Great historic hotel, beautiful pool and spa, parking was good, and 5 minute walk to the a great downtown area with shops and restaurants.

Beautiful Historic Property that has been updated but not in a generic way.
Very much in keeping with a traditional theme.
Love the overall feel.
Mattress slept better than all the properties we stayed in on this 2 week family trip, including the mattress in a mansion in Montreal.
Service was friendly and welcoming.
I may plan a trip to Winchester just to be able to stay at the George Washington Inn again!

Food and drinks: We attended the Thanksgiving buffet. It was very expensive and they ran out of certain items. Disappointing.

We absolutely loved staying here it was a fun night to feel fancy but it makes me sad that these kinds of places exist at all $200 a night 200.00 just to eat dinner and $200 if you want to have a couple drinks so one day is a 600 event..... if I knew all the money was going to make the location community and area a better place for all maybe it would feel okay but we won't ever come back because I don't really want to line some rich person's pockets.

Overall a nice hotel and a pleasent stay. Very conveniently located in the heart of Winchester with plenty of places to eat and drink.
