The Winchester store in Virginia is terrible, terrible service, terrible staff, people don't give you the time of day, don't help you, they sit around doing nothing and don't help you resolve things, I tried to print the documents and left and I just paid, I paid at the machine and I couldn't print it and no one gave me the time of day terrible service from the store in Winchester Virginia

I came in earlier today (Sunday 6/9) to do an Amazon return and purchase a few small items. After what I saw, I felt like I had to post something here, especially after reading alot of the 1 star reviews people are posting lately. So many of the reviews here on Google report low customer service as a result of understaffing. Today I literally watched one young lady run laps around the copy center as she attempted to help customers like me with returns, customers trying to place orders or pick them up, customers wanting to check out with their purchases, continue to print new orders, and keep the entire area clean and organized...AT THE SAME TIME! I could see the anxiety in her face, but she smiled at every person she helped and did not waver. I wish I could have video taped her. She was a superhero. Yet, while I was there, I also personally witnessed at least 3 people get an attitude with her or the manager on duty for not getting them taken care of faster. Are you serious? Please - people of Winchester and beyond...you need to understand that is not always the fault of the business for being understaffed on a given day. Every working human has a right to a sick day or a personal day, a bathroom break and a lunch/dinner break... and, yes, sometimes there just aren't enough employees, period. Our economy is still struggling. This creates stress for everyone. The two employees there were doing the absolute best they could to help everyone and still get their job done well. Sometimes in life...there will be lines...someimes there will be waiting. If you don't have time to wait your turn, just come back another day. Do not make their job harder by being inconsiderate of what they are trying to do with the limited resources they have on hand. You can not understand the stress exceptional customer service puts on an employee when they are being pulled in multiple directions at once unless you've been in their shoes. And if you have been, you sure wouldn't treat another person the way these customers treated these superheros. I have been in these shoes for the last 28 years of my life: retail, food industry, self employed business woman now. It's not easy and it's unfair to take it out on the employees who are already struggling. We as a society have to do better. Kindness is free, compassion is free, empathy is free. It costs nothing to be a decent human being. And a HUGE pat on the back for the two employees taking care of the entire store by themselves. I hope this message is seen by Corporate and their excellence can be celebrated.

The worst customer service ? except for 1 cool guy at the print shop. The rest of the staff are pretty rude, especially the cashier.

I had a Amazon return, went to where I went last time (3 weeks ago) where printing is. The guy glanced over and rolled his eyes and went back to doing what he was doing. No hello or anything. I continued to stand there. After a moment he rudely yelled that if I had Amazon return next need to go to checkout line. Went to checkout line, I told the guy there what just happened and he got rude with me, saying I should have looked at the sign. The sign was so small. Anyway, they have awful manners and decorum in dealing with customers. If they can't be courteous to customers, they don't need to working with customers. I'm glad I don't shop at Staples for other needs (since they treat people like this) and for my Amazon returns, I'll go to another location. I wish Kohl's still did Amazon returns, they were so friendly and didn't tell at me. If you need to do Amazon returns, go to another location or pay the extra $1 for UPS. Staples is the worst!

Perfect experience and store. Very helpful over the phone ahead of the drive up, Q, the manager (I forget his name), and the young gentleman who helped find some rare items, all were very helpful, understanding, no nonsense, pointed me to a coupon, and made sure I was fully equipped for my new work from home office. I drove 1.5 hrs away from my store because they had inventory, and because the other store had put together a chair badly, they replaced it no questions asked. I appreciate you guys!

Positive Post ?I was in Staples earlier this evening with two of children and the gentleman working was truly a Godsend. So pleasant, super knowledgeable, and quick. Very impressed and pleased with the service I received, and it wasn’t even a store issue it was an Amazon return. If you see this, thank you ?? ?

Worst customer service ever!!!! Woman who works in print tonight, Monday Nov. 5th, is so rude and talks over you when you are explaining anything with a condescending tone like she’s annoyed to help you. After I expressed how rude she was she still continued to talk over me. This is after I was put on hold 5 times by diff employees who each ask the same questions over and over. I waited 4 days for what was supposed to be a 2 day at most print. My email was confirmed received by an employee when I called the day I first sent it and then again 2 days later I was told by an employee that it was still being processed. The end result is they now say they never got my email ever! They are impatient, rude, and nasty in every aspect of attitude and customer service.

On the morning of Sunday November 19th, I went to Staples to return my Amazon packages. As soon as the employee who was working the counter saw me and my packages he let out a huge sigh. He asked me how many returns I had to which I replied with “5”. He let out another huge sigh. About halfway through he lost the attitude as soon as he realized that I had screenshots of all my QR codes and had a system going to keep everything organized. At that point it was already too late as he was so rude about having to do his job. I couldn’t help but laugh to myself on the way out when I saw 3 more women walking in with Amazon returns.

Workers are nice, but they seemed overworked. What the heck are y’all doing to them? They deserve better than this.

I went to Staples to return an Amazon package since they have good store hours. At the desk under the Amazon sign a worker was sitting working on the computer and did not look up or acknowledge I was there. I went to the checkout line and they said I had to go back to printing. I went there and the worker there sent me back to the original place I was at. The person on the computer still did not acknowledge me and a tech support person finally did help. When trying to pull up the QR code the tech support worker admitted the cell reception is bad but I could connect to the store WIFI, which he said is also slow. For anyone looking to return a package or get customer service save the hassle and go somewhere else.
