Let me start by saying that the banking associate was amazing. The manager was not.
In trying to open an account with a cashier's check, which is absolutely guaranteed, I encountered the wildest problems. The manager apparently called my old bank and gave the wrong number off the check, which led to obvious problems.
When I called my old bank at the branch I closed my savings account to verify that this was my money from my account, the manager had left the room. I verified everything in front of the associate, then the manager came back and started asking the bank questions that were already answered. We had been on this call several minutes already, but she walked in as if we had been waiting for her.
I told her they can only verify these details to me, but she kept asking questions as if I hadn't said anything. She even asked the old bank manager if there was any insufficient funds when I closed that account. I had closed my savings, but still have checking there, so how would that work? It felt really judgey. Also, does she not trust the associate that had been working with me for an hour and some change already? It was disrespectful to everyone.
So nearly two hours in, the manager was satisfied that I could open my account. I literally just requested enough be released for me to pay my rent tomorrow, but the manager didn't want to release any funds (again, which are guaranteed) for seven days. She told me that maybe I would prefer to bank closer to where I live (I work in Winchester, but ok). She was absent and dismissive at the same time, which is a feat, but she nailed it.

This bank is horrendously behind when it comes to technology and is unimaginably corrupt and crooked. They refuse to do anything electronically, lock users out of their website and provide no help (after you've waited endlessly on hold), and steal huge amounts of money for accounts that aren't used as regularly as they would like them to be. I could not possibly recommend a financial institution less; be careful where you keep your money.

A negligent teller cost me $400 by marking on checks before seeing what kind of checks they were. Very angry. Bank couldn't honor their mistake. Bad way to do business. Horrible bank.

Candance Davenport is truly knowledgeable of commercial banking. She takes pride in making sure your needs are taken care of. Most banks have lost their community feel but Candance is keeping the local feel still alive.
