The customer service was pretty good, the process was smooth but the rented car wasn't clean enough, and the bumper was broken. The car had many mechanical issues and I had to call for a replacement.

Hertz absolutely saved my day, and my Christmas, when Enterprise told me they didn’t have a vehicle for me despite having my reservation for two weeks. They got my insurance reservation cleared, a car to fit my needs and picked me up from my work within two hours. They were kind and professional the entire time and have even given me courtesy calls regarding when my insurance will stop covering. Will never reserve through the local Enterprise again.

I made a reservation through a 3rd party, Expedia to be exact about 3 weeks ago. This would have been my first trip, my first rental, and I had a funeral to attend from the woman who helped raise me. Maybe it’s my fault for not double triple checking everything, I assumed my debit card would be fine since Hertz’s website says a debit card is, Expedia’s website says it’s fine. Come to pick up my rental, and the man at the counter tells me that yes, he can take a debit card, but they won’t accept Chime cards. When I tell you that my entire world shattered, that my brain flipped inside my skull as I frantically tried to figure out another solution, I wish I could just die on the spot so I wouldn’t have to deal with this feeling of guilt of missing my mothers funeral, because Hertz wouldn’t accept my form of payment. I even offered to pay in cash, and would have paid a security deposit if they’d asked. But no, and no other place was open, as my appointment was an hour before 5:00 pm, and Enterprise had a larger deposit requirement than I was prepared to pay, plus they wanted to charge an additional $100 for my trip. I know this has been a long review, and we could argue that it’s my fault for not double checking that Hertz accepted my debit card, but I’m so upset, I’m so devastated that I lost my opportunity to say goodbye. Please put this kind of information on your website, and notify your 3rd party arrangements of this “no Chime card” rule so that you don’t repeat this in the future. I wish I would’ve scheduled my reservation for the morning so maybe I could’ve figured something out with the extra time I’d have. I didn’t catch his name, and wouldn’t blast it on the internet if I did, but the man who checked my reservation, communicate more effectively next time. I’ve never felt so bombarded and stupid in my life, and you offered no help, other than to answer my question of whether there was another place nearby to go to. If I could post 0 stars I would. I’ll never try to use this company again. I hope no one else does too.

Worst service ever, I called to pick up a car through the insurance company and was told to wait until tomorrow morning so a huge chance you have a full size sedan. When I called the next morning they said we only have a Nissan Versa and I kept trying to figure out solutions and the person was talking to me kept changing his words( I asked if I can have Nissan for a day or 2 then when they have availability they can call me to stop change the car then he said we might not have a full size for a week then I said it’s okay then he said but I can’t prioritize that you get it ( which is unfair ) I said didn’t you say I can change it then he said I don’t think if you get someone right now I can’t switch with whenever I have for sedan…. And all along the way kept giving whatever it takes to make it easy but no way..I told him now you keep Crippling me then he said this all I have to say…. And on and on…..etc

Horrible. unprofessional personnel to deal with at Jubal Early dr. location. I rented a car from different location that was not cleaned and had a small crack in windshield which cracked half way across the next day. I purchased their LDW ins.and was still charged $265 for replacement. Then $400 for cleaning a vehicle we did not trash or smoke up. Agent was very rude and would not discuss or show me his finding . They did not contact the other rental center about prior condition but instantly charged $625 to my c card. Which was more than my $575 proposed fee and Hertz customer support will not help me by contacting either rental dealers. BEWARE ! 4 days@ $1200.

No stars at all!! They do not deserve it! If you are on the road and had a problem with my car. They do not even take the phone to help you. They recommended me to go there from customer service, but it was a waste of time. They said no cars available, and they don´t even bother to tell you anything about a possible solution. Anybody with an open business is more responsible than them! Also, even though they have an agreement with Dollar, they will tell you if your car was rented with Dollar, they don´t want to deal with that. Customer is never right with them. Go rent somewhere else!

This office location is by far the best car rental office I have ever used. My vehicle was ready and the check in process was easy. I made my reservation and paid online. Jacob was friendly and professional.Everyone there was friendly and professional. They go the extra mile in customer service especially when you leave your purse in their office…lol!!I highly recommend this place for your car rental needs.. I live in West Virginia and will drive there to rent a car.

The hertz In winchester is bad, Online if cars are available they aren't available to pick up and customer service was rude and didn't fully cancel when they had no cars, so I had to spend extra time with corporate to take care of it.

They falsely report cars that they rent out as stolen. And people are going to jail for a car that they rented because they Hertz reports it as stollen.
