Had the worse experience that i have ever had here… I have known the owner since I was a child.. The cook, was rude to the cashier as well as me when I went back in to complain about my daughters service that he provided.. Poor customer

Sundays are the only day that they offer fried chicken. Advertised as Dave's Fried Chicken, I'm not quite sure who this guy is, but it's the best fried chicken, as well as the best fried chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. Looking into the kitchen, they were pan frying it in a cast iron pan which you never see these days outside of your mom's kitchen.

Absolutely LOVE this place! Super friendly and made to feel at home. My son loves the cookie he gets each visit and we devour every bit of food we get from there every time! Homemade goodness without the hassle

Great place to pick up amazing food while at The Rivah! Terrific selection of pre-made dinners, snacks, and delicious desserts, all made in-house. We came to pick up dinner during a girls weekend and the staff could not be nicer or more attentive. Highly recommend!

Fine foods, bread, frozen soup, wine, beer, high quality Italian pasta (also gluten free), Italian canned tomatoes, and a multitude of cheeses and deli meats among many other items. For those who are renting a cabin or apartment in our area of the Northern Neck of Virginia the market offers many supplies and outstanding prepared foods. Do visit if you have a chance!

A local Favorite, "River Market" or more commonly known as "Jim's" never disappoints. From the easy call ahead lunches, freshly made breads and other items of BBQ, Soups, salads, and more. But my true favorite is when I call Jim up and say, " Can you make dinner for 20?" or "I have an open house and need food." Whatever the occasion is, Jim and his team say, You got it! Lucky Local here to have River Market with great food and great service right here! Don't forget the Sundary Fried Chicken!

Stopping at The River Market was a great experience while staying at nearby The Tides Inn. It's a small market with all the frill you'd want in a small-town shop- decorations, a deli in the back, and great customer service. My wife and daughter enjoyed a box of mac and cheese that they warmed up in the microwave up front. My Philly cheesesteak was very fake looking, but tasted not bad. Before we left, a worker gave our five-year-old daughter a bag of fresh chocolate chip cookies that she loved!

Prices are a not just a little high They are down right outrageous.and some are ridiculous but the servers working behind counter are terrific and helpful. Most food is pretty good and above average but double the cost of what it should be is extremely annoying and you have to be careful with checking out prices .1 cold dry piece of Barbecue chicken for 8 dollars is a rip off. And the 35 dollar t bone or rib eye that supposed to feed 4 people is not only a joke it is a rip off they are not a restaurant . It's a store . No candle ?️ light atmosphere . A STORE get for real .

Great food, and super helpful service. Everything we tried was delicious: the Sunday fried chicken, takeout chicken salad, crab soup, etc. Returned to DC with a beautiful prime rib to cook, with instructions from owner on the best way. Fairly expensive, but top quality and worth it.
