and made my decision to rejoin easy. Since I’ve rejoined, he has followed up with me on how everything is going plus just checking in. This type of customer service is hard to find nowadays and when it is. It needs to be acknowledged. So hopefully, this review makes it to the General Manager so they know they have a great representative in Hesham.

Erika, Hesham are a nightmareErika doesn’t even have a hint of communication nor customer service skills. Very disrespectful makes it seem like I’m visiting her house uninvited.Hesham on the other hand means well but is just incompetent. The GM is very nice just incompetent and in capable of running a gym especially one as luxury as equinox.Remember all these reviews that are left from employees should be taken as feedback to correct the issues.Equinox employees in the whole DMV needs retraining LEARN FROM lifetime and equinox in New York !!!!!equinox is plummeting interms of quality, service, & stock value.I hope equinox fixes these issues I love the gym as many other do as well but we get turned off when we’re met by incompetent and disrespectful employees.
