My first and last visit to this location was ruined by a Teller by the name of Margaret. Her attitude was very rude to my friend. Perception is EVERYTHING and neither of us felt as though she wanted us in that establishment. I will say this...the Caucasian customers that she assisted were not treated with condescending responses to questions or statements and she did not glare at them like they didn'tbelong there. My friend and I made no mention about her behavior until we exited the credit union but we were both surprised that we got the same feeling. I'll stick with my bank.

I’m reviewing to this branch since that’s what my Caller ID shows - I absolutely DREAD having to call. You end up on hold for upwards of 2 hours, as they play promos for “everything” you can do online. I did the “call back” feature one evening when I didn’t have the time to sit around and wait, and guess what…I NEVER received a call back. And not mention, doing a mobile check deposit is a complete hassle. Haven’t done one yet that doesn’t get rejected, throw my account into a tail spin and then requires me to do it all over again. I work for a cooperative, and we would never treat our “members” this way. Unacceptable.

NWCU took over our old credit union that we had ZERO problems with. Since the take over.... When new debit cards were issued my new one was mailed to address that we no longer lived at for over 8 years so I never received (my wife had hers mailed to correct address). When I get there the card printer is malfunction so I got issued a card with numbers missing and misprinted on back. I couldn't even tell what the 3 digit security code was. A few weeks later the card was not working. Go back to NWCU and was told the card had a hold on it because of a fraud alert. Okay, well that good but I was never notified of this, they just shut it down. So I needed a new one printed. This time the PIN system was down so I couldn't get a new card at NWCU they would have to mail one to me. My wife also got her new CC associated with our account but I didn't get mine and was told that I couldn't get a CC because I wasn't listed in the system as having authorization to have one. I had one with the old credit union pre take over by NWCU for over 15 years. So no new debit for a week and cannot get CC attached to our account means I have no access to my money for at least 5-7 days. Oh, and they had a women we don't know associated with our account. NWCU is a dumpster fire. The only reason I give even one star is the associates at the branch are always nice and apologetic and these problems are out of their control to solve.

Worst bank you could ever pick. I have never not had to wait an hour to talk to a representative. It’s not convenient whatsoever. The representatives are rude and unhelpful. They will put you on hold for hours, talk to you for 2 seconds then transfer you to a machine to fix your problem that’s broken. Worst bank ever

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CREDIT UNION.... Go to Apple, Navy Fed, or other Credit Union... Especially for lending. They are very misleading and provide inaccurate information. 3 years of income and employment verification for a simple small loan SMHMy credit is is impecable currently how are they looking at these applications?

Jesus Christ I swear to god nobody that works there knows what they're doing, dude every time I come in here I have to wait at minimum 15 minutes to get whatever issue resolved, if at all. Every time i try to go to sleep I'm stuck thinking about how the person who typically handles the door (either security or a managerial role (I'm not one to assume his title)) needs to assist 80% of the people working the desks with their jobs. I am the most unlucky human being to ever live because both of my parents decided to put all the money for my college fund into this bank. If I ever walk into this credit union ever again I will probably claw my eyes out. Wouldn't recommend. This is not a joke at all I've had time to edit this review 3 times all in the span of one meeting.

Needed to make some major account changes for my elderly father.Had the great pleasure of meeting and working with Juan Saravia & Todd Holden! They were both very professional and knowledgeable! I also decided to open an account! Thanks to Juan & Todd and the NW Team!

BEWARE! Do not, I repeat DO NOT involve yourself with this company. Northwest Credit Union is the worst financial institution ever. Terrible customer service.

Great for a car loan. New or Used. Quick decision making and fair. I have financed 6 cars through them in the last 8 years. Banking side.....your better off going to a community bank such as Burke & Herbert Bank. This NWFCU branch has long lines on Saturday and have extended holds on deposits regardless of your banking relationship. In addition they have ATM fees and account requirements. Their MM and CD rates are not competitive and neither are their HELOC rates. The staff has changed significantly recently and not for the best.

This is THE absolute worst bank I've ever dealt with. I started off having an account with them about 10 years ago and things were great. Now however, they don't deserve to be called a “credit unionâ€. They should really take a lesson from Navy Federal and USAA (real credit unions). The customer service here has declined tremendously, the website is always like taking a trip in the past (it looks horrible), and their policies aren't at all accommodating for the customer. I ordered a new credit card and the earliest they could get it to me was in 3 days. Other credit unions/banks can get it to you within the next 24 hours, and do it securely. Finally, the employees are rude and unprofessional. Until this “credit union†takes time to do some serious adjusting and upgrading I would highly advise you NOT to bank here.

They mixed up my cc application/ss with my sisters. I dont understand how a company in 2019 can do that...I never thought getting a credit card could be such a painful process. This bank has gone extremely downhill

Customer service is great and they do their best to help everyone they speak with. Unfortunately I have a delinquent account with this credit union due to unforeseen circumstances. I called Today ready to make a payment as well as set up a payment plan (with me paying more than the requested monthly amount) and I was unable to do any of this. I truly think it doesn't make any since for a customer not to be able to make a payment as soon as possible no matter what. Especially since I receive daily phone calls. I work 2 jobs 8am-9pm (13hrs) 6days a week. I'm off on Sundays. My situation is not their fault, but they are not making anything convenient in regards to making sure I am able to make payment.
