Let my significant other go right before the holidays because he was late once and because they listened to drama. They did not give him any reason why other than saying it was a no call no show because he did not get back to them until a couple hours later that day due to the fact he fell asleep from helping stay up with an infant all night multiple nights in a row! Terrible company! I would not recommend working here unless you want to deal with constant drama and lies and company who does not care about their employees or their families!

We signed a contract to replace our kitchen deck on July 25th. The contract says that work would begin within 30 days of permits being issued, and completed within 30 days of work being begun. Stoneridge's representatives collected a $2185 advance on the $7286 contract from us. The permit application they submitted was denied by Jefferson County, West Virginia due to major deficiencies in the application. I don't know what drawings, if any, they submitted, but the permit was denied because county needs detailed blue prints of the project before a permit may be issued. The person apparently in charge of getting permits represents that he has contacted the engineers to get the required drawings created. It has been over a week since the rejection letter, and still no drawings. Because there has been no permit issued, no work on our deck has been performed. After nearly two months of collecting $2185 from us, we want to know why there are no final plans from their engineering team, especially given that Jefferson County requires the plans before a permit can be issued. The person responsible for getting the permit whines about the unfairness of Jefferson County expecting project plans that conform to building code be submitted with permit applications, instead of knowing what the requirements are in advance and fulfilling them. He now blames the engineers for not having project plans after nearly two months. Stoneridge Outdoor Living is sitting on $2185 of our money, and they have done nothing to earn it. Given other reviews I am seeing on here, I am highly concerned about the quality of the finished product we will receive once they do decide to work. We were planning to use them to renovate our front porch next but will not do so given this experience with our kitchen porch.

After scheduling an appointment, I was told they won’t come take measurements to give an estimate for a deck replacement without my husband present. Literally mind blown.

Initially this company was great. Scheduling to get an estimate was quick and easy and customer service was very nice over the phone. The headache started when the construction began. We had agreed on an ALL Trex deck with Trex railing. We told the salesman more than once Trex railing was what we wanted when he tried to insist we get a cheaper alternative (Wolf railing?) but we said \\\"no, we want all Trex because we get a discount through our employer.\\\" We said this on two separate occasions, once at the first meeting and once again with him and the project manager. We signed the contract thinking we were getting what we had agreed on but when the materials came they delivered the wrong railing. The project manager told us the salesman did not write Trex railing in the contract so we would be charged an additional $3,000 because the \\\"Trex railing is that much more expensive\\\". Trusting him we signed the change order and gave him the money to get the correct railing. Once the project was finished we were given an itemized list and found that the Trex railing was only around $1,800, and they also included the materials for the incorrectly ordered Wolf railing which was barely any cheaper than the Trex railing. We expressed our concerns that the $3,000 extra we were charged was incorrect and that we had been charged for both the Wolf and Trex railing but our concerns we disregard despite the fact we now had the prices right in front of us. Not only were our concerns about the cost ignored but we noticed the day after the project was completed the deck boards dipped in spots where the joists were not level and it also collects rain water in the dips. We tried to express this issue with the project manager, Matt, and got no response back, so we left messages with the warranty and service department - no response, emailed the permit coordinator with pictures of the deck and also concerns about the price not adding up - also no response. About a month and a half after the deck was completed I was finally able to get through to a customer service representative who said they would ask their supervisor and get back to me as soon as possible and I still haven't heard anything, it's been over two weeks since then. I'm just very disappointed in this company. My advice to anyone would be to get quotes from other contractors before signing a contract and if you choose to go through them make sure you get an itemized list of what you're paying for. The deck overall looks nice, it's definitely an upgrade from what we had before but the wavy boards and the fact I think we were overcharged are my main concerns. Update: 2 weeks since they've responded to this review and still no one has reached out to try to resolve this issue.

The crews of workers did a fine job when the project finally started, each time they arrived and worked on the project. Our sunroom is now completed and beautiful. We did have to address upper levels of management over problems with communication and unexpected delays both long and short. What we thought would be a 3 month project took 13. Once we did reach upper management they took time to listen and discuss with us the reasons for the problems. After initial contact the delays were fewer and farther in between. Management was attentive to our concerns and recommendations. If they can proceed in future projects with improvements in communications and use foresight about possible unexpected delays, we can recommend this company. We now have a beautiful sunroom that our family and friends will be able to enjoy in the years ahead.

Out of four companies we talked with for the construction of a cover over our deck, we choose Stoneridge Outdoor Living. We found them easy to work with; they answered all our questions and offered plans for what we wanted and at a price we could afford. Their attitude and professionalism has been great. I will update my review when the work is completed but I have no doubt things will go well.
