I have banked with Old Point National Bank since the Williamsburg branch opened. When I started my business relationship there Yowanda was a teller and now is a branch manager. I have always enjoyed the entire staff. Always professional and polite.

ATM is not design properly. You always have to open the door of your car or get out of the car.

Old Point National Bank is the worst by far, I'm constantly being locked out of my account and have to jump through hoops to get it unlocked! Transfers you to an automatic voice-mail when you get upset because they lock you out of your account. No one seems to know anything. The one in Williamsburg is a joke. I can't even post unless I give them a star which is kind of stupid. Been banking with this bank for over 11+ yrs and here lately they seem to just want the money not to help but to just take your money. My grandmother is ashamed to have ever worked for this bank. When retired associates of the bank know they are doing it's customers dirty that's saying something

Terrible online banking platform. Multiple occasions over life of the loan have I received an "Unknown Error" message in making loan payment. to point that i am sick of it and paying off loan in whole, yet getting "unknown error" for the 3rd day straight now. Can i please just pay you so i can fire you!

I have been banking at Old Point Bank both commercially and personally well over 20 years. My experience has been very positive primarily due to the service I’ve received from staff and management through the years. Rita Thomas in particular has quickly addressed issues that seemed difficult for others and is always ready to provide options and advice regarding loans and accounts. She represents the bank in a very professional manner while keeping the “Home Town” bank relationship that the national banks strive for. She is an asset for Old Point. For the first time, I tried a domestic wire transfer. Did it online. No results for two days. Called them, was on hold for 45 minutes average on two different days, sent messages through online banking... no go. Finally one agent told me "oh.. we need to verify the transaction on the phone"...they never called me...they just put my transaction on hold without any attempt to contact me either by phone, e-mail, or on their message board. Messages on their website went unanswered... Next agent said he would take care of it... nothing happened. Called back..on hold forever.. this agent tells me that there is no need for phone call...just approval online is good.. again nothing happens..I called next day before 5 pm as I needed to have the money sent urgently...this time they went back to the "need phone call" line. They could have called me on my home phone while I was waiting on my cell phone... they would not do that...I understand need for security...but this was just neglect, and ignorance... passing the buck...misinformation etc. etc. On the fourth try I lost my patience..did some begging... yelling.. finally they relented...I felt like a beggar. My bank, my money, going to someone with same last name...I was completely at their incompetent mercy... no apologies....the last agent I talked to actually yelled at me for not "trusting" her....Unbelievable.....very unique experience for me.Why do I need this bank when I could have done this easily on Western Union?

I usually don't do any unusual transactions, except deposit money, and write checks. This one time I needed to do a wire transfer urgently. What a nightmare. Did this online - instructions are not very clear....so I got an agent to guide me with it... all was done with his help and I thought I could wait for the money to go.. how wrong I was... first day went by with no transfer... they claimed that they tried to call me at home to verify the transaction....there is was no call either to my home or my cell, both of which are on my account...yet, they stuck with their story, and the transaction was cancelled by the bank. Entered the transaction again, again I was assured everything was fine...2nd day, past 4 pm, no transfer. I called and waited upwards of 45 minutes....same excuse...security, they could not reach me on phone...no record of any call or message on my phones....they simply tagged it "suspect" and shelved it. Finally... after I refused to get off the phone, they reluctantly did it... by 5 pm. If they called some other number and left messages what does that say about their security? No responsibility, just excuses, stalling, and unclear instructions...Never again......

I've been banking with Old Point for years, as has my family. They've always taken good care of us and have kept everything on the up and up. I'd highly recommend banking here.

Frustrating that they are not open on Saturdays. They are only open 9-5 when most people are at work. Hard to bank there.

OMG DO NOT choose this bank guys. From the moment we walked into the branch we were met with no welcome. It was awful from the beginning and not at all what we were expecting. We stayed a few minutes to see if anyone would help us, we looked around for someone to assist us then locked eyes with the blonde lady in the corner office. She just looked at us with no smile no hello and seemed extremely rude. She then picked up the phone as if to make or take a call instead of coming out to introduce herself. WOW! LOL. Insane. Right as we were about to leave there was another lady behind the counter with greyish hair and glasses who looked at us over the brim of her frames again with no smile and said "may I help you?" HOLY COW At that point without even having a discussion about it we both knew that we were not interested in staying any longer or doing business with this office. We couldn't believe how utterly rude this environment was, and honestly not at all what we expected. The whole reason we came to Old Point to see what they had to offer was because we met a really nice lady with long brown hair at a business event with the local Chamber, she was super nice, knowledgeable and took the time to ask questions about our business. She said she worked at the Ironbound Rd location but unfortunately we didn't see her. We were disappointed to not have received the same experience when visiting your branch office. This is a big miss Old Point National and you may want to check on that staff. They don't seem happy or want to be there. We won't be back.

I visited the Old Point National Bank Ironbound Rd Williamsburg branch was was wowed by Lydia, customer service representative. Lydia was friendly and very helpful. What a pleasure! Lydia is a great associate and asset to the bank.
