let me preface this review by stating it has no bearing with my service experience. Darrick was top notch as always and the work done to my car was exceptional. The reason for this 1 star is because of my experience after. After picking up my car 0n 1/25 I noticed I had been overcharged. The service manager, Krystl, informed me I would be reimbursed once my funds cleared. I paid with a cashiers check so I figured it wouldn't take long. Here we are 3/19 and I have yet to be reimbursed. I've tried to contact Krystl through phone, text and email to no avail. I’ve also sent an email to General Manager Ashley Harrison to not get a response from her either. Hopefully me posting this can get a response.

Ordered parts for my broken BMW, charged/took my money but never got ordered. Told me to come back. It’s been two weeks now, excuse is they don’t know what happened. Called again and no parts. Asking money back.

Worst service department ever! If you ever need state inspections just go to Hall Toyota. We were supposed to get a call to pick up our vehicle but never received a call. And we told a service advisor that we would pick up our vehicle after the service departments hours closed too. So you’re supposed to give the keys to the sales department so you can pick it up later. Our service advisor Endya never did that. We went to the sales department and they did not even have it. So we are out of a car until Monday. We had been going here since 2006, and we usually go to the Filipino service advisor guy but today we had Endya. I was dropping off my father’s vehicle with my boyfriend because he could give me a ride back. But she kept asking him questions and info when he doesn’t even own the car. And he even clearly said it’s my girlfriend’s dad’s car. And ironically when we had went to go pick up the car in sales they said it has to be the owner of the vehicle who drops off the car. So I basically wasn’t allowed to drop off the vehicle anyways?!? Or shouldn’t the service advisor put down another persons name? I have friends that work at Toyota Hall and they said this service was absurd!

UPDATE: Components installed and all appear in working order. Still should be packaged better but updating rating based on parts condition and the fact that the business reached out in the event something had an issue.
ORIGINAL: Ordered suspension parts from them and this was how they arrived. Box smashed up, not due to mishandling, but clearly due to poor packing. zero support inside the box to either protect the parts from external forces that could be applied in a damaging way or to keep the heavy components from destroying the box. Hoping that once installed there is no sign of damage, will update stars as appropriate based on operating condition of parts.

I’ve had my fair share of buying vehicles over the years and I have to admit, my buying experience along with my experience post buying has been less than desirable. Our sales professional was the only positive part of the experience. I guess I expect more from a luxury import car dealer and brand and if a major mechanical problem were to come up not even 1 year after buying a car that I would atleast get some assistance from the dealership I bought it from. A high performance M series vehicle with 48k miles (only 14k miles driven on it by myself since owning it) with a 9,000 repair after owning it for less than a year and not even a phone call saying we’re here to help you find a solution is pretty sad. If you’re looking for a dealership to go above and beyond for you when something goes wrong because they appreciate your business this certainly is not the dealership to go to.

I would not recommend this service department at all. I see why people say go to Casey BMW in Newport News.I made an appointment several weeks ago to have a new battery placed. After waiting over an hour the advisor tells me that they are out of batteries......How? I adjusted my schedule for this appointment and wasted time out of my day I can not get back. What I came for was not done and the dealership could care less. An apology will not fix the issue!

They did a great job repairing my bumper but FAILED at basic service. Was in for annual service where oil should have been changed and now, no less than 1 week later I'm receiving notification "engine oil service required" as a pop up on user interface in car. IN addition, i had a tire replaced and the tire pressures are all over the place- new tire at 46, the others between 30-33. I didn't notice the tire pressures until i was home and then left for a week for the holidays. No response from the dealership to messages so will be going in person tomorrow. Bad attentions to detail....... Happy New Year.

