The NFCU response to my problem seems to be the same as other 1-star reviews. Is this the sentiment of a company that cares about customer satisfaction?

Do not bank here! Move your money asap. They will not support you when fraud occurs. Their investigators do not read the supporting information and deny true fraud claims. All so Navy Fed can keep thousands of dollars of Your money! I have used navy Fed for decades until they did me wrong on fraudulent charges on my account. I got the run around for months and no one really helped after submitting many attachment In NAVY FED application. Navy Fed claims they care about their members. They do not! Stick with NWFCU or USAA. Both have significantly better customer service and fraud prevention than Navy Federal Credit Union

Horrible customer service. I spoke to Uri about a Navy Federal error that I noticed on my account. She was very rude, and gave very short responses to my questions. When I asked to be transferred to a manager she put me on hold before I could even finish the question. I could completely understand if I was rude, but I was not and the behavior was uncalled for. I am genuinely grateful for the manager that was able to answer my questions and assist me in fixing the issue.

I used to be in favor of this credit union but it is clear that in the last few years, they do not care about their members as they say they do. Members are numbers entered into an algorithm that either shows whether you'll be a benefit to Navy Federal or a liability. When members fall into hardships, they lack empathy, and are looked at as a liability. Things happen in peoples lives that at times, put them in a tricky situation. When you offer in good faith to pay loans, etc, they are not willing to work with you, but they will surely keep you on the phone and get your hopes up. Disappointed and looking to switch banks asap.

The credit Union held direct deposits longer than any other bank or credit union I have banked with. They didn't honor the timeframes that they tell you for clearing checks. I have switched to other banks off an on through my time banking with them and holding on to them just for a rare function that they sometimes offer better VA home Loan interest rates.

Navy Federal Customer Service has declined greatly in the nearly 25 years I have been a customer. I have messaged customer service on the app and their responses have had the completely wrong name, wrong answers (meaning it is about some issue I never even asked about), and given inaccurate information. I stopped going to NFCU for vehicle loans and closed my credit card with them. Just not happy with their service anymore.

if you're going to get a loan, don't go with his company they're horrible they lie. They try anything they can to get money. Even if you close an account they will re-open. It randomly so racks of interest do not go with them.

Here is the email corispondence i recieved from navy federal regaurding the outcome of the request to have a credit inquiry masked on my credit report after they processed a hard inquiry on my credit report before speaking to a loan originator and paying the processing fee. Navy federal admitted that during their application process once a soft pull of a customers credit happens in the system it automatically triggers a hard pull on that customers report prior to aditional processing of the application. According to the Navy Federal employee even if the customer meets the minimum requirements based on the soft pull of their credit report rather than using that information that is provided in the soft pull to go ahead and make a determination in the application request since the customer meets all the requirements instead Navy Federal chooses to ignore the information provided in the soft pull when making a decision to proceed with an application and automatically creates a Hard Inquiry request with the credit bureau despit the customer already meeting the guidlines for the company to make a decision prior to taking adverse action against the customer private information contained within their credit report. Thereforee, after I called in and canceled my mortgage request altogether through Navy Federal they still went ahead and pulled my credit even though i told them NO over the phone and recinded mt application online effectively terminating any previous concent that was given online through the application process, which was no longer valid for credit use purposes due to the termination of the request. After speaking to a supervisor I was promised over the phone that Navy Federal could correct their mistake by offering me a credit inquiry mask with the credit bureaus. At this point I was satisfied with the solution provided and was happy to continue on being a loyal customer of Navy Federal for nearly 10 years because they had effectivly resolved my issue that was caused by their actions regardless of my attemps to prevent such actions from taking place. But after weeks and a month went by and no communications or no results on their behalf to correct the issue where being taken I could tell that I was being ignored at that point and when things didnt happen I was forced to open a complaint into the matter with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to gain traction and get Navy Federal to follow through with their promises to the customer. But in the end rather than doing the right thing and following through with what I was promised by a supervisor in the credit and loan department Navy Federal went and did a complete 360 opening an unnecessary investigation into the matter after the fact that a already agreed upon solution was in place. Then during the course of their investigation they completely refused to accept any responsibility for abusing comsumer credit reports and devious business practices for the way their online software is setup to take actions on behalf of the user without following appropriate measure to protect the end user in this instance. Not only that but both Navy Federal and the customer service agent took this matter a step further in not only reniging on their word but also going as far as to place the blame on me personally rather than owning up to the violations...instead they said that I was wrong and I didnt have any rights to get this abuse of private protected information corrected because it was my fault that the hard inquiry was pulled before I had even payed the application processing fee for the credit report it was already pulled before I agreed to pay for it. To me this seems like the logical progression of steps in the application process where ignored or in this case backwards and that is the major problem that I would caution any future user of Navy Federals Mortgage Loan application process expecially online because of the automation proccess built into Navy Federals loan application system is setup to automatically place these hard inquiries on customers reports prior to the

