This post office is hellish! I thought that this was normal speed for this place to go so slowly, but when I went to another post office closer to where I live, I was immediately shocked at the difference when you actually get good customer service somewhere else. These people here go as slow as molasses, and they are so rude! I can remember a time years ago when they actually had good employees who cared about getting packages out for people efficiently. But those days are long gone, apparently. Literally everybody complains when they go into this place about how bad the customer service is, and they treat people like garbage. The last time I was in there, I stood almost half an hour, and they had the line going out the door. That's how slow they are. Not only that, but there are parents with children in line, and these people have the audacity to not be helpful at all when these parents are trying to control their kids in line. I watched a poor woman having to struggle with her 5-year-old son while the staff made her package up the entire box by herself and just stood there watching her struggle. They made her get out of line just to get another box for an item that didn't need it and made her wait another half hour. And then when she got back up to the front desk, they made her package everything while trying to control her 5-year-old. Just unbelievable. Another time I went there, they made a poor elderly lady stand to the side and wait and refused to help her. People in line were offering to help her, but the staff kept telling people to ignore her. Absolutely insane customer service here. And I hear many reports that they lose people's packages. Every time I go in there, I get the same woman who complains to me and makes a big deal about lithium-ion batteries for some reason and says that she can't ship them. But always, I choose to have my packages shipped by ground, not by air, so I don't know why she makes a big deal about it. And they do it every time, even for items that don't have batteries in them. I stood in line for almost 40 minutes last time, and I didn't even know if they were going to ship my package. That's the type of customer service you're going to get here. Go to Kempsville; they're much faster, much more efficient, and they don't treat people in line like garbage. The people here have no empathy or compassion, and have no respect for anybody, and simply does not care about getting people's packages out in a timely manner.

Can you believe, someone (we all know generally who as a group) complained that the beautiful mural of the colonists/George Mason on the wall when you walk in was forced to be taken down because it was deemed too "racist". It's on George Mason drive for Pete's sake!!!! Just pathetic that we had to listen to that and then take the mural down. How much longer are we gonna bend over and take it? I can't believe they actually considered that a valid argument. Shame on them for agreeing to such disrespect.

Understaffed. No sense of urgency. No customer service. Would rate “0 stars” if Google allowed it.

I had a package scheduled to be delivered 2/21/24. The tracking showed out for delivery. Mail carrier came and went. Later in the day I checked my mail...no package. I re-checked the tracking and it said returned to sender due to incomplete address. WHAT????? I called the company I ordered from. They verified the address, it was correct....was the box too big for the mailbox and they did not want to get out of the truck? Idk... tried to call the post office about 15 times, just rings and rings and then goes to fast busy. Now I understand the low rating on here....

Large woman was rude when I came to pick up a key and a package. I had spoken to the station master on the phone, but she basically accused me of lying in front of a crowd, saying that isn't their policy. Told me to move on.

It's been a few weeks since went to apply for mailbox keys and request that my mail be held. Last week I went back up there to pick up my mail and keys. Neither was there. I have important packages and time sensitive mail that has been sitting in that box for weeks now. I wouldn't be so upset if my mail was at least being held like I requested it to be.

3 Lost packages and 1broken package over the last 2 months. USPS "insurance" is a scam. ZERO help for Priority or Ground Advantage, both of which claim to have insurance. The USPS will not accept responsibility for any of there inept procedures and will deny any wrong doing even though it is clear they are failing.

This post office is by FAR the worst post office I've ever been to. Izoraher, specifically, is the rudest customer service employee I've dealt with in a long time. If you hate your job, instead of inflicting your very clear misery upon innocent customers, just quit. It is VERY clear that she does not like working here and treats the customers as a burden. She's rude with an attitude problem, dismissive, and just flat out unhelpful. She needs to be removed from the customer service counter because giving people constant attitude when they're just trying to send their military spouse an overseas gift, isn't the way to go. Horrible customer service!!! I saw several people walk out while I was in there waiting for Izoraher's extremely unpleasant service... which I also ended up taking my package back and walking out. I'll use UPS or FedEx from now on!
Instead of wasting time going to the post office, I HIGHLY recommend doing everything online and scheduling the mail carrier to pick it up at your door. Or use UPS. Maybe when they realize their employees affect them, they will make changes.

