Great place to gas up coming from or going to Northlanding campground. There's a building some distance behind the pumps with a circle big enough to pull around with your rig (boats, campers, goosenecks, or any towable).

Funky gas station in the middle of nowhere. It's good for a quick fuel up and that's about it. The store inside is good for a big of chips and a Twinkie... and not much else. Weird vibe here - like banjo, straight out of Deliverance kind a vibe. Add to that a few creepy dudes walking around wearing Jackets and pants on a very hot and humid day.... Ummm, yeah that's a pass. I'd say keep on down the road to another establishment.

I stopped in here early on a Saturday afternoon in Sept to get some drinks and a snack. It was so incredibly humid outside that afternoon that the perspiration was running off of you the moment you step outside. If you live here you know the kind of day I'm talking about. At the time we stopped we had just been taking pictures throughout the Creeds area and were getting ready to travel further south into Knotts Island. So this was a perfect point to stock up, grab a snack and take a break out front under one of their covered picnic tables. The gas pumps were busy as was the small yet well stocked store. Socialdistancing was being observed and I noticed all of the employees and customers had masks on. I grabbed a bottle of water and a bottle of Mt. Dew, paid, and headed out front. The shade of the picnic table umbrella was nice. I observed from there that there's also a 2nd building on the property (not counting the storage unit facility) that appears to be a beer distributor. The words "Beer Shack" appear on the side. You can't miss it if you're in the lot.All in all a nice little break. We were there maybe 25-30 minutes cooling off before hitting the road again.
