I got a pedicure from a older lady who I wish I got the name. But she had short hair and little pearl beads to hold up her glasses. This place went above and beyond. She was WONDERFUL!! so kind, I just loved her!! From the man who greeted me to everyone! Will be returning!!

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. PLEASE DO NOT BE MISLED BY OTHER REVIEWS—I was.
I came here looking for a new salon but left incredibly disappointed. I rarely leave bad reviews, especially for busy places, but this was truly unprofessional.
Here’s what happened:
My sister and I were the only customers there. When a walk-in came in, my sister’s nail tech LEFT mid-set (after applying tips) and began working on the new customer—even though there were other techs available.
During my pedicure, another tech (Kim) came over to start my manicure—not to remove polish (which is normal), but to do the entire manicure on two stacked pillows. There was no support, and no proper cuticle care. The gel curing machine kept sliding, and when the pedicurist moved my leg, it fell over. I politely asked her to stop and continue at the table. She asked, “Do you want me to stop?” I said yes—but she kept going. My sister had to step in and repeat it. Only then did Kim finally stop—she rolled her eyes, laughed, and stared at me the rest of the time from her chair while on her phone.
My sister’s pedicure was just as frustrating. After curing the polish, Kim (again) told her it was color-changing—something never mentioned before. It wasn’t on the polish board, and she wouldn’t have chosen it if she’d known. Repainting would’ve taken forever, so she had to keep it. This same situation repeated when her tech left again and Kim tried to take over the manicure—my sister declined and asked to have the tips removed instead.
We each had three different nail techs due to them leaving us mid-service to help walk-ins (which we confirmed with staff were not appointments). Totally unprofessional.
Katie eventually took over to fix my manicure, applying five coats to cover Kim’s mess. Now my nails are thick and uneven. I left the pedicure chair with gel beads and oil all over my legs—no lotion or wipe-down. I had to wash it off myself.
When checking out, I asked if anything could be done to accommodate us, given the terrible experience. The front desk employee (male, possibly Australian) told me to wait for the manager, Katie. Instead of speaking to us privately, Katie argued with us in front of her customer.
I NEVER asked for anything to be free—I just hoped for some form of acknowledgment or solution.
Katie said, “Oh, you don’t like your nails?”—even though she herself had taken over saying, “I’ll finish because it’s clear you’re not happy.” I reminded her I had asked Kim several times to stop the manicure. Katie then blamed a “language barrier,” claiming Kim didn’t understand. That’s false. Kim clearly asked if I wanted her to stop, and I said yes. If she was confused, she could’ve asked Katie or the front desk staff (both of whom speak English). That excuse only came up after we complained.
We also brought up my sister’s color-changing polish issue. Katie claimed they had told her before application—absolutely false. My sister would have picked something else. Their solution? Just paint over it.
They eventually offered a gift card—but let me be very clear: I will never return to this establishment.
This was supposed to be a relaxing experience, and instead it was one of the most stressful nail appointments we’ve ever had. I strongly recommend avoiding this salon.
Go to Elegant Nail Spa in Red Mill instead—they’re wonderful.
Wish I had more characters to write more about this awful experience. This is just the surface but Google limited me.

Sassy Nails was the first salon I had visited when I first moved to VA Beach and has been my favorite spot since. I’m usually a bit particular with my nails and always have a design in mind, and therefore am particular about the salon I choose to trust with my nails. All of the staff here are super nice and very talented. They also look out for the health of your natural nails as well and inform you about why they may or may not do something you originally requested. Very thoughtful staff and always go above and beyond to give the BEST sets. I recommend them to everyone who compliments my nails.

I'm traveling from out of state and popped two of nails, found this nail salon and Jennifer took care of me she did a amazing job . Everyone in there was very friendly.

Jennifer took my idea & made it so much better. I’ve had a few sets done by her and every time the nail art is flawless.
Highly recommend this salon.
Highly recommend making an appointment with Jennifer if you have any cool nail art ideas.

On the website it says $25 for changing your gel color however they charged me $30 because I already had gel on my nails? Isn’t that what change means? Misleading

Fantastic! I would give 10 stars if I could. I had to wait because it was busy but it was so worth it! They are very fair, I waited in my car and walked in after the time I was instructed, and they took me immediately (I didn’t have an appointment so it was definitely fair!). The man (I forgot to ask his name) was so attentive and amazing, I will definitely be coming back :))
