Be ready to have to walk to the back register regardless how disabled you are. Employees refuse to walk to the front register and will.make you stand there unless you push the button forcing them to come and turn it off

The Walgreens Pharmacy staff at 801 Independence Blvd. Virginia Beach, VA is truly fantastic!
Pharmacist: Chrystle L. (So competent, so efficient, always so pleasant and helpful!);
Pharmacy Operations Manager: Nicole M. (Always so nice and I sincerely appreciate her willingness to accommodate ordering me medications manufactured in the U.S.!)

- [ ] Carly helped me on the phone and recent visits. (Always very nice, patient and helpful)
- [ ] Jean R. (her framed photo for “Technician of the Month” seems to be a permanent display, as is her smile!)
- [ ] Alyssa A. She’s always so friendly, positive and accommodating… I was SO impressed that she was willing to order me a particular medication I needed from their supplier (manufactured in the U.S.) and called me the day it came in.
Since becoming a regular customer in 2018, I’ve always known them to be: kind, professional, accommodating and patient with all customers (not just me). They are my “go to pharmacy!” (5/5 star review!)

Fumi the pharmacist is rude and condescending. We made an appointment for vaccines and waited over 40 min and when we asked about when we would actually be seen (25 minutes after we checked in) to get our vaccines she literally said “just because you made an appointment doesn’t mean you’ll be seen at that time.” in a loud rude voice. So, walk in for vaccines because it doesn’t matter and if you raise concerns they will just be rude anyway. We will never come back.

This place is an absolute disaster. If you’re looking for a pharmacy that excels at wasting your time, screwing up your prescriptions, and offering zero accountability, congratulations—you’ve found it. Every visit is a new low: lost prescriptions, endless delays, and staff who look at you like you’re the problem for expecting basic competence. It’s honestly impressive how consistently they fail at the one thing they’re supposed to do. Trusting this pharmacy with your health is like handing your car keys to a toddler and hoping for the best. Avoid at all costs.

Came to the location to pick up a prescription but the prescription was not ready. The drive thru was busy. So I decided to stop inside to pick up a few items. Stopped by the pharmacy to ask a question about my prescription and to ask use the bathroom. Pharmacy tech informed me in a rude manner that the bathrooms were for employees only, So I said ok thanks and I walked away. Though as I was walking away I overheard both technicians laughing and snickering making comments about me and my appearance and how they weren’t going to let me use their bathroom. I really felt embarrassed and left the store. I have never experienced this kind of behavior before from a Walgreens employee. I have been to quite a few Walgreens stores in Va beach and have always been treated with great care and never been denied access to the bathroom. This visit really upset me that I feel like something needs to be addressed and I would like a follow up call to discuss this further.

6 hours later no prescription. Pharmacy check said they have it 6 hours later oh we do not have it.need to hire people who no what they are doing

I'm giving it one star because of the pharmacy. The pharmacy likes the price gauge people that pay out of pocket. If you try to use GoodRx. They like to say they put you on the goodrx plan and charge you full price. So multiple times I have to tell them that they need to type this code in and take me off of whatever plan they are on. It's ridiculous. Charging people that have limited money and no insurance to try to make a profit. I'm done with it half the time. I can't even get my medication. Other times you have to wait multiple days for them to even put it in the order for your medication. I'm so frustrated with this location. But yet you wonder why you have a two-star rating. This is ridiculous

Their system was down again and my doctors prescription never got to them. My oral surgeon was on hold for almost 10 minutes trying to get the pharmacist and he went on lunch. Worst ever and I was in terrible pain.

I went to Walgreens to pick up a prescription for my father and decided to have some pictures developed from my phone so I loaded the pictures in picked them out submitted the order then went to get the prescription received very quickly I received a call from a colleague who needed the keys to a rental unit in my hair I just figured I would get those pictures tomorrow and was heading for the door. Nice woman, sir. Excuse me, sir your pictures are ready here. I said wow that was fast. I just barely even went up to the line she said well I did them right away and they didn’t take that long, so I felt like a king that kind of service. It was really nice have used their pharmacy for years as well.

I don't know what's going on with this location but it's gone downhill the last year, I have to wait days for a monthly prescription every time, it's doesn't make sense and they shouldn't be making people fall out of routine of daily meds.