Elka from the Equity Loan Deportment is a 5 Star employee. She was instrumental in assisting me to complete the online application that I could not complete because NFCU servers were giving an ERROR message every time I tried to complete a certain stage in the loan application. Elka was very thorough, courteous, professional, and very pleasant to work with. A truly excellent experience. Thank you Elka. V/R LtCol Sanny, USMC (Ret)

Silverman Theologou is a debt collection firm for Navy Federal Credit Union. Recently they obtained the entire State of Florida. Their attorney is working from a "virtual office" in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is a small firm. He's being reviewed by the Florida Bar. Should you be a defendant, make sure you hire an attorney and fight your case. You'll win and tie this up for years to come! He's taken down his website. Easy to trace on your docs regarding the Bar information and report him as needed.

Absolute trash organization with the least experienced employees in the industry, the most outdated legacy mainframe systems that fail or are hacked regularly, extraordinarily inexperienced leadership that regularly violates common knowledge regulations and does not actually care about members, and from the top, an organization that doesn't do what it says. This is a not for profit organization, with a primary objective to provide better savings and loan rates and better service through the tax benefits they reap. Their savings and loan rates are always beat and their member service is generally horrendous. Go shop navy federal right now, they will be beat in every way by 10 organizations at least. This organization's financials are public, it and its leadership have profited extraordinary amounts from the very people that protect their right to do so. It's stealing in broad daylight and taking advantage of blind loyalty. NOT FOR PROFIT managers and vp's and front office people with a parking garage like you'd find at the Ritz, multi-million dollar homes, lavish dinners and trips in the tens of thousands and even 6 figures, and regular annual 6 figure bonuses. Not much of a not for profit or honorable military organization. Open your eyes before continuing to be taken advantage of or there's major collapse or hack.

Do not use this credit union if you want good customer service! Bank of America treats you better (and that is a very low bar) Langley fcu is the way to go if you like good customer service and a credit union

Thanks for telling me this is not what you strive for. I guess the bar is very low. Because what I wrote is the truth and as you can see I am pulling my money out at a snails pace cuz you will only let me transfer 5k at a time to my new bank. Once again my money but do to your restrictions of my money a simple transfer is taking days and then there is the 5 day hold ridiculous. I can nit wait to be done with your worthless bank! oh wait I am going to have to wait till my transfers are complete...

Terrible credit union. My son's campus checking account was hacked- had non-existent checks deposited and overdrew the account by about $9000. It is nearly impossible to speak to fraud department, had to wait on hold for hours. They "investigated" this event, never contacted me, never gave me any information regarding their "findings" but report that we are liable for the money- when we had nothing to do with this. They will not return calls, letters nor messages and I cannot wait on hold for hours to speak with them. We discussing this with our lawyer. DO NOT USE NAVY FEDERAL!!!!!!!
