I was here for a month in 2014 when I was twelve. The first night was hard due to the reason I was there which I'm not going to go into. The staff were very nice and it was a safe place to stay. They always made sure I was up in time to get on the school bus in the morning. We all had chores to tend to in the evenings after dinner which provided a sense of structure. We went on outings so we weren't cooped up on the shelter. I commented on how beautiful the neighborhood was, and one of the staff drove me around to admire the scenery. Believe it or not, I wanted to go back after I left.

This place was a great place to go to for shelter and safety. We appreciate the sense of protection and urgency for youth. Thank you for helping me.
