“I've been shopping at this Giant since moving to Vienna in 2005. Over the years I've noticed several interesting things. Over the years I've watched the trash cans move farther and farther away from the front door. Today, there are two. One almost at the extreme left of the entrance door near Branch Road SE, and the other almost to the front door of the next door CVS. I get it. If I worked there I'd probably get tired of emptying trash cans too. But moving them to the opposite ends of the store isn't a customer friendly solution. My other observation was the years ago installation of the self-checkout scanner kiosk. I loved this addition. You stopped, put in your customer number, and picked up a handy scanner and bags when they installed it. Then...the plastic bags disappeared. Then the kiosk got moved so its actually behind the entrance door and you have to make a hard left to find it. Then the reusable bags placed there in place of the plastic bags disappeared. I get it. You don't want folks to use to the self-check scanners. Maybe its time you got rid of it if you don't want to make it convenient for folks to use. But, the store is almost always spotlessly clean. With fresh produce available. Great meat selection. Good selection of dry goods. Easy parking. Easy checkout. Friendly staff. Great seafood. The Deli counter folks are awesome. Good and tasty prepared food at lunchtime and dinner.”
“I had the most amazing experience with the pharmacy this morning- specifically a pharmacist named Tina. I was 20 minutes late for my appointment and didn't even have all my documentation after an extremely hectic morning. Tina was professional, compassionate, understanding - and it all worked out. We always used the PanAm Walgreens because they have a drive-thru and this one does not but I have never encountered such a competent pharmacist before today - regardless of whether it was a Walgreens or another chain... we will definitely be back for any prescription needs. Plus they have ample disabled parking spaces... perhaps it's because the building used to be for a grocery store(?) but generally it's hard to find disabled parking open at other nearby locations. They also took their covid precautions seriously between customers as they were masked and used hand sanitizer between customers.”

“People give 1 star reviews over grocery store pizza. It's grocery store pizza in Fairfax county.Harris Teeter is my closest option to Kroger and In my opinion a far better option than the staff at Safeway or the marked up prices at Giant.Sure shop at Wegmans and pay $30 for that same pizza!Get a free HT VIC card and watch for sales. Some days I've saved $50. Multiple buy one get one offers. Produce is hit or miss but it's also hard to get good watermelon anywhere in January.”
