10/10 recommend Dr. Baker and Dr. Proctor. The people here, they treat you like family. They make an effort to know who you are and your pet. We have been going here for the last 4 1/2 years and when my cat passed, the whole office signed and mailed me a card. It meant so much to me that I still have it to this day. I trust both of these doctors and have recommended them to all of our friends and family. My only regret was not finding out about them sooner! In some of these I saw people talking about " it can be a long wait" but this is due to that Dr. Baker and Dr. Proctor are two people who actually care and In my experience, that is hard to find. He takes his time with his patients and their families and won't leave you feeling unsure or have unanswered questions. Waiting till it is my turn never bothers me, because I know as soon as I walk into that room I will receive the best treatment for my pet.

All of the staff are welcoming, and friendly. Always remember our dogs name(More important than remembering ours!?) and the techs and vets are sensitive and gentle with our old pug. All around good people !

It was my first visit and everyone was so helpful and kind. The front desk staff were great, and the techs were lovely and I felt like my girl Rosemary was in the safest hands. Dr. Proctor was thorough, gentle with her, listened, and put my mind at ease (Rosie liked him and the techs too which is saying something cause she's usually skittish). Overall a wonderful first impression and we will definitely be back! Thank you :)

I have 3 toy poodles and have been seeing Dr. Baker and his staff for a long time. Dr. Baker is always smiling and patient with me and my girls. I know there are a lot of great vets out there but I trust Dr. Baker and his staff.

Dr. Baker saved my cats life. Without his care, attention to detail and thorough examination, Hamlet would have died. He was able to conclude that my cat needed a blood transfusion as soon as humanly possible. His team did everything they could to find a place close by that could provide blood, they lead us to The Cove in Suffolk and they took great care of him. Because of their quick response, he is expected to live a long, healthy life. I will be forever indebted to Dr. Baker and his team at VBVH. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I am so grateful to Dr. Baker and all team for getting ready my pet’s international health certificate on time before my flight to Turkey. All paperwork prepared in detail and my cat made it without any issue both in USA and Turkey. Thank you very much for your kindness and understanding. You all will be missed.

Normally I absolutely love this pet hospital. They saved one of my cats after the previous vet said there was nothing that could be done. However, lately, I have been disappointed in this facility. I've had several appointments canceled and the rescheduling is over a month away. I've also had a vet try to keep one of my cats on a med that costs almost $100 per month even though my cat was on it for 2 months with no results.I've noticed increased issues with the newer receptionists sounding like they don't care or even want to help. This most recent call I made the receptionist, Alondra, literally responded with an emphatic "yes" when I asked if I had to make my cat wait almost a week and a half IN PAIN because they will not give my cat the medication he needs because he wasn't getting his rabies vaccine until the day after the appointment I was wanting DESPITE him being an inside cat for HIS WHOLE LIFE and having been seen MULTIPLE times by this facility. She did not say sorry, showed absolutely no empathy or sympathy, or offer any sort of solution despite me explaining my cat is in massive pain and is loosing wait due to refusing to eat because his teeth hurt him so much.I'm not sure what I will be doing if this facility continues going to the route they are choosing to go. For their sake, I hope they take feedback and make the needed changes for the better.

Everyone was so nice to my very excited Newfoundland! He enjoyed all of the attention. The doctor was knowledgeable and knew about the breed. Everyone took time to answer questions, help Franklin get comfortable in the office and make our time pleasant and enjoyable! I’m glad we finally found the right vet for my sweet boy!

I went in today for my 8 month old cane corso “Lady “ and got some of the best service I’ve had from any vet clinic hands down. Doctor Dean and All the staff behind the desk went above and beyond with their customer service . If I could give them 10 stars instead of 5 I would :) . If your on the fence about vet care ,choose here. Thanks guys !!

The staff was amazing. So nice and friendly and answered all the questions I had. The facility was clean and well organized. Being this is my first dog, I got amazing tips and information. Even showed me care of my dog instead of just telling me and sending me on my way. First time experience was awesome. I look forward to returning for future visits.

They were able to fit me in same-day for an urgent issue with my dog.Saw a different doctor than I usually do, but he was up to speed with my dog and made some helpful suggestions. Was also very open to my request to find more natural alternatives to the medication he suggested, and answered all my questions with respect.Did an ultrasound without charging me extra for it beyond the office visit. Another vet wanted to charge $500 for one--on top of the office visit fee!

At this time, i highly recommend the Virginia Beach Veterinary Hospital as my go to for my pet, Marli Nicholi - as I have always obtained valuable insight for my pet's health and they have given me expert advice on different illnesses as eye & ear infections-as advised by Dr. Baker with his knowledge & expertise....His entirestaff is always courteous & well informed. It's a pleasure to have them for my Puppy's Health!!!

My cat and I had a great experience during our first visit to Virginia Beach Veterinary Hospital. The staff is friendly. Dr. Baker is kind and knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to help us. It is obvious that he is passionate as a veterinarian. Both my cat and I felt very welcome, and I noticed my cat felt pretty “at home” despite being at a vet which I believe is due to the positive environment.
