This store is in desperate need of some immediate attention. This is the 3rd time I've gone and they still have no plastic bags for customers. "They didn't come on the truck". This is the only Dollar General in the area that seems to keep having this issue. The store is an absolute mess. I had to pick up a stack of household trash cans that had fallen over and was blocking an aisle so that my mom (who has a white cane she walks with because she is legally blind) could pass through the aisle without falling. Don't bother going down the clearance aisle because that is a fall hazard as well. This store is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I have frequented this store for years and watched it absolutely deteriorate and have held my tongue because I've worked retail my whole life and know staffing can affect things and retail is high turnover etc etc. , but this is unacceptable, no matter the reason. If you're short on staff to the point the store cannot be maintained properly, the store needs to close. I will not be returning to this location sadly even though I live within 5 mins of this store and will drive out of my way to go to the one on Orange Ave. At least they have bags and my legally blind mother can walk about the store without worrying about falling over merchandise.

The digital coupons have been broken at this store for about 2 months. They did have a sign but they took it down so you don't find out until you get to check out. This is deceptive business practices. I advise to not go to this store at this time.

I usually have no issues at this store. I'll shop at this store about 2-3 times a month. I usually get all my cleaning supplies there. Customer service is usually pretty good. But, my last shopping experience wasn't one of my favorites. Soooo, I was doing a quick stop for a few things and ran across a section with about 3-4 big signs reading 50% OFF. I found 3 throw blankets that I really liked and headed to check out. The cashier rang them up and they were ringing up full price. I let her know they were 50% off. She walked over to the aisle and just ripped the signs off and threw them away. Then took them off my bill without any explanation. Basically, would not give me any type explanation. She mumbled something walking away. I would've liked AT LEAST one of them at the advertised price-

Dollar General has been making changes in the locations. The stores are becoming little Walmarts and "one stop shopping," especially for people who live more remotely. This location is among one of the last places I can find groceries before arriving at my family's home. Many store have bare shelves on some of their aisles so that wasn't a problem. Several aisles were partially blocked with pallets or boxes of merchandise. I wanted to find out if an item was available but I didn't feel like waiting in line to find out. The only employee I saw was behind the register. The place was clean, just cluttered with merchandise.

My go to store for the little things I don't want to enter the grocery store for in fear that I'll over spend & walk out with 10 bags of groceries. I especially like to get my cleaning supplies here. I've even developed a small relationship with the staff. Let's face it Dollar General doesn't need reviews. Everyone loves Dollar General & everyone stops in for something or another.

Store is cluttered the aisle are crowded because their freight is just sitting on the floor spilling out of there u-boats. So very hard to get around. Half the aisles you can't even access due to this.

I was very unhappy with my last visit to the Dollar General. It was the Dollar General on Bypass Road in Vinton. When the cashier handed me my change back I drop some on the floor. The Man Behind me bent down picked up some of the change and handed it to me and I said thank you. There was also a lady in the owl who picked up a quarter and handed it to me. When I walk back by the man he told me that I had taken his money. I just laughed and said no this is my money thinking he was joking. Until he made his way around me and blocked the front door and told me I couldn't leave until I give him the money and then grab my hand tearing my money out of my hand. We then began to argue. My husband was parked right outside when he came to the door to help me and that's when he seen all the commotion. That was about the same time The man's wife was walking up from the Pizza Hut that was next to Dollar General. When he saw my husband he tried to give the money back to him. My husband told him he didn't want the money and it wasn't about the money it was about the fact that he had put his hands on me. I kept asking him if it was his money why did he pick it up off the ground and hand it to me. That's when he tried to lie and say he never picked it up or handed me anything. Evidently his wife knew the employee because she called her by name. The employee started taking their side and basically told me that it wasn't that bad that I needed to leave. I explained to her that he had assaulted me when he grabbed my hand and he actually was committing kidnapping when he blocked the door and would not let me out. She basically laughed at me and told me to leave. It was such a terrifying experience I will probably never go back to the Dollar General again even if I go shopping again.

Store is convenient and have nice folks working. The bad. I blame this on corporate owners. 1. Crew are overworked trying to ring out customers. 2.They are short staffed and cannot get new inventory off the carts and on the shelves. 3. Store is to small for all the stock they are trying to unload. People are going to stop shopping here due to product not on the shelves. Do not send anymore stock until crew can shelve what they have.. my suggestion is run an overnight stocking crew to get them caught up. Corp take care of your employees. You have a high crew turn over and that tells me the company has a problem.

I really Iike this store, it's convenient. But the main thing I went in here for, the shelf was totally empty. it just seems every time I go in these stores now they have stock parked in the aisles but no one never stocking. I even looked for the item in the stock myself to no avail ? shelves are always bare.
