“Very kind workers at this location, and I appreciate their listed hours being accurate! I choose to come to this location even if it's a little out of my way. It's a smaller location, so getting thru an afternoon rush takes a little longer than larger offices towards the middle of town. Just keep that in mind for planning!”

“I had a great experience and this is one of my go to locations for USPS. Darryle was fantastic. He was professional, helpful, and provided great guidance on the best way to ship my package. I appreciate him taking the time to come in to explain along with his positive interaction with other customers. It was a quick and easy experience.

“Al of them were very polite and worked fast. The problem is that they don't have enough personnel attending the big lines. The person processing the passport was very diligent. The post office clerk was very fast and polite to everyone despite the big line demanding different services.”
“This review is for passport services only. I visited the Lorton post office to apply for a passport. I arrived on time for my appointment, but the photo equipment was broken (which happens), so I had to go somewhere nearby to get my photos. That did not otherwise result in any delay in my application review and the solution was easy, so I didn't deduct any stars for that. It might be a problem for those trying to apply for a passport during walk-in hours, so I'd recommend coming with photos in hand just in case.
The postal worker was professional and patient and took great care to make sure the application and supporting documents were all present and correct. The worker clearly had had a lot of experience with the passport process and knew what to do to make sure the application made it through the State Department smoothly. I wouldn't hesitate to go to this location for passport assistance again.”
“Highly recommend! Really great experience at this USPS. Friendly staff and great service. Located in a super cute area with stores and restaurants and plenty of parking.
Had to wait a bit for the family in front of me getting their passports done but I was next in line and completed it within 10 minutes during walk-in hours. Very happy I was able to do so as I needed expedited service and had gone to another USPS the same morning and had a terrible experience (opened 10 min late, super long line and agent managed to get thru only one family during the entire hour and so everyone else was SOL)”
“Had an appointment for my passport and was seen by H Tran earlier than the time. I was in and out within 15 minutes. She was nice and prompt with service. Highly recommend going online and filling out the form and getting the photo ahead and you may also need to submit documents to the State Department.”
“Every time I step into this post office I feel like I’ve been transported to a small town lifetime movie set. I don’t know how these people are so nice but it’s so refreshing!”
“Tracy is a breath of fresh air when it comes to the post office. She is nice, greets everybody, isnt condescending when you ask for help & wishes you a great day once your transaction is complete.
I personally cant stand S Glebe Road location down the road from this one because they are always rude- God forbid you ask them to lend you a pen!
This N Glebe location is a little further out for me but I’m glad I went today as Tracy was a delight.”
“Jovan at the front desk is wonderful, he helped me out a lot. And when a trash can was on fire outside, he jumped into action looking for a fire extinguisher, which that location didn’t seem to be supplied with. But I could tell if he did have one there, he would’ve saved the day. USPS better put some fire extinguishers in! Either way Jovan cares and he deserves a raise.”

“This five star is for PAUL and Paul only. I only visit when he’s working which tends to be weekdays. Paul is ridiculously efficient, kind, friendly and will have you in and out within five mins. If you happen to visit on no-Paul day.::Good luck.I’ve never encountered a more poorly run and serviced post office than this location on King Street. They NEVER have enough people staffed on weekends. My God, you are the sole post office in a very dense populated area and management can’t simply staff at least TWO attendants on weekends? It’s unfathomable and completely ridiculous. The lines are constantly wrapped around and out of the door. Please do better USPS.”
“Hard to find cause the sign is not like other offices usually have. there is no self-service machine inside. I was here once, the employee was not talkative and did not say hello or wish me a good day in return. It's quite cramped and a little bit dark inside.”
“The only post office I’ve been to where I would give it a 5+ star, for passport service. Lovely lady’s at the counter. The first hour there was one lady at the counter with 2 appointments and 3 walk ins. She handled it very well by herself.”
“I visited the Kingstowne post office yesterday, and I was overjoyed. The entire building was decorated for Christmas, which was a very surprising and delightful sigh after years of not being able to even acknowledge it.
My sales associate, Mr. Truong, has always been amazing. He has a sarcastic sense of humor I appreciate, and always try to educate you what did you do wrong ? and, that I can say whatever funny I want without him even batting an eye.
For the lady who had to deal with a rude customer, I am very sorry. I am also sorry for everyone who is lashing out at you. Remember that you never know what another human is going through, so it's important to be kind.
I did experience some negativity at this location before, but everything has improved lately, which is a great sign that things can change for the better.

“Great Post Office with friendly staff! I was helped by both people, and ended up with Drew, who was incredible! Speaking to him was like speaking to a friend. Great customer service from both! I have also been there for passport service and it was friendly and efficient.”

“The person working the desk was so cheerful and kind! This was no small feat, I am sure, since I visited near closing time on a Friday.I brought in a package to ship with duct tape on it, which she informed me was not allowed. I would have just left and come back another day, but she said someone else had left a roll of tape behind and I could use that. This is obviously not something that is always available, but I feel thankful that someone left tape behind and that she thought to offer it to me!”
“Excellent to so so service in this post office - depending on who is working. After going to this post office since 2023 I can say overall the service is mostly excellent. A few times it was disconcerting to see how dismissive, unprofessional , and cold the service was especially when it took a long time for someone to finally assist me when there were no lines, ringing the bell, and no one in the post office. I took one star off for the times that happened.”
“I live in the neighborhood and love the personal service with these ladies, they are all always very friendly. They know the people they service. I don’t have to ask for my packages, once they see me or my car they ready to give me the packages. It’s always a light pleasant experience at the end of my work day.. I appreciate them all!”
“A really pretty old building for a post office. Also this may sound stupid and obvious but I had to ship something to a buddy in Canada and apparently USPS is way cheaper for international shipping than UPS or FedEx. Use the post office folks, or you’ll be spending $75 to ship an old video game instead of $17.”
“I cannot say enough about how helpful and kind Miss Copeland at this post office was to me in my recent experience!
I was trying to do a change of address for an elderly relative from out of state and had made 3 trips to my local po re this issue with it still unresolved . ONE call to Miss Copeland and she clarified the issue, took steps to help fix the problem and made my life a whole lot easier!

“Went Friday at 3:30 p.m. It was a bit busy but the workers were doing a good and efficient job. Got my money order and was done with my transaction in 5 mins. Total time 20 mins.”
“Went on a Tuesday around 1pm. This location is quite convenient because it has a good size parking lot, unlike a lot of USPS locations in Arlington. There was a short line for the passport station and no line for the mail counters. There was only one staff member working at the mail counter and they were very friendly. I had a prepaid shipping label and I was in and out very quickly, which was quite nice especially considering how short staffed Arlington USPS is. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews.”
