As far as I'm concerned, this is THE geek squad. My laptop gave out on me a few weeks ago and the Newport News store told me "it was time to upgrade" and said they couldn't fix it after waiting an hour. :( Took the same laptop to this store in Williamsburg and they had it fixed in 5 minutes! They also were able to tell me what was wrong and how to fix it if it happens again (Which I've had to do a couple times lol) But that's what I call good customer service, because if i ever have any other troubles I'm driving the extra 30 minutes to go here instead.

Great tech sent out from Geek Squad through Best Buy to address warranty work on refrigerator. Knowledgeable, speedy and explained things easily to me.

Drake was awesome! Best sales person I've ever dealt with at Best Buy in 15 plus years. I find out I needed to add a unit number to shipping address of where I'm having a computer I just dropped 1300 bucks on. I call the store back to edit the address, simply add a unit number, and I get transferred to the Philippines who keep me on the for 45 mins to tell me they can't edit the address. Best buy, a billion dollar corporation with geeks who can take computers apart and put em back together, can't edit a shipping address. I think medical marijuana is affecting the globe now and not just America. How do you not have the capability of editing an address or calling the warehouse and editing it? How about calling someone...anyone? These cats couldn't even transfer me to a supervisor without giving me a list of reasons they couldn't transfer me. I'm going to cancel the extended warranty and other junk I paid extra for...and there's a 99% chance I'll never buy from best buy again. I'm surprised the store doesn't smell like a dispensary.

If I could give geek squad no stars I would. I bought my phone and paid for the geek squad protection plan. Somehow they rung it up under someone else’s name. When I need to get my device fixed I find out it’s under someone else. I called geek squad to have it corrected. I am told they fixed it. Then I go in and Best Buy says we can’t do anything. We see your name but the plan isn’t active under your name. I call geek squad back. Stay on the line forever. The foreign person tells me it should be fixed in 72 hours and I will get an email. He proceeds to tell me if I don’t get an email then call back. I am reassured by a supervisor that it will be fixed. No email. I call well after 72 hrs. Still not fixed. Not to mention one Best Buy said we didn’t make the mistake so they send me to another Best Buy 30 minutes away where I bought the phone. I’m literally on the phone with geek squad while typing this and still she isnt helping me. Everyone sounds like they are from another country and although they try to be kind, nothing is fixed. I have had it. I will never purchase geek squad protection again. I will go through someone else. Best Buy is a headache also for putting me in this situation.

Did not finish my dishwasher install, and left my sink full of wood chips. The employees went on to finish their other jobs instead of completing mine, and said they would come back in 3-7 days. Never again...

I called for a customer who came in my store with a cracked phone. He couldn't see his screen. They never answered the phone! I had to write down the directions for him to get there...hopefully he found it ok and hopefully they helped him

Knowledgeable and friendly, this is why I give it three stars. However that doesn’t do the job if they don’t show up. First of all home advisor assigned to us was a total waste of time. Scheduled two appointments for installation and both appointments times didn’t work for us. He could care less, barely responds his phone. I had to take off from my job both times, for the first appointment they showed up at 5 pm (if I knew they would have been so late could have gone to work!) second time they didn’t show up at all because guess what! Home advisor rescheduled the appointment that morning for two weeks later!!!
I’m extremely dissatisfied with the service. There was no communication to us whatsoever from Best Buy, Home Advisor, geek squad. Called myself to every department, no one knows what is going on. We spent over $10K for the equipment and they don’t even show up to bring it and install it! Ridiculous!
Lost two days of work because of unprofessional Staff working as a Home Advisor. Still waiting for a geek squad manager to call me back, won’t be surprised if no one calls.

Knowledgable and friendly. Fixed my problem quickly. Unfortunately the wait time on the phone to make a reservation to drop off and pick my equipment was one hour.

Attempted to make a call regarding their charge fee for a broken hinge on a laptop, that's all I wanted to call about and the same person I got through to kept hanging up the phone on me.

i dont recommend geek squad at all..i have bad experience with them...i was told by the agent that i dont have to pay anything to replace my phone due to charging issue but still need my bank account information just incase i fail to send back my old phone to them. I was not happy when i found out that night that they took $158 out in my bank account..called geeksquad right away and they told me thats a service fee..i ask for a refund and i send back the replaced phone back..i just called the customer service and it will take 24-48 hours for approved and up to 5 business days to show my refund in my bank account. i will never use geeksquad anymore!!!😠
