Whatever you do, don't use Banfield. This is your fair warning. I wish I could leave 0 stars. This particular location is not good at all. I've only found one decent one. If your pet has any emergency they won't see you.

This Vet only cares about your pet if your pet is in their office, right in front of them. I have been trying to get a pain med (gabapentin) refilled for our dog since last week. Since the vet who saw him months ago isn't in, no other vet will sign the refill. Now we are going into another holiday long weekend and our pup will have to suffer because no one at this clinic seems to care. Awful.

I wish I could leave 0 starts. I brought my 2MONTH old kitten to Banfield for a new pet exam and for his vaccines. A few days after leaving I started to notice his mouth developing small sores which eventually got worse. I took him back to a different location where they diagnosed ringworm. (Which he had contracted at the other facility). I decided to cancel my wellness plan with them and I recently realized they have still been charging my card for the last two months for this plan that I had already cancelled. I called customer support twice and the lady who answered the phone told me to call back TOMORROW to speak with their billing department. I called again to speak with the billing department and was on hold for 50 minutes. I opted for them to call me (and trust me I was waiting on that call) I never got an actual missed call but I did receive a voicemail saying that they called me. Now I am currently back on hold to speak with someone and my estimated wait time is 103 minutes. Please take your pet to a family owned vet because all these people want is your money. Thanks :)

I was not pleased with my dogs visit today. I have never been to this location and will not be returning. I booked an appointment via the Banfield app for an 8:15am drop off appointment. At 8:14am a staff member called me and asked if I was still coming to my appointment as my appointment was at 8:00am… I advised that my appointment was for 8:15am and I was pulling into the parking lot.Shortly after we arrived and checked in, we were placed into a room and a vet tech (assuming) came into the room to begin the exam for a comprehensive check up. We discussed the pros and cons of neutering and a comment was made… “a 3 year old dog just got treated for testosterone cancer… and all for what, a few thousand dollars?” It was a very passive aggressive comment.I called the vet at 12:30pm to follow up on my dog because I wanted to pick him up on my lunch break as I work in IT and am fully remote. No one answered the phone. I called back and was cut off and placed on hold and was advised he was ready. I was then wondering how long has he been ready and why didn’t anyone call me.When I picked him up, I actually inquired about neutering after feeling ashamed that he isn’t but didn’t have a chance to speak with a doctor about it. I was given his comprehensive exam report and he was brought out to me. I had to ask/ remind the front desk tech for his medicine (the whole reason why we came) and that was it. A doctor did not come out to review his report with me nor was I asked to schedule another 6 month appointment. After coming home and reviewing his report myself, there are 3 exam findings listed that are “outside the normal range” and did not have a doctor bring it to my attention and review it with me.Therefore, I will be calling tomorrow to get some answers unfortunately. I am very displeased with this location and worried about what was going on in the back while my puppy was there for 4 hours.

Go at your own risk. We've used banfield before (not this location) and had no real issues. Made a appoint for this location & they tell us the day before our appointment that we have to drop off our new puppy for the day for her shots?!?!?! Like we don't have jobs and didn't take the day off for this!!!! First, they could've let us know when the appointment was made!! Not the day before!! Second, why would I leave a brand new puppy for an entire day just for shots? Canceled everything with them! We are going to take our fur babies to a real vet! I just think the whole thing was unprofessional. If you lack communication with your clients why would I ever trust you with my children?!

I normally do not have a problem with Banfield Haygood. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. But our dogs were there on 23 March 2023 and both of them got sick. One of them got better but the other one I had to take to another Banfield. The bill is currently up to $800 and I have not even picked her up yet. These dogs were in perfect health upon getting there and now my bulldog is sneezing blood and suffering. Sick dogs should be segregated so other pets don't suffer, and owners don't have to pay huge vet bills for no reason.

Plans are a waste of money if you can’t ever get seen when you’re pets actually need care. Friendly Staff doesn’t cut it. Their billing department is even worse. Canceled over a year ago and this month I received a collection notice for something I had canceled a year ago. I hate this place.

Fought to get an appointment and was told i would have to drop my dog off for an hour and come pick her back up because i was going to be 5 minutes late after telling them id be coming from Portsmouth and may be slightly late, after already rescheduling once.

One of the staff members was not friendly to our puppy and will be the last time we come here. We brought in our 4 1/2 month old to be checked out for an illness and when we got into the waiting room, I took him off the leash, as the door was closed. I waited about 5 min before one of the male staff members came in. Our puppy was playfully licking his legs and feet and wanted him to pet him. The staff member/nurse (not sure of his title) kept pushing him away and verbally said not to lick him a few times very rapidly. I took the hint, leashed him and brought him closer to me. Once our puppy was ready to go back, the staff member attempted to put the Banfield orange band on our puppy and the he (puppy) was once again, being super playful, licking his hands and thinking it was play time. The staff member got visibly frustrated after two lazy attempts and then snatched a green Banfield collar & leash to put on him. I really regret continuing the dog to be seen at this place and I learned my lesson. I want a place that is welcoming and friendly with pets, and not getting visibly frustrated.Pets are part of our family and to get irritated like that in this work environment is concerning and makes zero sense to me. It prompts a couple of questions...1) Why are you working here if a puppy is frustrating you?2) What is going on behind closed doors with our puppy if you act like this in front of us?10/10 would NOT recommend coming here if you value the staff to be friendly to your puppers.

I don't think they are actually trying to change this low rating. Horrible. Don't even deserve a star.Update: don't ask me now how you can help! I was on the phone with your employees trying to get my dog in after having my appointment canceled TWICE the day of and nobody seemed to care then. Don't act like you care now that I'm giving a yelp review. Actually, you can help. What's the corporate number do I can cancel this plan.
