Southside moving is the best. This was my second move with them and once again they made this a stress free and easy process for me. Eric, Kevin, and Donte were kind, careful, and quick all at the same time. I couldn’t have asked for an easier move. I will be using Southside for my next move hands down and will highly recommend them to anyone!!

My husband and I used Southside Moving and Storage for a local move from one complex to another. Steve, Tony, and Dion were hardworking, capable, careful, and friendly. I’d definitely use them again for another move.

I couldn’t have asked for a better crew of men to help me move! They were exceptional employees. They worked very hard to protect my things and did it in great time. I wish I had their names but I couldn’t find it on my paperwork to add to this review. But you can bet if I ever move again I want to this same crew!The office employees were just as great. Kept me very informed and went out of their way to reach out to me!GREAT JOB SOUTHSIDE!

Dante and Eric were fantastic!!!! Very polite, careful, and pleasant! Hard workers! They made our move less stressful and moved us efficiently and with care of our things! We have used them before, and are more than pleased with how efficient they are! Will definitely be using them again in the future!!!

Southside Moving and Storage were great helping with my move! From getting the quote with Matt, finalizing details with Michael, and Sean and Dion busting their tails loading and unloading my stuff it was a very pleasant experience. Sean and Dion were very attentive and made sure all my stuff was placed exactly where I wanted it. I will definitely be using Southside Moving in the future!

Wow! This company was great and I would have never used them based on YELP ratings. I happened upon them rather accidentally and put down the deposit before I saw these reviews. I am glad we took a chance. They were very responsive, punctual, and took great care to wrap and move items carefully. The rate was an exceptional value. Pleasantly surprised!

Southside moving and storage did an excellent job getting my household goods moved from my POD to my Condo in downtown Norfolk. The order process was professional and straightforward. An estimate was provided up front on expected cost and amount of time to do the job. Both were right on point and there were not additional fees and the move went according to plan. The movers showed up on time and used care moving my household goods. They hustle to ensure they meet the quote estimate of time and finish the project as scheduled on time and on budget. I wish had written down the guys names, but the team leader, Anthony work with his guys to give me the best service. I wish I knew they could also support moving from the DC area to Norfolk. I would have used they for both pick up and drop off of my household goods. Strongly recommend this company.

TLDR:This company took nearly $10,000 to move my stuff, caused $5,000 in damage to my personal items or lost items, resulted in me having to pay fees to my new HOA due to them smoking inside the condo complex. Moved out of state, on the way a few boxes somehow went missing. During the unpacking process, I discovered some boxes that I had pre-packaged had been opened by their movers and had more stuff added to them. Normally this wouldn't have been an issue, but one box in particular had thousands of dollars of work attire (suits and such). They dumped heavy and sharp items in the box, and resealed it. Additionally during the move in process, they were smoking inside the building, though there were no smoking signs everywhere. Finally I had to get additional people to help them unpack as they were moving so slow, after showing up hours late.I attempted to file a claim, and their website was nonfunctional at the time. Requested a claim via e-mail, one was sent, but only with 1 day left for their acceptance deadline. When I asked for assistance to file the claim, as it was worded very poorly in some areas I was ignored. I submitted the file the best I could and it was also ignored. Any calls and emails were never responded to as well.This company took nearly $10,000 to move my stuff, caused $5,000 in damage to my personal items or lost items, resulted in me having to pay fees to my new HOA due to them smoking inside the condo complex. Stay away from these people.

I contacted Southside, moving and storage because the previous company I had booked was a new show. Southside was able to come out for me the very next day, the crew was so friendly, helpful, efficient, and thorough. They made what started as an awful moving experience pleasant instead. They disassembled whatever furniture needed to be, wrapped all of the valuables with padding, and with plastic, there was no damage, and they reassembled everything just as it had originally been. Oh, and did I mention, their prices were far less than all my sons or two men and a truck. I hope I don't have to move again soon, but if I do, I will definitely contact southside first thing.

Very bad experience with these guy. They do not care about you as a customer just whatever money they can get Couldn't believe anything that Matt said Left us hanging and they didn't care. As a vet I am ashamed of their bad attitudes and lack of professionalism

Being a business owner myself, I am very big on customer service, customer follow up and to ease a customers mind in the event that I make a mistake. That’s how you get not only repeat customers but great reviews as well. so when I am a customer i expect to be treated the same way. And in this cause the unprofessionalism of Southside Moving and Storage Southside Moving and Storage due to their lackadaisical response from their operations manager Tony Minozzi who I’ve emailed and called several times with no response, is on my radar of disgust!! Although my movers E and Jo were great (I even tipped them despite this situation) They put 3 holes in my wall which I had to quickly get repaired (at my own expense), They called the operations manager Tony to advise him of this as soon as it happened. When i did speak to him, he stated that he'd get something done due to the time frame in which it had to be repaired but i havent heard anything else from him. On top of paying this company to move my items. Granted i had to fill out a claim, but in situations like this, it shouldn’t take 30 days to get this rectified because it didn’t take 30 days my walls to get holes, nor did it take 30 days for me to pay you. Do better as a company and rectify this situation ASAP! No one should have to keep emailing you in regard to an error on your part.

So, we hired Southside Moving for 2 moves for our furniture and a few boxes. The first move from our old home to a storage unit went very well. The crew was professional and respectful of our furniture and the rental that we were moving out of. We requested the same crew on the same day as they packed our stuff in our storage unit a specific way and they knew how everything would need to be reassembled. Well, one week later a totally different crew showed up and while they were good, they did not assemble either bed correctly and did not put the legs back on my dresser. There is also damage done to both bedroom sets. While I can't say which team did the damage, both damaged parts are very noticeable. I
