Pricing of car was fine. However the 1 star is for the incompetent staff at JFK collection, they were so unprofessional it was unreal. Looked like they didn’t wanna be there. Tried charging me for extra cover, when I already had cover, he was like show me where.. er in black and white. Then tried charging $25 a day for tolls… (14 days).. no. Was gonna use limited tolls (only in Florida) where we finished the trip. Dropped off the car 14 days later in Orlando MCO, didn’t get an receipt for dropping off the vehicle, asked at the desk about the tolls, and told me to go down see the people who we dropped off with to get a receipt. She told us to go see them on desk. Absolutely thick stains. He was all about me me me.. and not listening to us. Even now, well over a month later, they’re trying to charge me for something (still no receipts or breakdown of what I’m being charged for), no emails, no contact, nothing. Never am I going with these again. Yeh it’s cheap, but so is the after care, or lack of it.

Avis/Budget needs to clean house of the horrible employees working there. Rude, lacking common courtesy, and sorry but DUMB! Plus was given car for two state over 1000 mile biz trip that had Need Oil Change light on and was told to ignore. Erika and Jason, Justin or whatever the heck his name is get ZERO stars for how they treat customers. Will never rent from any of your branches again and will tell everyone how awful your company is!

Reserved & paid for a car a few day ago. Today we get a call just before we were getting ready to head over to get the car telling us they don't have any cars. What's the point of a reservation? Now I have to scramble to make new arrangements.

My car was being repaired, needed a rental for 2 days. Called and reserved car at 8:30 AM got an email confirmation of car and total price for a 10:00 pickup. Got a ride to the facility, Was told they didn’t have the car I reserved. Erica at the desk was unapologetic and downright rude and dismissive. Sorry, we don’t have the car you reserved 1 1/2 hours ago. Asked why she didn’t call to tell me, saving me a trip, said she was going too but too busy! She said only had SUV available at a much higher price. Thankfully, my ride hadn’t left. Why can’t Budget offer an upgrade at original price when the car was not available? Horrible customer service!

I will never rent here again and will make sure that I make it known to everyone that I come in contact with since I work with the public in a tourist area to never rent here. I work in retail and deal with the public everyday and the lack of customer service here is terrible. They take peoples money, no explanation, run cards without permission and then you can’t reach anyone. I don’t know if the entire company is this way but the location at 3664 va beach blvd is terrible and Erica definitely shouldn’t be working there as we share the same name she is a disgrace to folks with that name. Lack of everything! I could go on and on but the fact of the matter is DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!

Would be nice if online rentals were not allowed if no cars available. Then don't try to rent a vehicle at higher price when I arrive. If you have a vehicle I should be given the same rate as I booked. Very unprofessional!!

I reserved a car on the website, paid, received confirmation of my reservation and called the location with a question. A very lack-luster employee tells me they have no cars available and appeared to have no cares about it. I asked him why was I allowed to reserve a car if there are none available? Guy states the website doesn't always update. I had to call a customer service number to find another location with cars. They tried to charge me more than what I already paid for the first reservation. It was a stressful call. This is my first and last time using Budget.

Erica didn’t know what she was doing , I had to ask her 2 times to call a manager … then the manager instructed her on the phone how to doThe reservation and she still couldn’t do it .I waited over 30Mins to resign paperwork for a car i already had and then because she didn’t know how to do it … the manager Jason had to come from another location just to help her .Nobody should have to ask someone to call a manager if you don’t know how to do something .She just seems to rush a lot and not pay attention .. i watched her help 2 other peopleAnd have to keep fixing things that she messed up.Jason was great !

worst rental company everBait and switchLocal office is useless.They couldn’t even provide a corporate ofc number.Horrible. Paid $650 for a rental, tried to extend a day, told me it would be $6 (six dollars) but once change was actually made, tried to charge $1900 (19-hundred) to do so.Never ever trust budget or AVIS. calls to the Better business bureau and consumer protection financial bureau have been made.

Rented a car for road trip and Budget was super accommodating. The customer service was great, the car was great, and I'd definitely use them again.

I am usually an enterprise customer but I couldnt find the car I needed on enterprise. So I decided, for the first time, to go with budget.I rented a sedan from this budget location and the experience was fine. But after about 3 weeks from returning the car with not a single scratch whatsover, I receive a claim from budget for 800$ that I had damaged the car (the entire front hull is claimed to be destroyed).How can the car have this extensive damage without me not even noticing OR not being pointed out when I returned the car? When I returned the car I had a person checking the inside and outside thoroughly. I wasnt informed of any damages until 3 weeks after I returned the car and the checkup was done at the drop off location. This should no be acceptable that this kind of damage not be pointed out at drop off since the car may have been damaged afterwards or this was a scam by Budget rent a car and Viking billing service.Be careful when renting with budget and ALWAYS take a picture of the car when u return it so you wont be a victim of this “mistake”.Update: After more than a year of this incident budget and viking billing service are still trying to rob me from my money now asking for half the amount that they claimed I owed them before. Beware when dealing with budget rent a car.
