Had an appointment. The tech was very nice. But, he made it seem like THIS Best Buy was specialized in Apple products. Didn’t really get results as to why my USB ports weren’t performing the way they should, but I was told I should go to Apple. I was informed if I had bought the MacBook from Best Buy and if I had a warranty through Geek Squad, that Best Buy could help me better. The tech didn’t tell me anything I didn’t know. I guess Best Buy doesn’t train all Geek Squad members the same.

This review doesn't even deserve 1 star. Scheduled an apointment online with Geek Squad for this evening. Husband took laptop in that's screen popped out was not damaged, laptop was still working. When he spoke to the lady who was there tonight she claimed for 15 minutes we didn't have a Geek Squad Protection Plan, but I know for a fact we do. Even though we asked the tech NOT to close the lap top after she said wouldn't servuce the laptop not only did she close it she jammed her finger between thr screen and outside of the laptop making the issue worse. So I called the 800 number and Geek Squad confirmed I do have the protection plan, and a discount for any hardware repairs. So they told me to send my husband back. When my husband went back the same tech continued to lie to my husband that I again don't have a plan, and that now my laptop was too old for them to service yet they have serviced it in the past year including my desk top which is twice as old as my lap top. As my husband is there I am back on the phone with the 800 Geek Squad line who proceedes to tell me what I already know, that clearly.the Geek Squad tech at this location doesnt know, that yes they will in fact take in my laptop and that I would get a discounted rate for the screen repairs, if the tech didn't premanently damage it as she had thr store manager come up and tell my husband it would just be better to buy a new laptop... why when mine is working just fine. I just want to utilize the service plan discounts that come with my annual service agreement. So long story short, the onsite tech at this store has zero knowledge of the plans Best Guy Geek Squad offers, she will damage your personal items and then have the manager try and sell you something. Not once did my husband or daughter raise their voice but the tech refuse to do her job, was wreckless with the same item she claims Geek Squad wouldn't repair and then make my husband sound like the bad guy when the manager, Shimin, ran after my husband and daughter when they were leaving and "That he needs to learn to respect people and employees". Um why don't you replay your cameras and train your employees to work with good work ethics and learn how to treat your customers. For someone who has been a customer and a Geek Squad Customer for over 15 years never in my life have we ever experienced such horrible costumer service from them. Even the Geek Squad Tech on the phone was floored about the onsite team member and their actions.

Did not resolve my computer issue on a laptop I purchased from the. The technician wanted to blaming other programs as well other outside issues. Seems that if it isn't a simple problem or us not on their computer screen they will not be able to help out. I feel as if I Paid for a service and unless it is installing something their computer is very basic. Tried calling the numbers after numbers and they remoted in and still couldn't the software issues. Not at all satisfied with this paid service.

Geek Squad and Best Buy are the most unprofessional, incompetent businesses I have ever dealt with in my life!!! From being transferred to 10 different people, to being put on hold for THREE HOURS, to not being able to get a manager or corporate employee in EIGHT WEEKS is ludicrous!!! I wonder if they will decide to respond and miraculously have someone to contact once I get a LAWYER involved!!!

Bought a laptop. Salesman said everything was covered. Apparently not and of course the salesman has long left. Handled very poorly, Contracts are a rip off

Hi, I have had good experiences dealing with Best Buy for the most part. They are a little pricey for TV installations, but they makeup for it with their TV sales. The Geeks Squad does not repair bad backlights or LED strips on TVs. I do those types of repairs. I own a company called Affordable Mobile TV Repair and we routinely do those repairs , saving our customers lots of $$$! Anyway, if you have a simple type of repair, I would contact the Geeks, but definitely contact us for more involved technical repairs, and free over the phone repair estimates.

Worst experience! DO NOT HIRE THESE SCAM ARTISTS!! Paid $299.00 for the premium package that includes “hiding wires” The $299.00 includes an up charge of $100.00 to mount above a fireplace, for what, it’s the same as mounting to a regular wall! What I got was a basic tv mount, NO HIDDEN WIRES, literally they are zip tied and hanging next to the fireplace! Complete rip off!! To make matters worse, when I called to complain, they told me they would consider refunding the extra $70 I paid for the “premium” service, only to never bother to call me back. THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
