Having first tried a different Green Clean Express on my my way home from Chesapeake, I had plans to use this location on the southeast corner of Shore Drive & Pleasure House Road. Combining a new car with a neighbor's tree that hangs over my driveway & sheds some sort of goo on my vehicle created the need for regular exterior washing. So I purchased the monthly membership for the drive through only. My first experience with the Shore Drive Green Clean Express had to wait until the lengthy nor'easter passed. The day after the bad weather ended I tried the Shore Drive Green Clean Express. The location was convenient, clean & aesthetically pleasing. Personnel were friendly & helpful. It's actually fun having a ride through the cleaning & drying process. There was a plethora of vacuuming, air and drying stations lining the car wash & street side of the business. I pulled into one, not yet needing to vacuum, but to pull my outside mirrors back into place. The low cost of the monthly membership, providing unlimited washes, hopefully will solve my problem of the attack of the evil oak tree on my new vehicle. Thank you Green Clean Express for your help.

The man at the front entrance is incredibly rude, I apologize for being in the wrong lane and said it was my mistake, he continued to laugh in my face and imply that I am stupid and cannot read. Incredibly disrespectful, I will never come back based off of that one experience. Anytime I’ve come here. Everyone has been so kind, and I’ve never been told that despite the fact that one lane is designed specifically for members, I’ve always been told that someone paying for a single wash could use either lane. I’ve been coming to this location since you opened it on shore Drive and pleasure house, The memberships so I certainly spend a ton of money there and I’ve never felt it so insulted in my life by something that could’ve easily been avoided by him not speaking to people that way. I’m not sure why you would be in a customer facing job when you clearly do not like talking to people with kindness. I’m going to take my money literally anywhere else.

This location is a scam. I went through one day and a shady employee (no longer works there) signed my up for a plan and then said he cancelled it right afterward. Thought that was weird, but didn't think too much about it. Then I check my credit card statements a couple months later and it had been charging me. So I drive up there, tell them what happened, they didn't offer me a refund, but told me that it was cancelled. Check a couple months later and the charges are still happening. Completely ridiculous.

Stinky!
My car went came through the wash only marginally cleaner than it went in, not well dried, and smelling like sewage. During the wash was a smell of grey water that overwhelmed the soapy smells of the detergents, and the smell persisted outside in the vacuum area.
Worse, with a poor dry and no courtesy towels, my car now smells like sewage until next week’s wash (somewhere else).
The wheels came out dirty, and there was still leaf debris and other dirt still on the car.
The best thing I can say is that my car wasn’t damaged. With so many other options around town, will definitely put this one on the “nope” list.

The wash itself is alright, however after being convinced to become a monthly member and taking my car through the wash 3 different trim pieces were knocked off the car. After a few days of back and forth they were able to locate 2 of the 3 pieces leaving a hard to find trim piece still M.I.A. It’s now been over 30 days of constant calling and dropped promises of a search and subsequent call back. Still no follow up as promised, and still no trim piece. I have only used this car wash once for this car and never again. I was told I’d be saving money by becoming a member and ended up being out about $300 instead for a replacement piece.

I’ve liked this establishment in the past, but there was a recent incident that was especially disappointing:
When I arrived, there were no cars waiting in either lane. Knowing that attendants typically come to the window to walk through the screen, I pulled up to the closest one to be considerate—trying to save him the trouble of walking around in the sun and heat. It turned out to be the member lane, but since there were still no other vehicles in sight (and I’ve been directed to that lane before), I didn’t think it would be an issue.
Instead of simply processing my payment, the attendant refused service and insisted I back up and go to the other lane. By then, another car had pulled in behind me, so I was blocked in. I asked what he expected me to do. I just needed to swipe my card, and it would’ve taken seconds. Instead, he had the car behind me reverse, then made me back out and re-enter the other lane.
This felt completely unnecessary and unprofessional. A simple, respectful reminder like, “Next time, please use the other lane,” would’ve been more than enough. Instead, he chose to escalate a minor issue and make a statement over something that didn’t need to become a confrontation.
Unfortunately, this experience left such a negative impression that I won’t be returning.

i personally love this car wash. the staff is extremely friendly, and i even have a membership because i get my car cleaned a lot. the only issue i have is that it stinks so bad. my husband has worked at plenty of car washes to know that they aren't cleaning the drains and the floor when it's time for them to close. i wish it smelled better so i didn't have to literally turn my ac off to not smell the mold or mildew in the wash from inside of my car. i'm not sure what procedures have to be done at closing time but i'm fairly certain that not cleaning properly is a serious issue.

