I'm torn on how to leave a review for this location. I called earlier in the day to ask for the pharmacist to contact CVS to have a prescription that my insurance doesn't cover, and GoodRX had at low price transferred to Rite Aid. I waited on hold for 15 minutes before a pharmacist answered the phone. I couldn't understand a word she was saying and she seeming couldn't understand what I was saying. I said I needed her to contact cvs about what I said previously and told her of the location. After getting her to understand that she asked what the prescription is for, I said the name of the medicine and she had no idea what it was, I then told her it was a generic version of the named medicine. Still had no idea and asked me to spell the medicine name (the "brand name" drug is undoubtedly well known and highly used, I'm also confident the generic version is also highly used). This took forever and was very frustrating but she said they will have it transferred over. I then call later in the day to see if the medicine was ready for pick up. Another 15-20 minute hold. She told me they wouldn't fill it without doctor approval and my insurance authorization first. I tried to explain to her I would be using a code from GoodRX. She finally said okay and it would be filled. I just now called again to check and see if my prescription was ready. This time it was a very short wait and phone answered by a pharmacist that spoke clearly and pleasant. I asked about my prescription and she checked and notified me that it wasn't ready yet but they would fill it now and I would get a notified text when it was ready. So the previous pharmacist caused so much of a headache and still didn't even fill my prescription. I feel like this should be a 1 star just for the previous mentioned pharmacist, but as I said I just spoke to another pharmacist who answered call quickly and got my prescription ready. So clearly this is a one person issue, so I guess maybe a 3 star? However one thing is for certain I will NOT use this location again out of not wanting to deal with the first pharmacist.

#RiteAid Corporate; I sent a small complaint to you about our pharmacy dept not answering calls, leaving patients out in the dark. This was over a month and a half ago. I just received a call you the PHARMACIST on S. Lynnhaven, the very #RiteAid I get my prescriptions filled at, and she basically made me feel like she read me the riot act for voicing a complaint about staffing issues and how #RiteAid corporate was just in her store and said they don't care about anyone and to put patients on hold and how she works along and she's behind on work. While I feel for this #RiteAid Pharmacist, that was unprofessional. Secondly, how DARE you give out my personal contact information (even though they have it already yes) and tell her all the things I've said. She literally has my medical history, my home address and all the other information about me in her crosshairs. I now feel as though I cannot get my prescriptions filled at #RiteAid now. I feel I cannot trust this because I feel like she was pissed at me for making the complaint. If no one tells patients/customers what's going on and sees the phone ring off the hook without being answered and trying for over a week myself to call with no help from what I thought was my trusted Pharmacist, how is it MY fault I made a complaint? How am I supposed to know what's going on when I'm home, in immense pain due to a herniated disk, unable to move or leave my home. Wow #RiteAid, you really made yourself trustworthy. #walgreens forever.

Better than they used to be... they don't follow me around the store as often, the staff seems nicer and I love the fact that they now have Amazon Lockers in the back of the store (convenient for Amazon returns). lol

Krystal the manager is superb! She went out of her way to show where an item was located & also was assisting in the comparison of an item I was pondering to buy. Krystal totally went above and beyond and has remarkable managerial skills. Alex was phenomenal as he was extremely polite, jovial, and helpful. Alex definitely deserves a raise as he has outstanding customer service skills etc. Krystal and Alex are an asset to Rite-Aide and will restore your faith in the chain, if you were considering choosing another pharmacy store.
