Colonial Pines is the first apartment I’ve rented since living on my own. I’ve been here for 7+ years. It’s a great community to live in. Maintenance request get handled in a timely manner, neighbors are friendly and respectful. Glad I made the decision to live in this neighborhood. Great school zone as well

Moved in early August and everyone who works here (Casey, Almonie, all the maintenance crew) has been so kind and attentive with any issues or concerns I’ve had! I’ve lived in many places and having good management is the most important thing because I want to feel comfortable in my home and these guys make sure that happens. They really care about the property.

Colonial Pines is a nice community to live. It's close to restaurants and shopping. The management and maintenance staff are professional and friendly. They put their tenants first. My family have enjoyed living here for many years.

My first day here and so far so good. The young lady Casey in the office is fantastic.. she is so patient and personable. The complex is clean and quiet. Love it! Gave it 4 stars because im just moving here. But I'm sure the 5th star will come very soon!

I lived here for a couple years back in 2014-2015 with one of my good friends. I LOVED living here and the only reason I left is because work moved to Chesapeake. When I was there, Debbe and Almonnie were AMAZING and prompt in all communications. They were very proactive in pest control (even bed bug treatments) which is unfortunately not common in all communities. I'm not sure what the rent is like now, but for the location it was very affordable back then. The ONLY thing Ididnt like was that the units did not have laundry. I would move back here in a heartbeat!

I cannot say enough about how great the staff is, especially Temple! She was outstanding in every aspect By going while beyond our responsibilities to help me out in a time of need! It is an excellent community with an excellent staff and I highly recommend it to anyone who is searching for a new place to live!

I want to preface by saying that I never was a resident, but I applied here and the front office staff was nothing but professional and courteous. We worked directly with Sheila and she was completely welcoming and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. The place was very nice and affordable and we're a little bit bummed that we didn't get to live in Colonial Pines. The only reason we decided against it is that we found a place similarly priced that had larger units and was a lot closer to our workplaces. Otherwise, we would've absolutely moved in here.

We lived at Colonial Pines for roughly 3 years in two different apartment units. During the first few months, I didn’t have much to complain about. The repairs were minimal, my neighbors were fantastic, and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Boy, how things changed. Here's just some of what we dealt with:- Mice infestation in first apartment unit- Constant water leaks underneath the property and random shut-offs without warning, sometimes for 12+ hours (don’t drink your tap water - you’re welcome)- Dog p*** everywhere, inside and outside of the “dog park”- Scheduled tow notices slapped on one of our vehicles not once, but twice without warning. The first time was for a defective flat tire that was leaking air. The second time, my husband forgot to put on his new license plate tags. An emailed warning would have been nice.- Part of our living room wall being ripped out due to the dishwasher leaking, resulting in black mold.- Our bathroom and kitchen being ripped out and non-functional for days due to another leak under the floor (however, they did put us up in a hotel upon request).- Massive fruit fly infestation due to broken water line beneath unit (hundreds of them & lasted for a full month before they started to dissipate).- Drain fly infestation, complete with drain fly maggots coming up from around the base of our toilet and covering the bathroom floor (lasted nearly two weeks).- Ridiculously poor water pressure (have fun doing dishes)- Roaches (both wood roaches and smaller german cockroaches)- Office staff attempting to arrange preparation for repairs and maintenance for the future tenant even though we had 21 days left on our lease. Sure, that’s within their legal rights… but that doesn’t make it any less rude or intrusive. Were all of these repairs and concerns listed eventually fixed and taken care of? Yes. Did most of them take a metaphorical act of Congress to get the majority of them fixed? Also yes. With that being said, the maintenance staff that works on the grounds are great. They were always friendly, understanding, and efficient in their work. I can't say the same for all of their office staff, but they did give me my full security deposit back after I left. Maybe things would have been different if I were in a less problematic apartment unit there, I don't know. This is just my experience during the time I was there but I can't say that I would recommend for anyone to live there.
