On 31 Oct 2023 I shipped a package at The UPS Store #0645 located on 1490-5A Quarterpath Rd, Williamsburg Virginia. I specifically requested the sales associate include signature confirmation and insure the package for $2,000. I was assured this was complete even though my receipt did not have a line item for the signature. When I returned home I again called to confirm the package was insured and signature confirmation was included. A few days later when the item was delivered I received a notification with the item placed outside the residence. The receipt would not confirm receipt so I went into The UPS Store location and again was told confirmation was included and they did not understand why the box was left outside with not signature of receipt. After 3 more trips to the store I spoke with another sales associate who informed me the signature confirmation box was unchecked when the item was shipped. I attempted to file a complaint with corporate but am unable to do so because the recipient refuses to file a police reports. I then spoke with the owner Mr Eddie Montero to address my concerns, he has admitted the error of his of employee in person and by voice mail but refuses to compensate me and will not take any responsibility for the loss of a $2000 vintage Chanel handbag. As a 30 year combat veteran I never expected to be treated so poorly by a fellow Veteran who has refused to address this matter in a professional manner. Mr Montero is now ignoring my calls and refuses to handle this manner in an honorable manner. If I could give zero stars with is more appropriate I would.

The Arc of Greater Williamsburg has been using the UPS store for several years to create signage for our Community Pickleball Challenge and our Williamsburg Landing 5k! They are easy to work with, creative, professional, and provide great customer service!

Jessica was very kind and patient with several different packages going all over the country that needed to be packed and shipped. She even made sure to enquire on discounts that may apply to me, to make sure I got the best price. Great place for holiday shopping!

Service at this store is hit and miss. I have had adequate service and I have had poor service, depending, it seems, on how motivated the staff feels on any given day. Today staff seemed gleeful to inform me of further inconvenience. Happily, there are other resources in town.

This place is great! I needed help from a notary, and the whole process was quick and efficient. The staff is helpful and chilled out! Definitely head to this UPS store for your needs if you're in the Williamsburg area.

This UPS store was supposed to pick up a forgotten piece of luggage on 6/30 at a hotel nearby. The lady I spoke to on the phone at this store guaranteed me they would pick up THAT day between 12-12:30. It’s been two weeks since I’ve heard anything about my package, so I called the hotel and they stated UPS never came. I called this UPS store and all I got was “yeah we don’t pick up from them anymore.” No apology, no rectifying the situation, and the lady I spoke with was incredibly unprofessional.

My package has been sitting there since April 4th and it is now April11th. I've made several calls to them and was told it wasn't there yet and they would call when it arrived. I called twice today. On the second call I was told it had just arrived. No, it arrived on the 4th!

Update 3/8/23.In response to the reply that I received for my review: The response says that the claim was filed on my behalf. I was never given a claim number. Further, I'm curious as to why the business has time to respond to my review yet doesn't have the ability to return my phone call or any of the visits that I've made to the store where I left a name and number to be reached.After seeing the response to my review, I contacted the UPS claims department directly. They told me that in the matter where a UPS store which is privately owned submits the claim that the store is contacted and not the customer because the store is considered the party that is submitting the claim and the customer is considered a third party. Without additional information, it would seem that I'm not being told the truth.Original review:I've been using this store for several years now. The employees are always polite and professional. However, I had an issue here that completely changed my view.I brought in an item that I shipped to a friend in New york. It was extremely well wrapped. When the gift arrived, it appear that the box had been opened and the item was deliberately broken. There were parts of it missing from the box and it had been resealed.I spoke to the store manager and she told me that she would open up a case with UPS. I have called a couple times since and was told that I would be contacted when something was decided. It has been about 2 months or so now and I have yet to hear anything back. I believe that they are just hoping I forget about it at this point. The item was clearly and purposefully opened and damaged and I would just like to know why.
