I bought and then returned a defective/expired SC product from this store. I normally order through the SC website, but the idea of being able to purchase SC products in store was a convenient idea. That was the last time I will shop at the VB Blue Mercury store. My experience purchasing and returning was extremely uncomfortable. The ladies in this store that I encountered are enough to not want to me to shop here again. I will just continue to buy all my SC products direct from the SC website, that way I will not feel pressured or judged and I will not get products that have been sitting on the shelf for long enough to cause my vitamin c to degrade.

I was so pleased to find my high end products in a local store (La Mer)! I was so sad to be followed around by the manager. It's a shame in 2025 all this racism still exists.

The store itself is beautiful, clean, and well stocked and I always feel boujie when I decide to pick anything up from here, but the staff makes it. Ashley is a rockstar! She was so kind, and interacting with her was so refreshing compared to a lot of other cosmetic stores. She helped me pick out a few products and showed me a few new things to try- she’s extremely sweet and helpful.

Went in looking for a new SPF and moisturizer—just ran out this morning. Two sales reps on the floor couldn’t be bothered to even look my direction let alone ask me if I needed assistance. Could have dropped some money and now I will stick to online from the brands themselves.

Honestly, this may have been the place that saved my entire life. I walked in here just because who would have thought there was a makeup place in Town Center of Virginia Beach. But nevertheless, I didn't think the results would "truly" change my life. I am very much into the art of makeup, from attempting the colors of different eyeshadow palettes and colored liquid eyeliners to applying falsies and minx lashes, I pretty much do it all. But it was time for a change before I came to the store, I needed something that would take me in deeper into the world of makeup. So I decided to go into Bluemercury and went straight to the foundation section. I didn't check anything else out because I knew the foundation is where the magic would happen. So the store associate helps me with the foundation and she even tells me the price. $50 for one bottle of liquid foundation, and I was only happy to hear of something like this. Something like this to come to Virginia Beach. And the store associate even goes as far as testing the liquid concealer on my hand, and it felt so good while it was resting on my hand, it was almost a tingly feeling because I could tell the quality was absolute perfection. I was already in love with this product. And it is only so miraculous that this product was the best because I buy it and use it in bulk. So I buy it, and I take it home. And honest to say, I have happier days with this product. Sometimes I even stare at it because it's the one of the best things I ever bought. Never again will I go to a Walmart, Rite Aid, or Walgreens for liquid foundation again, where they only cost $16. This liquid concealer from Bluemercury just spreads all over my face and I even do my makeup in quicker time spans. Bluemercury, I thank you for coming to Virginia Beach and your associates are so friendly there too. I highly recommend Bluemercury for anyone!

The sale rep statement towards me today 9/16/2023 Do i enjoyed watching my friends spend money !This was an incredibly unpleasant experience, and I felt deeply humiliated. The sales representative made an offensive statement about me being a woman of color, implying that I was either broke or some form of help, while my Caucasian friends were shopping. Despite being a successful business owner, I was taken aback by her comment and have no plans to return to the store.
