Got nothing but attitude from the employee named Amanda with glasses because I asked her to refill a cashapp card. This is the location on 143 Merrimac Trail. I was kind to her each time as I am anywhere I go. I’m very well aware of the $1 fee as I told her the first time I came in. I told her 190$ and handed her 191$. She asked is the 1$ included..I stand there puzzled like yea. She hands me a dollar back rudely saying she said something about it and couldn’t fix it. So the amount added was 189$. I was also interested in purchasing a headset near the register but had questions of it which after her sudden attitude I lost interest. Sadly this is the closest DG to me. Hire people with better customer service not even an apology for her mistake. If someone is so disgusted by customers maybe work somewhere you don’t have to communicate with them

This is my favorite store to go to locally. The staff are very friendly and welcoming every time you enter they greet you. Leslie The store manager is always extremely helpful and will go above and beyond to make sure you get what you need.

If I was you make sure to check what food you buy in this store. Yesterday (07/13/21) i went to buy me a simple Slim Jim. When i got home and started to eat half of it i noticed a weird taste of the meat and cheese. I looked over on the wrapper it was expired!!! October 4th 2019....what?!?!? Thats almost 2 years over expired and its been on the shelf...so i went back to complain and i went over back where i got the Slim Jims and i noticed all of them in the box was expired the same day (Oct 4 19) i was outraged but the manager apologized. Rite now its wednesday (07/14/2021) i been sick since yesterdayDONT APOLOGIZE TO CUSTOMERS IF YOU HAVE LAZY EMPLOYEES THAT CANT TAKE DOWN INVENTORY THATS OVER EXPIRED.

Waited in line for 10 minutes while one person was having issues. The other dollar general employee was out having a smoke break playing on her phone while we all sat there. No one apologized or said anything. I left my merchandise on the floor and left. Sadly disappointed. Date and time 1/1/21 1:30pm. Maybe someone can use this information to properly train employees.

Usually my quick run in run out store ... Because of the virus they have a hard time keeping items in stock ... But I am certain this is happening in all stores ... Suggest calling the store to see if they have IN STOCK what it is you are going there for before you make the trip there ...
