Stayed for a family weekend trip to Busch gardens and could not have found a better location than embassy suites. It's located close enough to the park, colonial Williamsburg, and plenty of local shoppes and restaurants. The breakfast options here are great with a fresh omelette/egg station and French toast. Only complaint I had was the elevator was horrible, it was terribly slow and for some reason stopped at every floor even if no one hit the button. The parking lot was a bit tight for larger vehicles but there is plenty of spots in the back.

Nice hotel. We booked this hotel and The Pohatan at Williamsburg to secure our Diamond Status and stay locally. We were certain we would stay at the Pohawatan at Williamsburg, but after visiting the property, we knew it would be the Embassy Suites. From check-in, Embassy Suites did not disappoint. The staff appreciated our stay and being a diamond member, with a goodies bag with all my choices. This is the first complete goodie bag I can recall in all my years as a diamond. The room was clean, spacious, and in great condition, as was the bar, lobby, and dining area. The MTO breakfast was off-the-chain delicious, and all the food one could expect was hot and fresh, and customer service was the best. We live in Richmond and have never stayed at this hotel, but this is our new local staycation spot when we want to get away but not too far. Well Played, Embassy Suites of Williamsburg, you guys Nailed it. v/r, Dr. K. King

The staff was very nice, room was clean and what I expected, the breakfast is really nice with made to order omelets, and the evening reception at the bar is a nice touch. My only complaints are the internet connection is terrible. First you have to sign up for their honors program to logon, the internet is very slow and it kept dropping the connection. Also, in today's day every hotel should have smart tv's and if they don't guests should at least be able to connect their own smart tv devices to them. The tv's in this hotel are fixed and the input cannot be changed.

This ES is off the main drag, yet close to everything. It's an excellent secluded location. The hotel seemed clean and maintained, minus the still broken elevator, which made going to and from the room challenging sometimes. The breakfast is fantastic with made to order omelets, and the two beverage nightly 'reception' is a nice bonus. I had the fried chicken dinner, and it was outstanding. We will stay there again. If you're planning a Colonial Williamsburg trip, park at the Visitor's Center, which is 1.8 miles away, and take their bus in. Don't forget to take The Colonial Parkway to Yorktown, which is 14 miles away. There is a lot to see there, and do the Yorktown Sailing Charters for their 1.5 hour tour. Jamestown is 9 miles away, and there's a free ferry over the James River there. Across the river is a nice waterfront seafood restaurant, The Surry Seafood Company. If it weren't for the elevator, I'd give them a '5.'

DO NOT STAY HERE. This is probably one of the worst hotel experiences I've had in five years. We were going to a concert in Richmond but didn't want to stay there; lots more for the family to do in Williamsburg. We left SC extra early so that we could get to our hotel and check-in before backtracking to Richmond for the show - we literally passed the venue. We wanted to have an easy return from the concert that night so that the kids could get straight in bed. We moved everything into the room, took a quick break, and headed back out to the show. Everything went smoothly until we got back to the room. We were all just getting settled in bed when the HVAC kicked on. When I tell you it sounded like marbles in a dryer, I am not exaggerating. We tried to deal with it but the banging was so bad that it would wake the kids every time it kicked back on. Now, I get that stuff happens, but when I went to the front desk to ask for assistance, the response was "Well, how loud was it really.......because they're ALL loud.". So at 2:00 AM, I'm having to "tour" multiple rooms to check the HVAC. The others were struggling too but more of a squeak so we took the one on the same floor as our current room. After all of that and having to relocate everything between rooms in the middle of the night, I was also frustrated that I'd driven the extra time to be able to check in early. I asked for some sort of discount or extra points on my rewards and was told that the stay didn't qualify for rewards because I booked somewhere other than their app. Terrible upkeep, worse customer service.

This place is very convenient for Williamsburg area. There are tons of restaurants not far away. They offer a nice breakfast, and cocktail hour. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the sky lights leak and the atrium had buckets catching rain. The staff did a good job of staying on top of it.

Terrible Management/House keepingThe manager was rude but the main reason for 1star is because the rooms were dirt dirty and smelled musty. I had 1room my kids were going to sleep on the pull out couch but the sheets were dirty as well as the pull out couch and under it. I asked for a new room I looked at two more rooms that were much worst. The place is filthy, room doors are marked and smudged with fingerprints and scoff marks

Spent a night here, and it was ok. Definitely not worth the money. The room was decent, the bed was horrible, too hard and it leaned. The cleanliness left something to be desired, while walking to my room I passed a giant stain on the wall in the hallway. The only thing I will rave about is the breakfast in the morning, omelets made to order, buffet of pancakes, bacon, sausage. Yogurt, fruit, cereal.

Our first impression upon entering our room was that it smelled like a musty, old cabin that a wet dog had been in. The bathroom had mold in the shower. We had arrived around 10pm & immediately called the front desk to alert them of the issue & politely request a room change. They first insisted that maintenance come check it out, but the minute maintenance stepped in the room, they agreed it was unacceptable. We then had to call the front desk again to confirm that the room was not fit for guests & to arrange a room change. Our next room did smell better, but was very worn with the stain rubbed off the vanity, lots of scuffs & stains on the floor & carpet. Clearly this hotel is in BAD need of a deep clean and overhaul. Completely unacceptable for an Embassy Suites especially when charging $200/night in off-peak season!!

This is an older hotel. The lobby has been upgraded nicely with a bar, and food service at the bar and seating area, and room service. The breakfast is awesome. There's an indoor heated pool. But, the rooms, though clean and well maintained, are older and could use an update. The bathroom in our room was updated. One of the reasons we booked here was because there is a door between the living room and bedroom, which is the only hotel in the area to have that, not even new Embassy Suites. We always like the 2 free drinks daily at happy hour!

Very nice place. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet quite tasty. The only problems are small, maintenance and housekeeping mostly. Wallpaper peeling in bathroom (also, no working fan.) Broken electric plug plate, broken lampshade. lots of dirty hand smudges on walls and doors. But for all that a nice place. Will definitely stay there again. Lol, oh this sign in the elevator.

Staff was very nice. Excellent breakfast options. Facility needs updating. Rooms and hallways are very dated and in less than satisfactory condition. Especially for Embassy Suites. The location was a nice quiet location and felt safe.

I didn't have high expectations of this location given the previous reviews. However, I am loyal to the Hilton brand. It seems that the older hotels and the Embassy line aren't being kept up.Cons:-Called desk multiple times due to children playing tag and soccer in the hallways on multiple floors-Mildew smell of room-Overall dirty and not well-maintained hotel-Towels smelled odd and shed-Only one elevator in use for a five-story hotelPros:-Proximity to attractions-Room size with a door to separate bedroom and living room-Parking spaceNearby activities: Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf is a minute away, while Busch Gardens is fifteen.

The place is filthy, room doors are marked and smudged with fingerprints and scoff marks. The rooms were smelly and musky. I was able to switch rooms but the smell was still there. There was a lack of communication which made me miss the evening reception. The pool water was cloudy. The furniture in the lobby, restaurant, and rooms were stained. I love Hilton but I will never stay at this one again.

The evening reception was an awesome touch. Plenty of finger food and goodies were made available. The complimentary 2 drinks was great as well. This will be my go-to hotel whenever I'm in this area.
