NO AC, ROACHES, AND DANKWe checked in and the first thing that we noticed was the wall of cigarette smoke that hit us. It smelt musky and very dank. We quickly dropped our stuff off and then left to go to Williamsburg. Later we got back to the room and was greeted by a large roach. we removed the comforter and a large plume of dust erupted from the bed. I also noticed that it was very hot in the room. I walked to the unit and it only had heat, not even an option for AC. It was set to eighty degrees! We tried to make the best of the situation but decided not to stay when my husband found a pile of cigarette ash in the bathroom. That was proof that they did not even try to wipe surfaces down. We fled to the Hilton down the street. We go to Williamsburg often and have stayed at fancy hotels, mid tier hotels, and we wanted something low key this time and with in walking distance, DON'T GO HERE.When we checked out I told the front desk girl what was in our room and she did not even seem surprised, did not offer to clean it or give us another room (not that we would have stayed) She said that she could not refund us since we booked in advance- Honestly, I did not even argue, I just wanted her to take the key so that we could leave and go somewhere else.

Clean motel in a good location, you can walk to colonial Williamsburg from here in less than 10 minutes. The rooms are a bit dated but clean. For the price it's totally acceptable. My biggest complaint is probably the breakfast, which is very bare-bones. There's only oatmeal, cereal, and mini donuts (no toast, bagles, yogurt, juice, etc that you'd typically expect).Nearby activities: Walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg.

I have no clue how this place got decent reviews. I realize it's not going to be fancy and the price is low, but I stayed at a Comfort Inn the next night for $5 more and it was amazing compared to here. There was stains on the headboard of the bed and on the couch, most of the lightbulbs didn't work or were missing, and when I went to the front desk to ask if I could get some lightbulbs, the girl said they didn't have any! Chairs were ripped. And the room was soooo hot so I tried to turn on the AC, which wouldn't work, so I called the front desk and she says, "Oh we don't have AC on in October." But it was so hot, but you could only turn on heat. And for the breakfast, well there's a coffee machine and some cereal even though the picture shows a nice display of food. The location is great and it's a shame that they don't do some easy fixes to make it a really nice place.

It's an old motel, and it shows. But it was clean, modern bathroom, strong AC, microwave, mini fridge... great value for the price. Free breakfast was very minimal, but no surprise as there's a big pancake house in the parking lot. I'll definitely stay again.Noteworthy details: Very close to the historic area, easily walkable.

NO HOT BREAKFAST. They just have cereal, fruit, oatmeal, and sad donuts. I was promised my beloved waffle machine or pancakes, and saw other reviews about scrambled eggs, but alas, my picture shows all.Rooms were fine. Nothing great. Our bed had a big indentation though. Bathroom fan didn't work. It was clean though.

The “historic” just means never been remodeled or doing any maintenance. Owners should be ashamed for never putting a dollar back into the place. The shower head was maybe 5 ft tall. There was prolly an inch deep of dust in the light/exhaust in bathroom. The air conditioning unit front piece was just laying on the ground. Chair was disintegrating. Stains all across ceiling and desk.

The front desk service is friendly; the room looked okay. But it’s infested with BEDBUGS!!! Even worse, the bedbugs traveled with me to my home. I had to seek medical treatment and schedule appointments with professional pest control. Trust me you don’t want to go through that. I’m preparing to take a legal action with the company.

Great affordable motel. For the price, I was pleasantly surprised. Clean rooms, good service. It's not a luxury hotel but if your looking for a decent budget motel that's nice. This was it for me.

I swear on a stack of bibles I do not work for this facility, we just took a chance and got an outstanding surprise.Amazing. Best value in history for the price. $47 a night. Nice comfy beds, good AC and moderately updated rooms with nice bedding, very clean and late 20th century bathroom fixtures.Yes, it is not the most modern property with all the fru-fru, but it is loaded with colonial charm and better than many more modern chains with their flashy but shallow amenities.Pool is large and clean, and front desk is super friendly and attentive. We did have an issue with a slow draining tub, but within minutes, maintenence quietly and unobtrousivley fixed the problem.Management is spot on, location could not be better, (2 minute walk to Colonial WIllimasburg, 6 minute drive to Bush Gardens, 8 mins to Water Country) and even though there are a few "weekly residents", they are all friendly when paths cross, and keep to themselves otherwise. We could not feel safer as it is clear the management does not abide with any shenanigans, just offer longer term people needing affordable accomidations for more thanjust a few days a pace to stay.We are already planning an extended family vacation the the area and we WILL book this property for it due to the outstanding value and location.Highly pleased with our choice and as long as the current owner/mamagers are here, we will return.

