Dr. Vu is by far the most incompetent vet my cat has ever been seen by. I took my cat in to be examined by Dr. Vu because she wasn't eating. I told him that I thought maybe there was a problem with her teeth. Instead of giving her an full exam and offering any other possible reasons for not eating or any other treatment, he just ran with what I said. He did not examine her except for breifly looking at her gums and said that he didn't see anything wrong but suggested that we do a cleaning and xrays to see if any teeth needed to be removed. I agreed at first but after coming home and looking back at the what he called an exam, I decided not to do the cleaning because I wanted her to have a complete exam. I called the office and asked if she could be examined by a different vet and I specifically requested to see the vet who specializes in cats. I was told that they do not have anyone who specializes in cats although the bio on their website for Dr. Garrett Compton states that "His professional interests incude internal medicine and particularly feline medicine." I was told that they would only give me another appointment with Dr. Vu, which I did not want. I then asked to have Dr. Vu call me and when I didn't hear back from him several days I sent another request for a call from him. I finally heard from him by text message about a week later asking what it was regarding. I did finally get a call and I told him that I took her to another clinic and she was thoroughly examined by two of their vets and neither one felt that her teeth or gums were the problem. I then requested a refund for the exam that he did not do and he insisted that he thoroughly examined her. I know that he didn't because I was there in the room with him and he did not do what the vets at the other clinic did. He didn't even take her temperature, which is standard. Since he refused to refund my money for the exam that he did not do, I have no choice but the write bad reviews and dispute the charge on my credit card.

Our first visit with our 15 year old dog. The office was super busy. We were seen in a reasonable amount of time. They took the extra time with us to learn about him and get to know him. Exam was thorough and gentle. Appropriate test were performed and medication ordered. We felt extremely comfortable with staff, they handled our old boy with love and gentleness from start to finish. So relieved that we chose them.

I don't think I need to say more than that for the first time I've ever seen in my life, my dog loves going to the vet. I can't even say the word or she runs to grab the leash

I came here for a sick cat who ended up having to be put to sleep a few days later due to suspected cancer. The staff was so sweet, understanding, and personable. It was a horrendous experience emotionally, but the staff and Dr. Compton are some of the most compassionate people I have ever met. I will forever recommend this vet!

I can just recommend this place to each and everyone 100%. Great service from the moment we made an appointment on the phone. Our cat was treated with so much love and care. They even called the next day to check up on him. They truly care about their patients and their parentsThank you so much to each and all of their amazing staff. Incredibly caring staff! When we took our foster dog here, he went STRAIGHT to their shelves and marked his territory! They didn't even bat an eye.... I guess it's a pretty frequent occurrence here and always in the same spot. So just be warned... they're all CLEARLY at war and determined to claim this place as their own. ?

I have been going to hilltop vet for close to 20 years. I just transferred to a new vet and they didn’t care one bit. It doesn’t seem they care because they are “super busy”.

I took my dog Oakley here because she had some bad swelling on her snout. They diagnosed the problem correctly the first time and took every precaution to make sure my 11 year old cattle dog would be safe for the surgery. She ended up having 9 teeth removed and the rest of her teeth look movie star clean! Very happy with this place and what I paid for their service...I was quoted much more elsewhere. Thankyou to the Dr's and techs who added some more comfortable years to my best friend.-Tom Harrell

The staff at this vet office is extremely kind, patient, and supportive. It is clear in their actions and attitudes that they care deeply about you and your pets. The technicians are dedicated and beyond helpful. The doctors are exceptionally kind, knowledgeable and clear in their communication. The staff at the front are always friendly and accommodating. Dr. Rolley specifically has been an absolute pleasure to see and I trust her immensely with my pets.

I had an emergency eye issue with my 7yr old weimaraner. They didn't have anyone that could see him til the next day, but the girl on the phone was super helpful in getting me the right info quick so I could take him somewhere else quick and get him seen asap. I'm super thankful for this. Seems like good people through my brief interaction. Thanks again!

Always great pet care and service from Hilltop Vet Clinic staff. Even in really busy times you get checked in promptly, the staff calls your pet by name. They take prelim info from you regarding your loyal companion’s visit, what questions you have for the doctor. The wait room has a section for cats. Vets here are knowledgeable.

This is the third vet I’ve tried in the area and I am happy to report this will be the one we stay with. The vet was so kind and communication with great clarity and compassion. The staff was warm and kind as well. The whole office was clean and peaceful. At the end, I was surprised to find that the bill was not even outrageous like it always has been at the vet. I’m impressed!
