Horrible bank if you are single and get locked out of account on a Friday evening, you will have no be able to access your money until Monday! Worst bank ever nothing but inconvenience. And if you lose your card the bank will mail a new one in 7 to 10 business days. Lol what a piece Olof /&($bank!!!!!!

I just felt right at home when i walked in to this branch. Everyone was friendly and willing to assist. Just the way business should run. I'm new to this bank but I will recommend anyone to conduct business with them.

Absolutely love this bank. I am a small business owner and they make everything so easy from start to finish without high banking fees. The bankers are very knowledgeable, incredibly helpful, and friendly. Don’t bank anywhere else!

The TowneBank branch on First Colonial Road has the same excellent service as do the other branches in Virginia Beach. But the building choice doesn't fit the norm. The First Colonial corridor certainly has the business (mostly medical practices) to support a branch. And there must be a large number of individual customers in relatively close proximity. But why choose this spot? Why not Hilltop or Great Neck? The building, which houses other businesses and medical practices, sits quite a distance back from First Colonial Road and is easy to miss if you don't know exactly where you are going. The signage doesn't help a lot, considering the City of Virginia Beach's strict size requirements. And, oh what a nightmare and danger traffic on First Colonial can be. With the lack of traffic lights for many of the side streets, turning south across traffic can be hazardous to one's future existence. The traffic danger is made worse because of the narrow median. It isn't wide enough to allow one to cross traffic at a median cut and wait for an opening in the traffic coming from the north. Part of the vehicle would extend into a lane of traffic. The ATM for this branch is very strangely located, on the side of the building, directly behind the drive thru lines. You have to park beyond the drive thru's and walk through the vehicular lanes. Needless to say, I only visit this branch if I have doctor or hospital appointments. An additional reason is if I feel the urge for Schlotsky's or a trip to Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. That said, TowneBank is wonderful. It pains me to give this branch a 3. But it's all about location and convenience.
