This place was everything I hoped it would be. It’s cozy and private, you can walk to Williamsburg, but has all the amenities of a hotel. Hard to pick a favorite part, but conversing with the other guests while Alex, the owner, served delicious banana bread and explained the area was such an amazing start to the morning. Alex and Abby answered all of my questions and helped plan out my trip. I’m absolutely planning a return trip next year. Can’t thank the staff enough for an amazing getaway.

I spent a lovely evening here in April. The location was perfect and made walking to and through Colonial Williamsburg super easy. Alex works very hard to make the place feel welcoming and comfortable, and the rooms are very clean and cozy as a result, plus he makes breakfast the next morning, which was great. An ideal spot if you're visiting the area.

My now husband Aaron and I recently stayed at Cedars for our honeymoon. We are both William and Mary alumni and we love Williamsburg. We absolutely loved our stay at Cedars, and I highly recommend anyone to stay here. We orginally booked the Rebecca Rolfe room which is beautifully decorated in colonial style, and we were very happy with it. However, after talking with us and learning that we had just gotten married, one of the staff members, Alex, upgraded our room to the larger Patrick Henry room as the original couple that had booked it just happened to want to switch to a first floor room. This kind gesture from Alex just made our experience even more special, and we loved the amenities of the room such as the window seat, bathtub, and vanity. Alex made us excellent breakfast everyday, and provided great conversation and service. Also, the whole B + B is so charming with such attention to detail.

Our host, Alex, is very welcoming.
He prepared breakfast every day with a well-balanced meal and pleasing presentation. Alex joins in the conversation and enjoys his guests and their many differences. He made several suggestions about dining, events, and places of interest. We listened, and his suggestions added more to our wonderful experiences in CW.

This is a great place to stay. The rooms are cozy and the owner is friendly and very accomodating. It's a short walk to Merchant's Walk and Colonial Williamsburg. I will definitely stay here again.

Great location, comfortable bed. Basic amenities lacking. No bath mat but water sprayed outside the shower when you open the shower door to turn on the water. It was a wet hazard on the tile floor. We had to use bath towel and hand towels to mop up water, leaving us with one each to share. One water glass for two people, almost empty tissue box in allergy season. We didn’t stay for breakfast because there was no seating during their one hour breakfast time. All the tables were occupied by guests so there was no room for us even though we went down to the sunroom shortly after 8. We will not return.

Wonderful experience and beautiful living arrangements. Alex was an awesome host and kept the morning energy as rock steady as the tasty breakfast. Yum! This B&B location and overall accommodations exceeded expectations. Checked out with a warm and well rested heart. Thank you!

Definitely will be going back. They were able to accommodate us arriving after hours. Owner was very welcoming and pleasant to chat with. Breakfast was simple yet amazing and very filling. Room was nice and cozy(Patrick Henry). Bed was comfy. 9 minute walk and you are at the shops/ restaurants. Book it when you can even if it’s just to get away for an over night with your love one.

Loved the coziness and the services provided by the owner. Right across from Morton Hall, in walking distance of everything. Room was clean and quiet.

We stayed one night amd chose this due to location. It is in walking distance of Merchants Square (about ten minutes or so), which makes it great. The breakfast was wonderful but they can out of tables. The room itself was small but adequate. The biggest issue I had is that you can hear everything from the other guests. We were downstairs and constantly heard the stairs. Also, I’ve never experienced a B&B with someone having an infant and did hear the baby crying in the room nearby multiple times. Pros: location, breakfast, friendly owners. Cons: noise, size, limited outlets.

Spent our 40th anniversary in Williamsburg and stayed at the Cedars. It was absolutely wonderful. Our room, the breakfast, living room, Alex and his staff were perfect. Can't wait for our next visit.

A lovely classic building in a fantastic location of Williamsburg. The host was very friendly, knowledgeable and accomodating. Walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg and opposite William and Mary College. Breakfast was a nice hot meal and conversations with other guests was lively. Would highly recommend!