They will always try to get you to buy a membership but you don't have to. Basic wash is cheap and effective and you also get access to vacuums after the wash. The workers are friendly and you don't have to deal with ill tempered, pouty owners like Robb at buggy bath down the road.

On 4/15 at around 7:30 pm I used the Green Clean on Shore Drive. The following morning, I discovered numerous scratches along the entire top and down the hood of my car. Did not see them the night before because it was dusk at the time that I went to the car wash. Understandably upset, I immediately contacted Green Clean.
My initial interaction was with a young man who was helpful in guiding me through the incident report process. During this process, He revealed a crucial piece of information: he mentioned that the machine had been stopped the previous evening due to a fishhook being caught in the soft strips. He explained that this was a common occurrence due to the number of trucks with fishing poles that frequented the car wash, and that it was likely they had missed a hook, which could have caused the scratches. He also took pictures of my car while completing the incident report. However, and this is a key point, I was never shown these pictures and therefore remain uncertain as to how well they documented the extent and nature of the scratches.
Unfortunately, my claim was subsequently denied. While I understand that the claims department cited my delay in reporting the damage until the following morning as a contributing factor to the denial, I believe there are significant details that warrant further consideration.
I have been since April 15 trying to get someone in management to respond back to me. I even googled and believe I found the district managers email and emailed him and no response. Would never deal with this company again because you can’t get a hold of anybody in management. And truly believe my claim was denied when they are responsible.
Terrible customer service

Not a fan anymore.
I paused my subscription and hoped they’d bring another deal on so I kept the sticker on my windshield. I went here a couple of times over the past few months for single washes. Before they had the two kiosks that you could use Apple Pay. Then they got rid of the single washes kiosks and put in a hut for employees to stand there. I was told no Apple Pay anymore. I don’t want my card out of my sight and I rarely carry cash. They’ll embarrass you and make you reverse (and make other cars reverse behind you waiting) if you try to go to the kiosk with the tap to pay that is reserved for members only (even though the part over the top says “cash credit club”). Why they decided to put in the hut I have no idea, but it’s guaranteed I won’t return. Not like having a member lane makes anything faster at this location anyways because two cars in the single washes lane block the members lane.

This was one of the better car washes I've had in the area, and the price was right. It didn't clean everything, but my car looked so much better afterward. Plus, the car vacuums were available on either side of each parking spot, making it very convenient to get the inside of my car cleaned too.

Your vehicle will come out clean but there are a few things about this place that should be mentioned.
The employees sometimes have cars going in too close together.
As a result I have been rear ended twice while going through the car wash and another time my vehicle rear ended another car while going through.
After the third incident, the next time I went, again they were practically having cars go in bumber to bumber and I simply waited until the car in front pulled forward a bit more before I pulled in.
The attendant became visibly upset.
I rolled down my window and explained why I was waiting the extra moment only to get brushed off like I didn't know what I was talking about.
Now I just wait an extra moment no matter what the attendants think I should be doing.
I recommend if you value your vehicle, give yourself some space, play it safe and don't rely on the attendants to care if your vehicle gets hit or not.

The car wash is automated and performs like every other. Employees are pushy about their monthly subscription.

A nice automatic wash, I didn't go for their monthly unlimited wash option because I just don't need to wash my car that often but the single washes are very fairly priced anyways, and did a very good job cleaning up my car after the snow storms we had in the area. I also made use of their free vacuums which you can use after your wash. Highly recommended if you need a quick automatic car wash.
