“Best post office I’ve been to in the DMV! The gentlemen here are friendly, kind and helpful, finding the right size box and offering stamps because we needed them, and finding the cheapest shipping option for what we needed. In stark contrast to another post office where they are unhelpful and won’t help you find or pack boxes. Thank you for the outstanding customer service!”

“This place is awesome. Efficient little USPS mail stop right inside a liquor store! Looks like they have a nice selection of craft beer. I went there once on tax day and they were open until 8pm and hooked me up nicely. I think I'll go back some time and check out the beer and liquor offerings.”
“I had a thoroughly pleasant experience at this post office taking care of a quick shipping order during my lunch break. I was probably in and out in about 15 minutes, which was way faster than I expected even though there was only one person in front of me in line. The gentleman who assisted me was friendly and helpful. I look forward to using this post office again.”
“This review is for passport services only. I visited the Lorton post office to apply for a passport. I arrived on time for my appointment, but the photo equipment was broken (which happens), so I had to go somewhere nearby to get my photos. That did not otherwise result in any delay in my application review and the solution was easy, so I didn't deduct any stars for that. It might be a problem for those trying to apply for a passport during walk-in hours, so I'd recommend coming with photos in hand just in case.
The postal worker was professional and patient and took great care to make sure the application and supporting documents were all present and correct. The worker clearly had had a lot of experience with the passport process and knew what to do to make sure the application made it through the State Department smoothly. I wouldn't hesitate to go to this location for passport assistance again.”
“In and out fast. I was about an hour early to my appointment, I thought I'd have to go back, but I was able to do my fingerprints at that moment, and it was very fast.”

“Starting in roughly the first day of 2023 the lobby is closed when the associated retail location is closed. Access to the store to the post office that is is through the lobby. The Post Office boxes are accessible only in the lobby when it is open. This was done because homeless people were sleeping in the lobby overnight. There is no shelter for single people in the neighborhood. However there is a family shelter on the corner of Patrick Henry and Leesburg Pike”
“Al of them were very polite and worked fast. The problem is that they don't have enough personnel attending the big lines. The person processing the passport was very diligent. The post office clerk was very fast and polite to everyone despite the big line demanding different services.”
“Usually never that crowded when I come here to drop off ebay items. They always scan the items and it's easy to keep track of on tracking. Not very big inside but nice organized facility.”

“The person working the desk was so cheerful and kind! This was no small feat, I am sure, since I visited near closing time on a Friday.I brought in a package to ship with duct tape on it, which she informed me was not allowed. I would have just left and come back another day, but she said someone else had left a roll of tape behind and I could use that. This is obviously not something that is always available, but I feel thankful that someone left tape behind and that she thought to offer it to me!”
“This five star is for PAUL and Paul only. I only visit when he’s working which tends to be weekdays. Paul is ridiculously efficient, kind, friendly and will have you in and out within five mins. If you happen to visit on no-Paul day.::Good luck.I’ve never encountered a more poorly run and serviced post office than this location on King Street. They NEVER have enough people staffed on weekends. My God, you are the sole post office in a very dense populated area and management can’t simply staff at least TWO attendants on weekends? It’s unfathomable and completely ridiculous. The lines are constantly wrapped around and out of the door. Please do better USPS.”
“Wanted to give a shout out to Javonte and Viveca. Had a packaged that went international and took over several months since customs denied the shipment and had to be returned to sender. During this whole process both Javonte and Viveca reached out and assured they will keep an eye on my package and made sure it gets back to the sender. They have been very helpful and patience during the whole process. Thank you again. ??”
“The Manager Ms. Januki is very hands on and FIRST CLASS service !!! She approached all customers who were in the long line on this weekend to see if she could assist with anything. Surprisingly they have additional special service desk. She assisted me with my money order service and some other customers in very efficient manner. Within half minute she got it done! BRAVO! Thanks for making USPS great again :) ? ? ? ❤ ? ? ?”
“I visited the Kingstowne post office yesterday, and I was overjoyed. The entire building was decorated for Christmas, which was a very surprising and delightful sigh after years of not being able to even acknowledge it.
My sales associate, Mr. Truong, has always been amazing. He has a sarcastic sense of humor I appreciate, and always try to educate you what did you do wrong ? and, that I can say whatever funny I want without him even batting an eye.
For the lady who had to deal with a rude customer, I am very sorry. I am also sorry for everyone who is lashing out at you. Remember that you never know what another human is going through, so it's important to be kind.
I did experience some negativity at this location before, but everything has improved lately, which is a great sign that things can change for the better.

“This post office does allow you to hand cancel your wedding invitations or anything with a wax seal. They give you the stamp and you stamp them all and place them in a bin. Was quick and easy.”
“I had a lot of stuff to send (8 boxes total and 3 were heavy dive tanks). Elenor and Judy were fantastic and laughed and made it fun, even when the printer jammed (repeatedly). The location was so easy to get to, close parking and easy access to the counter. I drove out of my way (from Arlington), just to use this location, and I will do so again!! Great job ladies !!!”

“I had a package that was accidentally misdelivered. After visiting this office, the staff was super helpful in helping to fix the problem and resolved it within 2 days. While not ideal the package went to the wrong address to begin with, they were very communicative, friendly, and quick to solve the issue.”
“We made an appointment here for a new passport. We had all the supporting information with us and the forms filled out ahead of time and everything. We showed up 10 minutes early as they recommend. After only a few minutes, they processed everything super quickly, knew exactly what they were doing, and we got out of there before our appointment was even supposed to start!
