The Manor Club looks nicer in the photos than it is in reality. Check in is a pain, getting into the plantation is problematic and the staff at check in are marginally helpful. The room was OK, but the previous guest had cooked curry in the kitchenette and the smell permeated the room. There is a temperature limit in the rooms where it can't be adjusted below 68. This was a low end hotel experience masquerading as a luxury hotel.

I enjoyed my stay for the most part. This is my 3rd time, the one thing I didn't like was a drilling and banging noise that woke me from my sleep and continued for most of the day. The hotel was unable to provide me with any information as to why it was happening and they did nothing to have it stopped. There was also construction happening nearby which sometimes caused the driveway to be blocked off with zero consideration to guests exiting the hotel. Room was cleaned but there were obvious signs that it wasn't done properly.
Apart from those things mentioned I liked my stay. It was quiet on most days and most of my requests were attended to especially when I needed extra items for the kitchen. The staff for the most part was polite and patient & id go back again
Rooms: Somewhat Clean, cozy and spacious.
Nearby activities: It is in close proximity to most things.

Found a roach in my bedroom. The staff changed my room but other than that the hotel was completely indifferent leading me to conclude this was a normal occurrence. Don't stay here

I needed an escape from NYC and found this spot! Overall, I found it to be quite lovely and a perfect visit. The grounds are beautiful and the room was massive and clean. The property itself certainly feels more like a timeshare/apartment complex than a full service hotel. It IS a timeshare so I wasn’t sure what would feel different but it just was. I wish there were more dining options on the property or even a better morning coffee spot. The staff I met was lovely and responded to any inquiries very fast. The location is fairly close to the popular/tourist areas but just far enough away to not feel you are trapped. Overall, if I could get another great deal, I would certainly stay again. Next time I would make sure to be a little more prepared for certain things but very happy. The only real concern I had was noticing what certainly looked to be black mold growth in some of the air vents. I was able to wipe some away with disinfectant but they were stained and went far back. Just an FYI as I think it is important to be as transparent as possible!

Great comfortable spot to spend a few days in Williamsburg. It's about a 10 to 15 minute drive to downtown, but it is pretty and quiet out here. Prices are reasonable and rooms are marriott quality and very comfortable. Give it a try!
Rooms: Clean and comfy
Safety: Very safe area
Walkability: It is very walkable but not to attractions.

Efficiency Suite-
Pros: Nice property. Nice room. Nice staff.
Cons: Didn't realize the pool area by our building was CLOSED for the season, so we had to drive to the other pool because October evenings are very cold! We called ahead and asked this very question before our stay, and the staff told us they were open.
Hot tubs and pools were not filtered or FULL. We got back from a full day of walking and needed the hot tub, was in there 10 minutes & the maintenance person kicked us out at 10pm for weekly sanitization! What? Do that after closing that evening throughout the morning hours while guests are asleep!
Elevators in our building are greased with molasses.
You must pay for extra towels or washcloths or go wash them yourself during your vacation. Our stay was 5 days, and we were provided 4 washcloths for 2 people.

I love the location and price we paid, however, I felt like I was sleeping on a plywood mattress. I want to give this MVC a great review , I really do. The resort gym and pools are amazing. The room as HUGE!! My wife and I loved the size of the room and everything it had to offer. The mattress was HORRIBLE. The mattress is enough to make me think twice about returning.

These people put $125.00 credit card charge hold for incidentals and they say it takes 10 to 15 days to refund this it's now 10 days I haven't received a refund, in my opinion whatever this bullshit is should be illegal no refund of charges never even used just to hold should never take more than 3 days

Located within an elegant residential area with golf courses, it offers the possibility of staying in complete relaxation. We stayed for a week in a double bedroom suite with great amenities.
The property's swimming pools (both indoor and outdoor) are not very large but still comfortable.

Beautiful setting for this hotel. Very nice rooms as to be expected from a Marriott. Surrounded by trees so the rooms could lack natural light.
Overall very good experience except for the Golf which was just okay as they had sanded the greens. Be aware they charge 85$ for rental clubs. These beginners sets ( Callaway Xr) cost less than 1400$ on Amazon. If they rent them 200 times a year, with all the tourists staying at the hotel, that's a whooping 17000$ revenue per set. Maybe they try to beat the record for the best financial investment ever, or maybe they are trying to take advantage of the situation.

OKAY, I HAVE HAD IT!!!!!!!!!!
My family and I arrived at the room, and the first thing I noticed was the smell. It was clear that someone had tried to cover up a foul odor, and the cleaning job appeared very superficial. However, since we had great experiences in the past, we tried not to think too much of it. Then, I found an item left behind by a previous guest—a huge wheel of cheese in a plastic bag—which immediately made me question the overall cleanliness of the room. Still, based on our previous stays, we decided not to jump to conclusions and continued with our stay.
We went for a swim in the indoor pool, which had bugs that we had to push into the filter, and then returned to our room. After putting my daughters to sleep, I turned off the lights in the living room, only to see something hopping around. When I switched the lights back on, I was shocked to discover one of the biggest cockroaches I have ever seen in my life. I immediately went to the front desk, where they offered to move us to another room. However, considering all the cleanliness issues—the smell, the leftover items, a bug on the bath towel, and now a cockroach—we were done and wanted a refund.
The front desk informed me that the manager wasn't available, and they were the only one who could authorize a refund. That was the response I received, and despite this, we left. Later, I was sent a portfolio that documented all the charges, and there appeared to be a credit for half the amount. The front desk person said they had emailed management, who would reach out to me in the morning. When no one contacted me, I didn't think much of it at first, so I called them. Caitlin, at the front desk, answered and said the managers were in a meeting (at 9:00 am).
Since I work in corporate America, I figured they’d be done by 11:00 am, so I called again. Caitlin answered once more, stating she would retrieve the manager for me, but I was unsatisfactorily forwarded to voicemail. I left a message asking the manager to call me back. Not wanting to wait, I called back immediately and was sent straight to voicemail again. This struck me as odd, considering how many people typically staff the front desk, so I called again, and this time I was met with a dial tone. One more call, and my call was finally picked up. At this point, I started to suspect that Caitlin was deliberately ignoring me.
I contacted corporate while my wife called anonymously, and guess who answered the phone? Yes, Caitlin. A manager did call me about an hour later and assured me that everything would be resolved. However, this morning, I found a charge for the full amount. Thanks, Manager! Now, I’m escalating this to the BBB and have already had another call with corporate. I AM BEYOND ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I could give this place a 0, I would. Roaches are the rats of the bug world, and finding one in your room is absolutely disgusting, especially since they leave behind oleic acid, which has a putrid smell. Stay at your own risk.

The property and villas are beautiful, the staff are very responsive, and the area is peaceful and quiet, but there aren’t enough parking for the number of guests staying there. Each night of my recent 3-day stay, when I returned back from dinner, there were no open parking spaces anywhere near my building. I drove to another group of buildings and finally found parking in a dark corner of a remote lot very far from my building. I’m a 70-yr-old woman and found myself walking in the dark through several parking lots late at night until I reached the walkway leading to my villa building. Finding an open spot is made more difficult here because there are many “reserved” spots for van accessible handicapped vehicles, employee engineer of the month, and utility cart parking for approximately 6-7 golf carts used by staff ….all in the prime parking locations right in front of the villas entrances. Maybe some of these spots need to be released from reserve for guests to use and employees could use the remote spots. Just an observation from a valued guest uncomfortable about walking so far alone at night after searching for an open parking space.
