White Swan Bridal boutique’s caring owner Anna and her fabulous team of seamstresses are very special! Their service, talent, and expertise are top notch. They are committed to excellence in finding your perfect new gown or they can lovingly restore your treasured vintage wedding gown. Our two daughters got married within seven months of each other. Thus, we have visited most of the wedding salons in the DC area. I can honestly say that our experience at White Swan Bridal Boutique was absolutely the best! They truly work their hardest to do everything they can to deliver exactly what the bride hopes to have. One daughter’s dress required a bustle that was elegant and had tailored lines. None of the traditional bustles looked right. Anna’s mother, who started White Swan, had invented a unique bustle that worked perfectly for this type of dress. It truly completed and complimented the wedding gown’s design! If I could have, I would have given Anna, Mya, & Natalia 10 stars. White Swan Bridal is who you want on your wedding team.**After the wedding is over, they also provide careful gown cleaning and preservation for a good price!

I had the best experience working with White Swan Bridal. Their team was so helpful and knowledgeable. They had an incredible selection of dresses with a variety of styles and shades. At my first fitting, they were so helpful in helping me pick the perfect dress for me. I had another fitting so I could get custom measurements taken to be sent back to the designer. Since I am only 5'4" and wore flats for my wedding they recommended that I do a custom short hem and the dress ended up being the perfect length. The fit couldn't have been better! Once the dress was back from the designer all that needed to be done was add cups for the bust of the dress and bustle. They showed me a couple of different options of how I could bustle it so I was able to pick. I also picked out my cathedral veil at their shop. I had a final fitting and picked up my dress about a month before my wedding. They were super flexible in scheduling for all my appointments and gave wonderful insight and instruction on how to steam and prepare the dress for the big day. I couldn't have picked a better shop to work with and absolutely loved my dress!

I found my dress here which was great. However, when I returned for alterations they tried to charge me $1100, which was outrageous. Then they tried to drop it to $750 and then $500, so obviously it was a scam. I ended up going elsewhere and paying $200, so not sure I’d really recommend this place unless you have a specific dress in mind that’s in store.

I would not recommend this shop especially for your first time trying on dresses. I picked this place because it seemed like they had a huge selection of designers, but the shop itself had pretty much nothing. If you've never been dress shopping before, most shops will have consultants that will ask you what kind of dress you're looking for, and they'll pull dresses for you to try on. When I came in they were friendly, but told me to just pick what I liked from the mannequins and they'd grab them for me. The associate "helping" me didn't really help much at all. She kind of left me alone to struggle to put on the dresses and when i asked for help to be zipped up, she didn't even really do that. Also, stay away if you're plus size, I'm a size 12 and they had nothing that fit me. They didn't even try to make the dress work in such a way to give me an idea of how it would look. Which is what I experienced at a better shop. The dresses are also very expensive for the service that I received. I really do not recommend unless they have the exact dress that you want.

Mother of the groom dress. Limited selection but I found a dress. After I put down my 50% non-refundable deposit for the dress the staff was much less responsive, down right dismissive of me. Before purchasing the dress they lead me to believe alterations were no problem. Well, when I went to the shop for my alterations the ignored me. They had my money, and they were pretty much done. The way they treated me was downright rude. And luckily for me, that was the case because I was so annoyed I wasn't gonna get my dress altered there. They wanted over $550 (more than the cost of the dress) for simple hem and take the sleeveless shoulders up. Fortunately, I did not use them for alterations. Afterwards, I had heard multiple nightmare stories about their alterations. I took my dress somewhere else to be altered for $120. The woman who did the alterations mentioned to me that if they had just ordered the correct size, one size smaller, the dress would not have needed any alterations. When I go back there, the answer is simple NO!

My experience at White Swan Bridal was wonderful! The dress selection, atmosphere, and staff are amazing. This was the first shop that I went to with my family and I ended up selecting the first dress that I tried on (out of about 15). The entire staff was helpful, friendly, understanding, and extremely efficient with my alterations. I cannot say enough good things about them and definitely recommend going there for your dream dress!