I love this Post Office, the Staff here is wonderful always smiling and welcoming. Yes, sometimes you have to wait, but they will get to you. I have met some of the best people waiting in line. I hate that I am moving out of the area, wish me luck at my next Post Office.

Horrible customer service by an older woman who works there with Smurf blue hair. I had waited in a long line patiently and when I was finally able to receive some assistance, I was told that I had to fill out a form and that I needed 4 additional numbers to the zip code that I had already written. I was fine with that and left the line to fill out the form and to figure out what extra 4 numbers the woman was referring to. I filled out the form and called who I needed to in order to find out what 4 numbers I needed. We were both confused as the person on the phone said that this is the address that she has successfully sent items to and there were no additional 4 numbers. With this information, I once again waited patiently in line. Of course, as luck has it, I got the same rude Smurf haired woman the second time around. She told me the form was filled out incorrectly and that she still needed those 4 extra numbers. When I tried asking for clarification on how to fill out the form correctly and more information on the 4 digits, instead of assisting me, she instead rolled her eyes, gave me attitude, and essentially told me to get out of her line. I asked to speak to someone else and she responded with “what do you mean?” Well Smurf haired lady, I meant what I said. I would like to speak to someone else as you were rushing me and were not providing me with assistance that I waited patiently for twice. Also, it’s literally your job to assist people at the post office. At this point, I was trying to stay calm and thankfully another gentleman helped me. While this much kinder gentleman assisted me the blue haired lady kept interrupting our conversation and smacked her teeth when I thanked the man for his assistance. As she kept interrupting, I said “we are good” several times but she kept going with an attitude. I then said “we are done” and she responded with “don’t talk to me like that.” First of all, Smurf haired lady. I was trying to be calm and speak to the person that was assisting me when you essentially refused to. Now that someone is assisting me and being kind, all of a sudden you want to jump in? That doesn’t make sense to me. If you hate your job so much then why do it?! Nonetheless, the gentleman who helped me at the end was very kind and helpful and he’s the only reason I’m not leaving just one star. The blue haired lady however should really think about a new career, especially one that doesn’t involve customer service or people as she doesn’t seem to have any customer service skills at all.

I'm in landstown lakes and in a very tight cul de sac, mail person will pass right by the house instead of getting out the truck and delivering our mail. Most of the time the new renters will block our mailbox. Another thing what can we do about other people blocking our box.

Horrible and Lazy! The driver lost/taken to wrong address my last package, has happened at least 4 times since I’ve lived here (Jan 2023). Seller sent a second package, driver was too lazy to walk it to my door so marked it as undeliverable. Scheduled a redelivery, the driver didn’t even attempt it and is making me pick it up at the Post Office. No signature or anything required, it’s an Amazon order. These drivers are worthless!

I’ve been dropping my packages here every day for the last 3.5 years, used to be a good location but now it’s just a horrible service which ruins small businesses!!!! You drop the package, after a week tracking shows it was not scanned, or lost, I believe someone stills some boxes… that door with a ring bell is useless, drop box doesn’t work, if you see no drop cans on Saturday morning, forget about your time - they may open the counter at 11!!! USPS managers MUST check this location, this is a shame! Again, I’ve had some issues before summer 2023, but starting July this place became absolute mess, no one cares, packages are lost or no scan, laughing voices from behind the wall all the time, at least someone has fun there! Bravo!

Customer service is horrible! They provide incorrect information. Was advised it would take a month to make a mailbox key, still not sure why a mailbox key would take a month to make (terrible service). Just like everything else in America, the post office is declining, especially this location. The postmaster needs to visit these locations and conduct quality checks.