Prefect for what we needed. Kinda worried about what we'd get because the rate was so low. But the sheets were pristine, the bathroom was super clean, and the GM was so friendly and helpful! There was a pool and breakfast was served each morning. Breakfast was mini pastries, cereal, or oatmeal and there was a coffee machine, juice machine, ice and water. The Colonial Pancake House is right next door and hotel guests get 10% off, there are coupons at the front desk. There is also a cooler by the front desk where you can buy bottled drinks. The GM made sure we had a great stay. He was amazing and always stopped to speak to us anytime he saw us. Each room has a little bench outside so guests can sit out and enjoy the weather. And our room even had a mini fridge and microwave. We will definitely stay here if we're ever in the area again.

I am leaving the worst review possible due to a staying here for the last 4 days upon check in the room was very clean if not dated which was fine but 3 of the lamps did not work and also the refrigerator had been unplugged so there was a big wet spot on carpet from draining right in front of The door. We did not complain about any of this there was no room service so we kept the room clean by ourselves we even reused our same towels To save on laundry. Upon checking out I was charged $150 and when I called to inquire they informed me that we stole 2 of their pillows. First of all I would never steal anything we travel constantly and I have never run into any type of problem like this second these pillows were not worth even $20 so charging me $150 is absolutely ridiculous... I asked if they had cameras so they could see that we never took anything out of the room and was told no. I'm furious about this, it is absolutely ridiculous! I plan on pursuing this until I receive my money back.. We are a family traveling with my young son and left this room in great condition and treated everything there like I was at home. I would warn anyone against staying here if this is the way they treat customers and to check your bill very carefully in case you are accused of something like this as well! I am hoping the manager will reach out and correct this! Otherwise I definitely plan on reviewing this on every site I can also contacting better business bureau and hotels.com which I Booked through so hopefully this never happens to anyone else! A very offended, unsatisfied customer... Oh and upon further investigation it looks like we're getting charged $73 for a roll away cot which we never use there's 3 of us me my husband and my son and we have 2 Queen beds in our room???!

We arrived around 4pm and checked into the last room on the end next to the road. it was 90 degrees and the air had not been turned on. so we put it on high and walked across the road for dinner because the room was unbearable. Around 8pm it was still miserably hot so we called to get a fan to help and the GM that brought it man-sprained to us how to get it cooler. Meanwhile everything he said was already done: curtains closed, ac on high, bathroom door closed (so it was scorching in there), was not going in or out, etc. the fan blowing right on is got it to below 80. I decided to go get a shower in a disgustingly dirty bathroom where the shower was filthy and full of other people's hair. I'm pretty sure it had not been cleaned after the last stay. I turned on the tub to rinse out the hair only to find that water came out of every knob and that it did not drain. I desperately needed a shower so I pre-soaped my washcloth and put on shower shoes. I jumped in knowing I didn't have long before it filled up over my feet. I found quickly that the shower knob did not shut off the faucet water completely so it filled quickly AND the backed up water was bringing up hair and dirt from the drain into the tub. I finished in less than 3 minutes and jumped out only. to not be able to get dry because it was so hot and humid in the bathroom. The phone was not hooked up to call the front desk, we had to use our own phones. there were also several bugs on the floor. We did NOT find bed bugs thankfully. We slept one night sweating with no blankets and a fan directly on us. The next morning we went and asked for a refund for the next night and to checkout. They did end up refunding both nights after much discussion. I do not recommend staying here in the least bit. It was the cheapest room we could find on a weekend but was still $140 a night. spend the extra $20-30 and go to a nicer hotel.

Overall the hotel is great it is a little old. Most of the people working there are super friendly. Its really close to a 7 eleven and really close to a mexican restraunt so that was great. It is a little far but you can walk to like the historic part of Williamsburg. The pool is amazing it is a little dirty too. There arent many outlets but there is 1 near the beds where the clock is supposedto be pluged in. Overall I will be staying here next year. Also bush Gardens is pretty close!

I stayed the night of 6/29/23. I would not even give it a one star, but there is nothng lower. The window in the bathroom was plain glass where anyone could look in. When reported the manager said "No one has complained before." Many of the electrical outlets did not work. The air conditioner would not cool the room, they had to give me a fan. There was mold on the grout in the bath tub. The only good thing was it is close to the shops. You could not PAY me to stay here again. We actually tried to book a different hotel (we were going to forfeit the room charge) and go somewhere else but every place was booked.