On Dec 23rd I took my car to this dealership for service and i brought my own parts from autozone (brake pads and rotors) I bought the sensor from BMW. I did call in advance and ask for permission if I’m allowed to bring my own parts. Unfortunately, there was a mistake on AutoZone’s website with the VIN number and the rotors that I brought did not fit. I take full responsibility and that’s my fault. After the parts didn’t fit, I got a phone call in the middle of the day from the service advisor Jason Hill saying “your rotors don’t fit and my guy is putting your car back together and you’re gonna pay for the labor. He didn’t even offer to sell me any OEM parts nor did he bring it up. instead of making it sound like a threat that you’re putting my car back together unfixed you could’ve handled it like I was a customer and asked if I would be interested in the OEM part's. So I had to ask myself if I could purchase the parts. But the comment made directly after that was RUDE and rubbed me the wrong way .The gentleman said “THATS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRY TO SAVE MONEY ON MARKET PRICE PARTS“ …..EXCUSED ME! (phone calls are recorded)This isn’t a small time car dealership This is BMW, they Walk you down the red carpet after you buy a car and put a bow on top it’s literally a whole celebration. They usually have exceptional customer service. After this, I went up there to try to get a hold of the manager In the service department I will not say her name in this review because none of this is her fault Unfortunately, she was not there, and I had to explain it to some one that has Nothing to do with the service department ,and was told that my message would get across. I’ve proceeded to call this manager and leave messages I have got NO response back although I’ve left A brief message with my phone number for a callback. I understand the parts didn’t fit, but I felt KICKED While I was already down. Anyhow, I did not wanna leave a bad review for one person’s bad mouth, but every attempt that I’ve tried to talk to the manager has gone unheard so I’m left with this. I just want the dealership to feel like a safe space being that I’m bringing my car there

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent experience with Checker Flagg BMW. I want to emphasize that my concerns are not directed at my service advisor, Darrick Williams, who has been helpful and responsive throughout this process.
I have been waiting for my vehicle service for nearly a month, only to be informed that I need to reschedule due to the unavailability of a loaner vehicle. This situation has caused significant inconvenience, as I had arranged my schedule around this appointment.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have encountered issues with this dealership. Despite my efforts to remain patient and understanding, I feel that the level of service I have received falls short of my expectations as a customer.
I hope you will take my feedback into consideration, as I would like to see improvements in the service experience at Checker Flagg BMW. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have to consider taking my business to a dealership that prioritizes timely vehicle service.

I would give no stars if I could , I received a recall in the mail so I called and scheduled a appointment to get the recall done and I was told there was two recalls so I got both of them done . Drop my car off which was running fine and I had no issues with my car my wife drives this car everyday back and forth to work. So after dropping my car off the night before they sent me text and a video of the technician going over my car. So they recommended somethings on my car and I truly believe that because i turned down there recommendations I got the worst service I have ever had. So when my wife picked up my car she could not make it home without having to call me and pull over, I went out to her and found my car smoking very badly from the tail pipe and running rough. I limped the car home and called the dealer the next day. I was told several times if it had something to do with what they did they would fix it, I told the service writer that I know my car was not doing this better and I need it back to the condition it was when I dropped it off. So I made a appointment to get it back in. When my wife went to take it back the car would smoke really bad and barely run, so I called the dealer spoke to the service writer and again he repeated that if it was something they did they would fix it. I then informed the service writer that it would have to be towed back to them asked if they could tow it back he informed me that I would have to have it towed at my expense and they would pay me back if it was something they did. So to make a long story short their head technician found that the technician had not plugged up the valvatonic properly. And it was fixed. Got car back and it's running good now. A month goes by and I still had no reimbursement for the tow so I called up there and of course the service writer told me that he does not know why I have not gotten reimburse for the tow and after the holidays he would speak to his manager to get it straight. The whole time I was going through this, I felt like they could really careless about my car being returned to running bad and smoking. I know that when you work on a vehicle at a shop it's suppose to het test driven after its done ,there's no way the technician could have test driven my vehicle after he finished because if he did and he still parked it and said it was good to go then I really worry about what kind of technicians they have there. Are they just worried about the dollar and not about the customer? I am highly upset about this whole experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone .

Very knowledgeable and attentive staff - everyone is very friendly at this location - unfortunately I have to give checkeredflag BMW two
stars because of their lack of response and follow up, wanted to order a 2025 X6 but was told there were no allocations available - understood- but after weeks and several attempts to call / Email them without any response it just seems they were not interested in my business, at least that is my impression.

Overall experience was disappointing and service was terrible. Advisor, Will Fernandez, was reckless with report(s), exaggerated issues and lied about vehicle conditions to extend rental services. Correspondence was completely off; had to ask several times for emails and videos that I have yet to receive. It was all bad until I spoke to the mechanic directly. My account was carelessly handled and I feel like I’ve been robbed. Definitely expected more from BMW and it was quite a letdown.
Update and response to their reply:
I couldn’t choose a better word than “acknowledged”, cause concerns were addressed rather carelessly, with bias and without any true interest in meeting clients need(s). Even worse, there was nEVER a “follow up” as promised. It was clearly a ‘check off’ call made with as little compassion as possible. People, don’t be fooled by robotic post and high level pretentiousness exhibited by the unprofessional hiding behind big brands who constantly misrepresent all of what they stand for. BMW ought to be ashamed.