Spoke with owner Anna about making a clutch purse for my daughter/upcoming wedding from my dress & noted it’s important for me to support local businesses & also cost on Etsy of $110. Took dress in & spoke with helpful person & she called Anna about price = $250. I left note saying this was high for couple hours work (I was providing all materials with my wedding dress). She called me back & was incredibly rude, disrespectful & couldn’t justify why they were more than double from excellent work by 5* Etsy POC. SO INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTING & shocked at her unprofessional behavior as a business owner.

I had the best experience with White Swan for finding my wedding gown. I had seen my dress on Instagram and called bridal shops all over to find the dress. I was ecstatic when White Swan had it! It was the first dress I tried on. The ladies who worked with me were wonderful—so friendly and helpful. The alterations were perfect and the dress was finished earlier than expected. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Beautiful dresses! Very professional help. The physical place itself is a little tricky to find, but a lot of that is because it's downtown old Vienna.

ALTERATIONS - take it some where else, don't let them do it. I didn't search for an alternative seamstress since I bought the dress here and figured it would be more convenient and trusted they knew how to alter. My final appointment to pick up my dress after the alterations ....was about an hour long. I sent the dress back MULTIPLE times (maybe 4-5?) for them to fix how the edge of the cups were sewn in. The cups were too close to the edge so it was visible. The thread work was also very messy. Each time I pointed out it was not fixed, I was given one excuse or another, eventually it ended at , "once you iron it, it will be fixed". Despite ironing, using fabric tape, body tape.....none of it helped. I also snipped the loose ends of the thread myself since they were poking out and could be seen on my chest. (At this appointment I was helped by the owner I believe... talk, dark hair, always has earbuds around her neck. The amount $$$ they charge for alterations and for such a simple ask ....this is absolutely not acceptable. Should you still want to have your alterations done with them. Be sure to ask for the TOTAL cost of alterations. After my dress arrived and I went in to try it on, I was measured and we discussed what needed to be altered. I also paid for the alterations. My third time there I decided to pull the trigger and have the waist altered since I was so close to the date. At this time, I was told I need to pay $200 plus because it wasn't included in my initial payment for alterations. WHAT ?! I was explained it was not noted on my paperwork and therefore was not charged. (So shame on me for not asking, because as a first time bride I should have known and the ladies working there had no responsibility of being transparent apparently) Yes I did mention the issue with the cups at this visit as well but they stated it was due to the straps and waist not being altered yet. Eat a burger - yes, that was told to me when I went in on two separate occasions to try my dress on. My weight was fluctuating and the dress was looser each time. This was after I stated I was not trying to lose weight on purpose and didn't know why I was fluctuating. Kanika (sp?) - The lady who works only on Fridays and Saturdays (I believe) she was the one who helped me find my YES dress and she was amazing! Attentive, insightful, and professional. Unfortunately after I said yes to the dress, my other appointments were with the others. Fingers cross my photographer will be able to edit this issue with the cups.

LOVED my experience at White Swan! Long overdue post as I got married Jan 2022, but to this day, I think about how I felt so beautiful the day of my wedding. Found my dream dress there, and the team was amazing, especially the seamstress. We had 4 months from engagement to wedding, so the dress I wanted could not ship in time. The seamstress took in the dress 10 SIZES and you couldn’t even tell- it fit so perfectly! 10/10 would recommend!

The staff at this shop are so lovely! I had a solidly mediocre David's Bridal experience and then came to White Swan with some friends. They were so positive, didn't make us feel rushed, and were mindful of my budget. I chose a floor sample since my wedding was only a few months away and they were able to make all the alterations in plenty of time. The overall price after alterations was higher than I expected, but I should have asked more questions before pulling the trigger on it. The alterations staff were super kind and knowledgeable, she made great suggestions for undergarments and other accessories that weren't directly related to the dress.

Came shopping here for a MOB dress with my mom. The consultants were very helpful and nice and we found mom a dress! I also purchased my rehearsal dinner dress and bridal headpiece here.
