I have a long and complicated story but bare with me because I think it's worth your time. I'm from DC and my car broke down yesterday in Salem, Va. I have AAA and roadside assistance, each of which gives me 100 miles of free towing. AAA said they would only tow my car to a home or repair shop to hand over the car to roadside assistance's tow truck. I did the math and initially called another repair shop in Waynesboro to ask if the exchange could happen on their property but they said they didn't want to get involved. I understand their hesitation and respect it. Then I called Jim at Ladd and explained the situation. He immediately said yes. I've never used Jim's service and I can't tell you about his skills as a mechanic. But the fact he was kind and jumped to help a complete stranger that he's never met in person tells me he has integrity. Mechanics are trained professionals but integrity isn't something you can necessarily be trained in; it's something you either have or you don't. Jim is a mechanic with integrity. I believe he will be fair and generous with his customers. If I lived in the area, you bet he'd be the only mechanic I'd go to. Thanks Jim for being a decent human being.

OK. First of all I don't know why they would put two expired products on there. I cannot believe they were expired. It just confuses me about that. It feels so weird having that happen. It makes my stomach queasy just thinking about it. Overall this needs to change.

I had to replace spark plugs and they were able to get me into the shop within 2 days and finished the job in 1.5 hrs!

A lil down home store.. friendly... but the bathrooms...is a traveler's night mare..didnt look clean was scared to wash my hands..floor was wet . No body sanitizing nothing...gas cheap.. I thought it was a car dealership... cars everywhere..traveler beware take yr own lysol and wipes.. its still Covid iut there

My boyfriend and I were traveling to Virginia from Pennsylvania for 4th of July weekend and on Friday night our car had an issue with the ball joint leaving the car un drivable. Everyone we spoke to from AAA to the tow truck driver, to our hotel front desk told us it would be impossible to find a place to get the car fixed on a Saturday, short notice on the holiday weekend and that we would have to stay in Virginia until Monday which wasn't an option because of our work schedules. We called Ladd auto at 9am on Saturday morning and they picked up right away, got the parts, and we headed over. We didn't get there until 1030 and they closed at noon and worked on our car until 130 and were so nice to us. They did a great job, were reasonably priced and we actually got to finish our road trip. They saved us and we had a great experience. Thank you!!!

Was the best gas/ convenience ever. Deli was wonderful for years and years. Some bad employees forced closing by ( rumored) theft. Now just video lottery and usual junk food. So sad. B(
