Blackwood did a fantastic job on my kitchen and bathroom. Not only were they professional and detail-oriented, they were also prompt and efficient and finished the projects on time. Would definitely recommend, and plan on using them again myself!

Highly recommend. Superb service and outstanding customer support. The owners, Louise and Edmund, are personally involved in scoping the project, answering questions, and making recommendations. They also personally monitor and quality-check the work. For this tile project, the craftsman did a wonderful job. Perfect in every way.

Blackwood did a terrific job replacing our tired, old deck with a beautiful screened in porch. The project was completed on time and on budget; but, more importantly, the result was the product of excellent craftsmanship, good project management, and active communication with us. All questions were answered immediately, and minor adjustments were just taken in stride. The project manager was routinely on site making sure things were done correctly and the materials were delivered on time. The owner also regularly came by to both support the crew and to check in with us to make sure we were happy with the work being done.
The result is better than we had hoped. I highly recommend Blackwood Construction. They'll be my first call if I need any more projects done.

Great experience getting an egress window put in our basement. Finished product looks great, professional & courteous throughout, and cleaned up nicely once finished. Mike Heard, Greg Marato, and Nate Arrowood all were great to work with

We had such a phenomenal experience working with Blackwood on our kitchen and living room remodel! Mike, our project manager, had excellent communication skills and kept up in the loop throughout the entire process. He was always willing to stop by the house and answer any questions that we had. He also went above and beyond to help us finish our project on a tight timeline. Also, Louise and Molly were fantastic and always responsive when I had questions about design, paint color, and more. I would recommend Blackwood over and over again! Very professional every step of the way!

Blackwood Construction has been a joy to work with. Through every step of the process of building out the apartment in our basement they have were focused on what we wanted to do and presented ideas that made the vision that we had doable and within our budget.
Once construction began, our project was managed by Mike Heard. He was more of a liaison for us. He informed us which contractors and specialties were going to be at our house every day, the times and timelines for each step of the process. Mike and Blackwood took the stress off of us, which we greatly appreciated.
As the quality of work goes, it is 2nd to none. We have a beautiful apartment with all of the modern style and amenities where an unfinished basement once stood.

This is the third project Blackwood Construction has done for me. I guess since I've used them three times already I must be a very satisfied customer.
Everyone associated with Blackwood is very professional, friendly, capable and always seem to go the extra mile to make sure the customer is satisfied. From Greg to Molly, Chico, Miguel,etc they are the best.
I highly recommend them, and I don't think you will be disappointed.

Blackwood Construction does great work in house but the project manager we worked with was extremely unorganized and there were no quality controls as to overview and checking the work of their subcontractors. At a distance everything looks wonderful but the details are sloppy and in hindsight i as the customer should've reviewed the work but i trusted them to do a good job. If you work with them just be sure to keep an eye on the project day to day and communicate those flaws as they come about.

Louise came out to go over my kitchen renovation project. She had lots of great ideas and continued to help me put the right colors together over the course of the project. Next step was to pick out my cabinets, countertops, etc. I met Louise and Molly at the office and they already had some samples picked out, which were perfect. They made that part of the process a lot of fun. Then the work began. All the guys working on my kitchen were great. They were professional, friendly, hard-working and really cared about the quality of their work. The big frustration I had with the project was the number of days my kitchen didn't have any work being done on it which ultimately pushed the finish date out about 2 weeks. I get there can be some material issues, but the bulk of this down time was due to a lack of resources. There were other projects that the guys were being allocated to. When it was complete the kitchen turned out beautiful. The quality of the materials and the work was evident and I love it!

All of the team members at Blackwood took great care in ensuring our renovation met our expectations. The team was professional, courteous and friendly. The craftsmanship was excellent. The materials were all top of the line. We look forward to working with Blackwood again.

All of the associates of Blackwood with whom we had contact were professional, polite, efficient and extremely helpful. The planning, workmanship and product were all impeccable. We are very happy and proud of our new kitchen. Overall, our expectations were met and exceeded. We would recommend Blackwood to anyone who asks without reservation.

TLDR: Hire Blackwood Construction- you won’t regret it.
I don’t even know where to begin. We are so unbelievably happy with how our kitchen remodel turned out! The entire process was seamless, and communication was better than I could have asked for.
I had reached out via email for a quote and they were able to come out and give me a free quote on all my requests (plus extra ideas). Louise Field and Greg came out and measured and let me know that everything I wanted wasn’t a problem at all! I wanted the cook top moved, and a proper island installed.
I then received the quote via email with a full breakdown on costs. We then signed a contract for the agreed kitchen changes.
They were realistic as to when the project could start and let me know exactly how long it would take. They also let me know about things that could take longer that were out of their control- example, permitting.
Not only did they stick to schedule, I half way through the project added additional ideas and they were able to fit them in with ease.
Greg was absolutely fantastic to work with, and I will 100% hire Blackwood construction in the future for any other projects.
Molly, their designer, was amazing and helped us get our dream kitchen.
Each person who stepped into our house was kind, respectful, and made us feel at ease.
I honestly could not be happier. The kitchen is perfect, but also the communication between us made it the dream project.

This is the third project we had Blackwood Construction do for us and every time we interacted with anyone from the company, they were professional and did an amazing job. This project involved redoing our basement. The team took all of our ideas and brought them life. The project was completed on time and exceeded our expectations.
