BEWARE! Took wife's 2017 car (51K miles) in for state inspection and Lee told us we needed front brakes and rotors because front brake pads measures 2/32 (this is the maximum wear limit per state insp guidelines). Estimate was about $500 to change out both pads and rotors. I spoke to Lee and asked him to simply change out the pads because we refused, claiming that he didn't want to have anyone come back complaining about "squealing" brakes and that the brakes would "sing like an opera star" if we didn't change out the rotors at same time. Lee refused to only change pads and failed the inspection.I ended up taking it to Firestone for a "2nd opinion" and told them I likely needed new front pads. Front left pad is at 3/32 and right is at 4/32. It passes inspection and the mechanic told us that there was no issue with the rotors AND no requirement per state inspection to change the pads. He recommended changing them soon since they are getting worn, but at this time, no need to spend the $200 to change the pads, much less $500 for both pads and rotors. BTW...car is getting traded to dealership in 2 weeks anyway, so thanks Chimney Hill Firestone for being fantastic and honest in your inspections. As for Lee at King's Grant Exxon...shame on you for being the quintessential up-charge mechanic that not only won't do what the customer asks, but falsely failing inspections just to take advantage of customers that may not know enough to question his results/recommendations.

Daughter took her car in for a state inspection and was told her rear brakes needed replacement. She was quoted a price of $700 for the work. Called around to several other repair places and the average price was around $200. This is a sad reflection on what used to be a trusted place to have work done on our cars at a fair price.

I just had both my wife's MDX and my Toyota pickup serviced and inspected. Lee and his team did a great job. Prompt, professional and a reasonable price with a smile. Thank you Kings Grant Exxon!

My mom took her car there and was treated amazingly well. They did a great job with the car, but even more impactful was how well they took care of her. Taking COVID precautions, Lee drove my mom home in a convertible and called to schedule time to pick her back up when the car was ready. Lee really made my mom feel taken care of! Thank you!!! It's wonderful knowing my parents have this resource close to home!

Some would call a hidden gem in Kings Grant. From gas to car repairs. One of the true last full service station. For those of us who have appreciated the good old days of service stations, you'll appreciate this place. Check it out.

While I did not bring my vehicle here I had a very pleasant experience with them. I actually brought it to the dealership and when they told me what they needed to do and how much it would cost I called up other places. The gentleman at kings grant Exxon was polite, informative and kind, and I just don't see that around as much these days. So thanks guys! Next time I do need work that you provide, I know where to go.

Ive Always used this shop every year for inspection..Well this year it happened to be time for an Oil change as well..So get it done and couple days later notice oil drips in driveway..Well it rains heavily for a few days and i forget about the drips..Then a couple days mor no rain and i notice the oil stains in the driveway again..So i take the truck back and Lee is nice about it and gets the truck in..Well the mechanic not sure his name,Black gentleman with braids looks over the truck sprays some of the oil off gets in my truck backs it out gives me the thumbs up and walks away.Im like thats it,You didnt do anything..So lee gets a different guy to look older white dude. That guts says he found the leak and either the seal was crushed or missing from the oil filter housing..They fix that and Im nice about it cuz mistakes happen..Well 2 days later Now instead of black oil drips theres fresh clean oil drips in driveway..So i took car back today 8/14/20 Now they added dye to it and are saying its my valve cover..Same Black gentleman looked at it today tho so i dont trust anything he says or has done..He doesnt seem to wanna do his job,He made a simple oil change into a giant problem and Ill admit i was so mad i couldnt even find the words to say so i just Left..Im supposed to bring the car back in a couple days to check the dye i guess but i wouldnt put it past this so called mechanic to sabatoge something as to make this not his fault...
