About Market House
Located in the heart of the historic area, the Market House is a seasonal outdoor store open from March through New Year's Day. It is a replica of a courthouse for civil matters. Visitors find grab-and-go souvenirs, toys, games, straw hats, t-shirts, heirloom seeds, cold water, and snacks. It offers a great atmosphere with awesome vendors and a large variety of produce, herbs, plants, and other nice things in a friendly, family atmosphere. The Colonial Williamsburg bus stops here, and it is the meeting and ending location for the official Haunted Williamsburg ghost tour. The site also features historical recreations, including hearings and demonstrations like a cannon firing and fife and drum performances.

Cute shop! The employees were really sweet to the kids who were interested in their "weird" clothes haha. Will be back!

The Market House is a replica of a courthouse for civil matters for Williamsburg. Earlier in the day, we participated in a recreation of a hearing that was actually held 300+ years ago. Late in the afternoon, we watched a demonstration of a Cannon being fired, then of a Fife and Drum performance.
