I have used College Hunks many times in the past few years and they always provide excellent service. It is easy to book an appointment, they do a great job communicating throughout the process and always do the job in a professional manner. I will definitely continue to use them in the future.

Y'all were awesome! Especially Tyler who knew exactly where the feet of my sofa chair were when we thought they were lost.
They showed up at the exact quoted time, strategically planned the move, and packed everything with care. We even shared moving supplies.
They did forget to pack out 1 room (the laundry room), but in their defense it was a chaotic move. They were awesome gents to have helping me out and were so respectful.
I'll definitely hire these awesome College Hunks again if I need to move again. Shout out to Tyler for his awesome attention to detail and to the rest of the team for their dedication and care.

I recently used College Hunks to move from my apartment in Norfolk, VA to my new home in Suffolk, VA, and I’m extremely disappointed with the experience. Their motto says something like, “How can we make your move stress-free?” — but my move was anything but stress-free.
I only had a few items to move: a mattress, two dressers, two nightstands, a couch, a stereo, and a disassembled bed frame. Everything was prepped and ready to go before the movers arrived. It should have been a quick and simple job.
Instead, the move took four hours, and I was charged about $1,000 (at $199 per hour). I’ve personally moved twice as much furniture with a few friends, and it didn’t take nearly that long. The movers were slow, unmotivated, and wasted time. It took the team leader 30 minutes just to get me the correct paperwork to sign, and during that time, the rest of the crew stood around doing nothing.
Friends who stopped by even commented on how lackadaisical the movers were. They had all the proper equipment to make the job easier but still moved at a snail’s pace.
When it came time to move our large couch upstairs, they did try, but their efforts were half-hearted at best. We told them we didn’t mind if they scuffed the walls and even offered to remove the railing to help make it work. Despite that, they gave up too early after about an hour of minimal effort. During that time, the truck still wasn’t unloaded, and once they decided on their own that they were done trying with the couch, it took them another 20 minutes to unload the remaining items and stand around before finishing up.
After the move, I contacted the local manager, Dominic, and customer service multiple times. Dominic left me one voicemail, but I’ve called him back twice and reached out through customer service again — and no one has returned my calls.
Overall, this was a frustrating and stressful experience that cost far more than it should have. I ended up paying around $1,000 to move a few lightweight pieces of furniture, and I even tipped the movers — something I regret, given the poor service.
College Hunks claims to make moving stress-free, but this was easily the most stressful move I’ve ever had. I’m posting this to warn others and to hopefully get a response from someone who actually cares about customer satisfaction.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! DO NOT LET THE 4.8 STARS FOOL YOU- DO NOT USE!!! They are not professional movers, they showed up late with no equipment- no dolly's, no runners, no covers- nothing. Then they acted like it was their first time moving furniture and had no clue what to do. Then they destroyed my home, put huge gashes in my walls, tore my stairs, there was no respect for my belongings and destroyed two of bookshelves. Then when you go to file a damage claim, the company is basically unresponsive. Patricia will say she will get you an answer in a day and then 6 days later you are still trying to get an answer from her.
Again, EXTREMELY unprofessional all around. DO NOT USE!!! ZERO STARS. Save your stuff and stay away.

Got same day service to haul away some junk. Price was very reasonable. Got rid of the junk that got broken in my move. Planning on using again in the future for when I’m downsizing some. Highly recommend them.
