Thank you for taking good care of my boy. This is a vet that truly loves animals. They’re reasonably priced. The people who work for are kind, knowledgeable, and absolute angels. I know my kitty is in good hands here and I won’t be taking him anywhere else.

If you have a German shepherd or similar breed, I would avoid this practice. I took my 8.5 week old German shepherd here for his first vet appointment and I've never experienced such a bad vet visit in my life. First off, the vet tech told me everyone who worked at the clinic disliked German shepherds, but she liked them (red flag number 1). During the exam, Dr.Walls and the vet tech held him down very forcefully and aggressively to look at his ears, which caused him to yelp/scream loudly. They rolled their eyes and said I "needed to do something about this" (him reacting). I had him for LESS than a week at this point. He was so tiny, timid and still adjusting. I felt a lot of animosity when I was there as well, most of the employees were exchanging snide looks after seeing him. They were awful and made his first vet appointment really traumatic. I went to a different vet after this and they were really accommodating and made him feel comfortable. You need to be gentle with puppies REGARDLESS of their breed and show them things aren't as scary as they seem. Of course I worked with desensitizing him over time; however, some dogs are just more sensitive and need a little patience. He is the sweetest dog now and very well trained. It makes me sad to think about the transaction we had at this clinic. Even though it's been a couple years since this happened, I think about it often and thought to write this review in case anyone else might have experienced this or hopefully to stop it from happening again. I've volunteered and worked with animals my whole life and I understand what is okay and what is not okay when handling them. This was not okay. It's also not okay to collectively dislike a breed and treat them lesser. I've had really close calls with aggressive rotties and goldens, but would never assume they are all bad. Please do better.

Found this animal hospital from great reviews & was NOT disappointed! Staff was friendly; quick response time. Doc took plenty of time with us & later called personally to explain lab results & next steps. They seemed to really care about our fur baby even though never seen here before. Highly recommend!

We have used Apple Valley for over 30 years. Our latest pet Gibbs has had intestinal problems on and off for a long time. We have gone in and instead of having anybody talk to us. We have been ignored and not given any results of tests personally by a doctor. It took us going five hours to North Carolina. The doctor there took time with us reviewed x-rays even showed us x-rays didn’t hide anything from us and our dog is doing much bette after the doctor , explained in detail exactly what we needed to do.. It would be nice if you would take this as a positive comment and perhaps help people with their pets instead of charging for services, but not doing any explanations or showing you care.

Waited 6 hours for no treatment. Find it hard to believe they couldn’t have figured that out when they took the dogs vitals. The staff behind the counter were rude. If I ran that business I would fire all three. My dog was starting to shake after 5 hours so I started walking with her to calm her down. They didn’t like that at all.

Joke of a vet office. Called to see if they would fill a prescription on behalf of another vet office and they said "we're not that type of vet office the animal would have to go here" in other words if they aren't getting all the money they aren't interested in helping, don't bother with this company.

My cat needed to be seen for an eye injury. The staff worked with me to get an appointment quickly. Once at our appointment, the staff were super nice and helpful in getting us set up for a surgical appointment. My cat Pepper loved it there and made himself at home and fell asleep on the examination table.

I've been bringing my two dogs here since 2017, and they're great. I've never had an issue, thoughtful staff, and good advice for my dogs care. Great place!

The Dr was very chill and easy to deal with. Staff seemed nice. We were in and out in about an hour. Our dog couldnt even stand up when we went in. Came running out all by himself. Def pricey. But was well worth it

Years ago these folks were the best and took great care of our animals. Now you can't be with your animal when they are in this vet's grasp. Today I received as part of a mass mailing from them that they require you prepay $77 nonrefundable to make an appointment. I always pay my bill but I don't want to hand out a credit card over the phone to anyone. Do they pre-pay to get a haircut appointment? A lawyer appointment? A restaurant reservation? Speaks a lot about the practice. I expect the husband side with his clinic will soon do the same. Looking for new vets!

This animal hospital routinely runs late on appointments and forgets clients in waiting rooms. On top of that they overcharge for routine things like annual shots and recommend unnecessary blood work to hike up the bills. Just use VETCO clinics, they are way lower priced and actually stick to appointment times.
