Worst service I’ve ever experienced in my life, the manager is super rude, takes almost an hour just to buy a pair of $160 sneakers. I will never go back to this store

By far unprofessional store ever I’m calling to see if they could do a shoe check and the phone just keeps hanging up. Someone will pick it up and then hang up. I’m trying to spend my money with this store and they have the audacity to just pick up the phone and hang it up that is very poor Customerservice, I’ve called the store over six times now and no one has answered my call or anything some business you are

Well, I went into this store because after some online research looking for a specific shoe, this chain and specific location in Lynnhaven Mall had the size I needed. Sadly though, I was pressed for time when I needed a new pair of shoes... and if I had time to online order from another business and wait for shipping, I would have done that instead. But unfortunately, I needed something new for the next day so I had to just suck up the terrible customer service and weird/uncomfortable experience I had.I walked in within about 10 minutes after the store opened. I found the shoe I was looking for and was able to request the size I needed. I waited a while for them to come out, but it was not a huge deal since we were browsing around (first time in JD's but familiar with Finishline). The sales associate guy was really awkward. Wouldn't look me in the eye. Would only let us try on one shoe. Asked to try on both shoes but we had to swap out one shoe for the other. I assume they do this for theft prevention, but who really knows since the guy was so awkward and weird. An explanation would have been nice. Saw another customer being allowed to try on both shoes and asked about us doing the same but the guy just looked at me like I was speaking a different language. These were shoes my son needed for school since his last pair were unwearable. So trying both on is kind of important for a kid to decide and make sure they're a good fit. Then the guy kept pressuring and rushing me to make a decision if I was going to buy the shoes or not. Even knowing I was already planning to buy the shoes, it felt so uncomfortable and weird. Even another male employee noticed and smirked like he saw/felt it too, but did nothing to help. As I said, my child needed them for school and I didn't have time to order from another store online (no one else had them in stock to buy in person), so I went with it, but at this point, I would have just left if I had time to wait. It was like he was going through the motions of helping me but acting like he had better things to do and kept rushing us along. He took the 2nd shoe from me and put it into the box behind the counter and I went to queue up to purchase the shoes. There were two ladies behind the registers and they were super engaging and nice. I asked about why we couldn't try both shoes on at the same time and the lady directly helping me said they allowed it by request. I told her I requested but the guy wouldn't let us. If I can help it, I will shop elsewhere in the future. It felt like there was a lot of bias in how I was treated by the male sales associate.

I truly feel like the people that work there hate white people. Yesterday my son and i weee they only 1’s in the store with about 4 employees. I swear i could not get anyone to help me. My son tried asking an employee a question and she walked right buy him to go giggle with the other employee. When an African American customer walked in the store a couple minutes later they were greeted and served. I will never go in this store again. My son is 11 and was asking me why they wouldnt help us. I didnt have an answer. I will also tell every sneaker head i know about my experience there!

The staff really hate their jobs. Today, on a Monday around 5:30pm. Ten other customers including myself were trying to wave down the 2 front staff for shoes. They acted like they didn’t see us waiting for shoe size checks. They lacked communication and customer service. One employee took my shoes and then she started organizing the entire kids shoes rack before walkie talkie back to the guy in the back for a shoe. I was being extremely nice because I thought maybe they were having a bad day. However, as nice as I was I wasn’t even treated like a human.

This store has the rudest employees of all the stores inside Lynnhaven Mall. Customer Service is non-existent and the employees feel like they aren't there to help the customers but just there to collect a paycheck. Asked an employee for a shoe size and employee confirmed it was available and waited 30 minutes. Even after waiting 30 minutes, closing time came and store manager then asked why we were there only to tell us that they didn't have the shoe size without checking. Then the employee who had confirmed they had the size said they forgot about us and that they had one available. They were more concerned about closing the store on time and neglected the waiting customer. The worst part of this was making the customer feel like they were a nuisance. Store employees had no remorse for making customer wait, and were angry that the customer were disappointed because they were upset for waiting that long. It goes to show why the reviews are so low for this store. The so called Manager was the one more concerned about closing the store on time and treated us like we were a nuisance. Don't go shopping here, many other stores to shop at. Hopefully the executives at JDSports can see this and address this issue with customer service that seems to be a reoccuring issue at this store. Would definitely be interested in what they have to say.Update: 8/27/23. So I read the response from the owner, asking me to contact them so I can chat with them about the experience but the site they provided only leads you to the main JDSports website which doesn't even allow you to chat with a customer service representative. You can call them but then they say that they can't do anything and they dont understand why the owner provided the link to the site. Wow.

Sucks that zero stars isn’t an option.Like previous reviews, it doesn’t even matter if the shop is dead and it’s the middle of a Tuesday… no one will help you, you have to ask for help and even if someone chooses to do so they disappear and forget you ever even asked to see a shoe.I keep continuing to try and the out one is ALWAYS the same.P.S. I’m not sure if there is a manager or managers but you guys/gals really need to get your staff in order. Your store is so insanely, racially charged up it is out of line. White customers only get assistance from white employees and Black customers only get assistance from Black employees. Now you may think “stirring the pot” I have gone through this exact process for the fifth time now, after today. I went to three…. THREE workers asking to see a size in Airforce 1s, they didn’t have my size. Not one of those 3 employees told me that they just let me wander for half an hour. I go to the register ensuring I find a fourth person who hasn’t helped me… happens to be white. Pulls up my shoe on the tablet and immediately tells me they don’t have my size. Now you tell me if that’s a coincidence or not.Out of line… anyone can attack that point above, but I don’t care because it’s what happened to me and it is not cool.

Terrible customer service at checkout. Had no issues when we got in to pick out the shoes that we wanted but it took them over 20 minutes to find a shoe to check out. We stood there literally over 20 minutes and watched a very disorganized group of people working. No one said anything to us. We just stood there for over 20 minutes waiting for a shoe to check out.

They didn't have the pair of shoes in stock nor any of the sizes I needed. So they had 2 order my shoes from another store and then when my shoes were sent they sent me one of the demos????With the shoes just thrown in the box no type of paper to protect them or anything. Won't be going back to JD sports.

Beautiful store. Terrible service.I've attempted to shop here 4-5x in the last year, and the customer service is terrible every time. The store always has 5+ employees working wearing walkie-talkies who are quick to ask you if you need something, but it ALWAYS takes 15+min to get a shoe.I am not sure if it's store policy, but once you ask an associate for help, they call back for someone else to grab it as opposed to getting it themselves. Twice I've had to ask an associate to check a shoe because they forgot they were helping me.Most recently, I purchased a baseball cap, and it wasn't until I got home that I discovered they never took the security tag off of it. I live 35 min from the mall. Super inconvenient. I had to drive back to the store 10 days later. Upon arriving, I asked an associate for help. I had the hat in the original bag, with tags, and a receipt, assuming they would just go to the desk and take the tag off for me, but they told me to wait in line.Again, the store was full of associates just standing around, but only one on the register. I waited in line for 15 min!!!!! I won't shop here again.

Please change your store policy on Jordan pick ups. I hit the EA for the Jordan 5 UNC, which is one of the hottest drops of the year, but I'm out of town. My sister went to pick up the shoes, and was denied sale. She had a pic of my ID, offered to call and facetime. That's ridiculous. Hibbett, Footlocker, DTLR or anyone else does that. They don't care as long as you have ID. What happened today is very frustrating, because now I have to pay resell prices when I won the EA for retail. Change the policy. There's a plethora of ways to prove someone isn't scamming/ stealing someone's sneaker.
